YOUNG
We fight with something that looks like depression
Something that looks like anxiety
Some of us ADHD
Others simple spirit of procrastination
But, it's okay, they say
Because they haven't lived through what we live through everyday
They think it's easy to be a teen
In twenty nineteen
I don't want to say we have it hard
Because we have it easy if we compare
Ourselves to the ones living in despair
But our lives still cut as deep as a glass shard.
So how is it fine,
When some of us are committing suicide,
Smoking weed, getting drunk, just to numb the pain,
That's killing us when we lay on our sides?
It's just a phase, they say
But we just want to feel okay,
Maybe even better than today
But it's just a phase, they say.
