One More Chance
Teito x Reader
"Perverted Bishop, what the heck are you doing?" Teito said as you sat on the whirring hawkzile along with two other people. Frau, Teito and you had long returned Capella back to his family, and were currently flying towards the next god house. "Well, we have to stop and re-fuel. This place looks nice, so why don't you and (Y/N) walk around while I get a hotel to stay at and to re-fuel." Frau said as the hawkzile came to a stop.
You were the first to get off, not really liking the way Frau flew. The next was Teito with Mikage on his head. Come to me, young one. A voice rang in your mind as Frau and Teito bickered over something trivial again. Suddenly, a glimmer caught your eyes, and you whipped your head in the glimmer's direction. Gripping into your sheathed sword, you walked over to check the glimmer out. Come closer child. The same voice rang as you advanced. A small part of your mind scream at you to run. However, being slightly trained to be a soldier, you shoved that part to the side, and it soon became a dull ring.
I see pain and sadness in you... You will do just fine. This made you stop. What where you doing? Another part of the training told you to not waste time on unnecessary things. Just as you were about to turn around, a woman no older than thirty stalked out of the shadows that one of the buildings casted on the path. "My my. What a fine catch we have today." You made a decision to stay out of a fight, however you were rooted to the ground. Everything from your hips down was numb.
'What is happening to me? Why can't I move?' You questioned yourself as the woman made her way towards you. She reached a hand forward, revealing long red sharp nails. She cupped you face by the chin, and almost as quick as a snap had her hands pulled back. One of her red nails grazed your cheek, causing you to wince as the slightest bit as blood trickled down your cheek. Though you had a sword in hand, you did not want to engage in a fight, so just stood there as the lady laughed insanely right before your eyes. Her long pale sleeveless gown reached the floor, and gently swayed in the wind as a breeze blew by.
A scarf adorned her neck, covering the translucent top of the gown. Come girl. Come to the dark side. The voice rang yet again. You wondered if it was the woman or was it an external influence. But you let none of that get to you as you erased all emotion from your face, and stared indifferently at the woman. Feeling your gaze, the woman looked back at you and scowled. "You are stuck in the middle of the path, defenseless, helpless and worthless, and yet you stare with not a single emotion shown?" Her scowl then became a huge smirk that shook your whole body.
Listen little one. Can you hear the nothingness? Come join us and all your sufferings will disappear. You tried blocking out the voice and focusing on the woman that stood in front of you. Your legs were still paralyzed, and your will not to fight raged on. The woman then looked at you again. "(Y/N), stop resisting, and give in." This was when you realised the change in her voice. The first time she spoke, her voice rang at a very high pitched frequency. The second time, her voice darkened and sank down in terms of the pitch. This time, her voice matched the tone, pitch and context.
"All the pieces have fallen in place. All we need is you." As the voice in your head synchronized with the movement of the woman's lips, you had moved your right hand over to grab the hilt of your sword. If this lady was the voice in your head, then this will definitely not be an unnecessary fight. Left hand grabbing the sheath, feeling came back to your legs as you swung your sword out of its sheath. As the sheath fell to the floor from your hand, you lunged forward, and took a swing for her head, aiming to end the battle quickly. However, she caught your sword and cause you to come to a stuttering halt. Just as you stopped in front of her, you heard the sound of your sheath hitting the floor.
'Damn and I wanted to beat my record.' You thought as you tugged your sword back. However, the sword was never released from her grip. Even when you yanked harder, and blood splashed out of her wound. You gave the sword one last yank, and was able to get it free from her hand. Swinging the sword to the side, the blood splashed onto the floor, staining the pavement a beautiful crimson. "Argh. You will pay for what you have done. I will torment you until you wished you were never even born." The voice resonated as the woman's mouth moved in sync.
Time seemed to slow as you brought you sword up to cover you face as she took a lunge at you, aiming her nails at your eye. Just as her nails came into contact with your sword, a gust of wind swept past you, and all you could register was that the woman was blown back a few feet. Only when Frau ran towards the woman, did you realise that Teito had used his offensive zaiphon to attack the woman as she advanced to you. Blood seeped through your wound as you watched Frau take on the woman while flirting with her. You then took a step back, processed everything before taking the cloth dedicated to cleaning your sword and cleaned the blade before you stiffed it into your pocket.
You then walked over to where Teito resided with your sheath, took it and sheathed your sword. When you were done, you secured the sword to your waist and let go of the sword. Teito the walked up to you, and asked several questions on your condition. "I am fine. Just this graze." You said as you pointed to the flesh wound. He then took out a bandage, and pasted it on your wound. At the touch, your skin tingled, and sent an electric charge through your body. You averted your gaze some where else, and the clashing of metal and nail dimmed to a dull clash every now and then.
"I... I am sorry I was not there to protect you. S-so would you be so kind as to give me another chance to protect you?" Teito asked as his cheeks lit up with colour. You chuckled and leaned forward to peck his cheek. "But I should be the one to protect you." You stood back only to be pulled towards Teito once again. Your cheeks flushed, but even before you could say anything, Teito piped up. "Its a man's duty to take care of a woman, is it not?" This made you chuckle and say, "Fine...
One More Chance."
