Labrador x Reader

(S/N) = Sister's name

"Doctor Labrador! Let's go out and eat lunch. You have been holed up in your room for so long, you need to take a breather." You said as you sat at the edge of his desk. Ever since an accident that took your family's lives and badly hurt you, you had always stuck to the doctor that nursed you back to health. The incident was all over the news, about how a family skiing trip went all wrong.

You had gone to a snow tipped mountain to ski along with your family. It was the start of the winter, so not many people were there. The first day was a lot of fun, with all your family members skiing, and ending the day with a small competition, which you won. Though it was irritating to get the ice off the soles of your boots when you walked back up, you had a great time and was ultimately exhausted. The next day however, changed your life forever.

Looking at the snowboards, skis and snowmobiles, the next day started as any other day had. You picked a (F/C) snowboard and looked back to see your parents and sister taking the snowmobile. You then raced up to the top of the mountain to start snowboarding. When your family made it to the top, you gave a short goodbye, not knowing that was the last, and slid down the icy slope. Not long later, at the foot of the mountain was a person waving frantically at you, while others ran away.

You then looked back to see a heap of snow tumbling after you. Fear radiated in waves from you as only one word ran through your mind, 'Avalanche'. You then turned back as the snow got closer and closer. Your hair soon flew in your face half-way down the mountain, signifying the intensity of the avalanche, and telling you that it was right behind you. You tried ways to make you go faster, however with just one quarter of the mountain left to complete, the avalanche had grown tired of chasing you, and decided to swallow you whole.

Cold.

That was the only thing you felt. Your whole body was numb. The situation you were in only grew worse, as more snow piled on top of you. You had not even noticed that you had swiftly followed the snow in its decent to the foot. All you knew was that you felt like you were wearing clothes for the summer, and was wrapped with thick layers of snow. Your lips were pale, and red rose to your cheeks. Frostbite had started to kick in, and other factors contributed to your situation.

Soon you blacked out, hearing screams of 'There is a survivor!'

The next thing you knew, was that you were shivering vigorously, in the arms of your aunt. She had stayed at the hotel, unwilling to ski with you and your family. When 'family' came to mind, your brain moved. 'Where is mother? Father? (S/N)? Are they alright? What happened?' These thoughts took over, causing you to be oblivious to how near death you were. The frostbite had worsened, making you prone to many other sicknesses. Your aunt had called several doctors, that turned her down because of the state you were in. It had started to snow, when she decided to bring you to one last doctor.

She wrapped you with many coats and brought you to the hospital that was further away from town. By that time, your body had started to gain hints of blue, showing that too long a time had passed. The moment you heard a door open, you passed out in the arms of your aunt. The next time you a woke, you were faced with a bright light. 'So... Heaven rejected me? Pathetic.' You thought as you slowly sat up. Just when you got comfortable in your upright position, the door to your room opened.

A lavender haired man walked in. You deducted that he was a doctor, as his long white coat trailed behind him as he strode in. You were just about to say something, when he placed a finger on his lips, asking you to keep quiet. Only then did you realise the dip of your bed just beside you. Your aunt sat in a chair, as she lay her head on the bed, eyes closed. You looked at her and remembered your family. "Where-" You cut yourself off as painful memories flooded your mind.

"Nurse, her heart rate is picking up. I need help." The man said to a passing female nurse. She took a look at you, gasped and rushed out. Clutching a hand to your head, you clenched your eyes shut and curled your body into a ball. Your aunt was instantly awake and by your side. The doctor strode to your side and calmed you down slightly, however the painful memories just kept coming.

Your family's smiles.

Your goodbye.

And mostly,
the avalanche that claimed the lives of your family members.

After that day, you slipped into depression, however the nurses and doctor watched over you, and nursed you back to health. Ever since, you had begun to make friends with them. Though your aunt knew about your situation, she could not take care of you as she traveled almost all the time, and could not commit to the responsibility. And you had no other relatives. So you had to live on your own. The doctor knew about your situation, and supported you in whatever way he could.

"Doctor Labrador, if you do not rest, you will overwork yourself, and you will be the one in a sickbed." You said as he raised his eyes from the paperwork in front of him to meet your's. Lately he had been staying up late to meet the needs of patients and bills. Today was a rare day off for him, however he was still cooped up in his office. You then walked behind his desk and examined him.

His eyes were half-lidded, his cheeks were flushed and exhaustion was evident on his features. You raised a hand to his forehead. "You're burning up! I told you not to over work yourself!" You raised your voice as you got ready to run to get the things you would need. But before that happened, Labrador grabbed your hand and made you look at him. "I'm fine. Just a little rest would make me good as new." He said as he swayed while getting out of his chair. As he stood, he almost fell over, not convincing you that he was fine.

You looked over at the bed he had in his office for late night shifts. "Stay here, and wait for me to get back. The nurses are off today too, so I will have to take care of you by myself." You huffed and walked to the medical room. There you got a towel and a basin of water. You then walked over to another bench and got some fever medication, and held it in one hand. You then picked everything up, and walked to Labrador's office. When you reached, he was already half asleep.

You giggled and walked over to the bed, before placing the basin on a bedside table that was decorated with a vase of roses. Dunking the towel into the basin of water, you squeezed the excess water from the towel back into the basin before placing it on his forehead. You then got up and grabbed a bottle of water that sat on his desk. You took two fever pills and brought both the bottle of water and the medication to him.

Sitting up a little, he takes the medication, and lies back down. He then closes his eyes, going into a deep sleep. You chuckled at his peaceful face, and leant down. You kissed his cheek and sat back up, seeing his lips curl into a small smile. You then changed the towel once more. Saying something before you slept with your back against the bed.

"Get Well Soon."
