"(Y/N)!" Mikage yelled as you walked along the corridor. As you heard the voice, you began to walk faster. You did not like how he would have random outbursts at anytime. "Hey, (Y/N) slow down!" Picking up the pace even more, you tried to create more distance between yourself and the blonde. "Teito! Can you catch that girl for me please?" As if on cue, a brown haired boy walked up to you and blocked your path forward. You let out your frustration with a sigh and tried to shove pass the boy. And the keyword in this whole scene is 'tried'.

The boy did not even budge and by the time you were about ready to go all out, Mikage had already reached you and prevented any injuries being inflicted onto anyone. "(Y/N), meet Teito. Teito, (Y/N). Now that you have been acquainted, LETS GO EAT!" Mikage hollered causing the people who were nearby to look shoot odd looks at you three. You ignored the looks that were shot at you and gave up fighting with the blonde, allowing yourself to be dragged to the roof.

Once you were up there, Mikage let you go and fussed over his brunette of a friend. You took the opportunity to get away, seating yourself at the other end of the roof as the two boys occupied one end. Having nothing better to do, you observed the boys as you ate your food. You always felt uncomfortable when it came to Mikage. As far as you knew, and that was a lot, you were the only female in the military, and because of that, people avoided you, picked on you or simply ignored your presence as a whole.

You shook off the thought as you ate at your food. Looking over at the boys, you saw the one you now knew as Teito holding a jar of pills that you deducted were nutrition pills. The next moment you could hear Mikage trying to get Teito to eat proper food and not the nutrition pills that Mikage had accidentally labeled as 'drugs'. Finishing up, you stood to leave only to be called back by the blonde to stay a little longer. "I suggest you get to class soon. The teacher would not be amused by any tardiness. The same goes to you, Teito." You looked at the pair sharply as you spoke and turned to walk out the roof door to walk back to class.

When you got to class, people glanced at you and the chatty atmosphere dropped as the people whispered amongst themselves. Ignoring the loud whispers, you walked over to your seat and sat down before looking out to window. Looking to the sky, you saw a few birds flocking together. Jealous of the freedom they had and the lack of responsibilities and burdens, you huffed out and fixed your gaze onto the blue sky that was their background. A few hawkziles flew past, leaving trails of smoke in each of their wake. Not long later, the door opened to reveal the teacher. After setting his things onto the desk, greeting him, he said, "Class, today I will we giving you an assignment that you will have to do in-" Before the teacher could finish, the door roughly swing open again to reveal a panting Mikage. Everyone's attention immediately went to the door, except yours however.

You sighed expecting this and lazily turned your head just in time to see the teacher sighing once again. Just as the teacher was about to start a lecture, you stood up and walked to the desk, tired of the repeated scoldings. "Excuse me sir, but I do not think you should waste your time and energy trying to get anything through this one's thick skull, so may we continue with class sir?" You said as you stuck your thumb out to the blonde next to you. Soon enough, the teacher heeded your advice on not wasting time and energy on the blonde. From you peripheral vision, you could see Mikage grin at you thankfully while you just stared ahead, deadpan.

Finally letting out his frustration in a sigh, the teacher said, "Very well miss (L/N). Take a seat Mister Celestine, Miss (L/N). So as I was saying..." You walked back to your seat and payed attention to the assignment that was to be revealed. "The assignment will be in pairs. The idea is for you and your partner to spar using zaiphon operated weapons. The loser with have to change his, or in Miss (L/N)'s case, her weapon. This will continue until there is no winner or loser for 20 minutes." You stared at the teacher as he so plainly segregated you from the entire class of males. Some had snickered when the teacher had said that, some looked back at you to take a few glances and some just plainly stared at you.

Because this was repeated so very often, you barely felt anything. The teacher then told the class to get into pairs. You turned your head to the window, knowing that no one will choose you and someone will have to be reluctantly put with you. However, your attention was snapped back as you heard the sound of a chair being dragged in your direction. Turning around, you stared straight at a grinning Mikage. Rolling your eyes, you looked back at the teacher trying to shake Mikage's stare off. "Okay. Now that you all are in pairs, you have a month to complete this assignment. You can start now as the rest of this period is a free period. Class dismissed."

You got up and left. Because this lesson was the last for that day, you headed off to run some errands that was very important. When you came back, you had a bag of groceries, and a bag of study related things. Dropping them off at your personal room, you walked to the training grounds. The school had provided you with a private room due to your gender, and the fact that any boy who shared a room with you would complain until daybreak. Walking through the doors of the training ground, you walked over to a rack full of zaiphon operated weapons. Grabbing a spear, you concentrated on the amount of zaiphon you put in, and walked over to a dummy that had been placed in the middle of the training ground, probably by a class that had to use this room.

Inhaling sharply, you imagined a scenario where you had to evade attacks, and started moving accordingly. Dodging imaginary blows, you ended up behind the dummy and aimed for the back of the part that represented the head of a human. Just as you were about to pierce the head, you felt a presence behind you and turned back to launch the spear at the intruder. What you saw shocked you, as the spear went soaring in the direction of the blonde that had come in late for class today. The blonde was taken aback while you watched in horror. "MIKAGE!" You shouted before you started sprinting after the spear. However it was no use as it already had a head start and you had used a lot of energy, thus its speed.

Though shocked, Mikage did not even seem the least bit scared. Just as the spear entered a meter's radius from him, a flash of brown dashed across the open door and caught the spear. "Thank goodness you caught that Teito! When (Y/N) is concentrating, she doesn't hold back." Mikage grinned as you skidded to a stop right before slamming into both the boys. Panting from the sprint and the shock, you gave Mikage a death glare and released a breath you never knew you held. Looking between the both of you, Teito said, "Lights out in two hours and forty three minutes. Be back by then." Teito dropped the spear and left the area with Mikage waving at his back.

Trying to resist the urge to pick the spear up and stab Mikage with it, you clenched your fist and punched him lightly causing him to lose balance and fall to the floor. Surprised, you looked at his slumped over form and chuckled. "Hey you wanna start that assignment now?" Mikage asked as he got up rubbing his face and the place you hit him at. 'Perfect time to exact my revenge...' You thought with a slight smirk. "Sure why not?" You said as you got a katana from the rack. Grinning, Mikage went over to grab a cutlass as you pushed the dummy away from the centre. Looking at the clock that hung in the corner of the dimly lit room, you just barely made out the time.

'Two hours and forty minutes till lights out...' You then returned your attention back to Mikage and ran forward with your katana at your side. Swinging the katana forward, Mikage jumped back, narrowly missing the tip of your blade. 'Swift movements but too heavy, weighing the user down. The blade must have been made from a heavy metal.' You thought about the weapon as Mikage dodged another blow that came at his right. Smirking, he dodged another that came at his left and rushed towards you. Realising what he was about to do, you jumped back and raised the katana just in time to block an attack that Mikage had aimed for your head. Furrowing your brows, you exerted more force and pushed him off you.

Aiming to injure at least his arm before he became a threat, you lunged for him. "You would look better in a dress... What do you think (Y/N)?" Mikage said, catching you completely off guard. You missed him totally and attempted to put some distance between you and Mikage. A blush of embarrassment and rage formed. "You are going to pay for that." You said darkly before lunging for him yet again. "Why should I pay for it if its true (Y/N)-chan? Many boys have already fallen for you, however they avoid you so that they will not be the centre of rumours." Swinging down much to early, it put you in a vulnerable situation which he had no hesitation in taking advantage over.

"Aw, looks like (Y/N)-chan is very distracted today. Could it be that I am too attractive that she is only focusing on me?" Mikage said as his cutlass stilled under your chin. Smirking you said, "In your dreams Celestine." Just as you walked over to the weapons rack, you blushed as your already racing heart picked up the pace after you realised what you had said outloud. "And I would love to see (Y/N)-chan in my dreams." You could practically hear the smirk in his voice. Calming down, you picked up a decent sized bow and tested the weight and the string. You then picked up a quiver and filled it with arrows. You looked at the clock once more and thought 'Two hours and thirty five minutes'. You then turned and walked over to Mikage. "This time stop fooling around." You said and gave Mikage a glare.

You nocked and arrow and drew the string back, aiming for his arm to try and slow him down. "You know, you have to stop being so serious. It brings wrinkles to that beautiful face of yours." Caught off guard, you lowered your aim, released the arrow and looked at the arrow, shocked that you had released it. The arrow just barely grazed the right side of the right long sleeve of his uniform. Growling, you yelled at Mikage to stop fooling around and ran in a circle to keep Mikage from attacking. When you stilled, you were behind Mikage. You nocked another arrow and aimed for his leg. "Come one (Y/N), you should smile more. It lights a room up." This caused your aim to falter yet again and as you released another arrow you looked at it shocked once again, as you did not intend to release the arrow.

The arrow flew a short distance and embedded itself on the floor just a step away from Mikage's leg. Mikage turned around and walked up to you slowly. You panicked and dropped the bow as you backed up. You were new to this feeling of someone pulling the strings of your frozen heart. However you really liked the fact that someone finally took the time, effort and trouble to understand you. Mikage soon loomed over you as you stopped walking back. He took the quiver from your shoulder and dropped his cutlass. Dropping the quiver soon after, he held both your hands in his. Your mind clouded over, confusion soon took over and the next words of Mikage were barely heard.

"(Y/N), you are one of the most stunning girls I have ever met, and I want to be the only one to cherish you and love you. You are my light and I will never let you go." Mikage said as he embraced you. You slowly processed the feeling and everything became clear with his next few words. "(Y/N), will you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?" Close to tears you were as you hugged him back, nodding and saying, "As long as you promise to never leave my side." Pulling back and smirking, Mikage saluted you and said, "Till my death." You smiled, tearing up before lunging at him, hugging him. "So it's my victory this time?" Mikage asked, playfulness dripping from every word.

If you were not that much into the moment, you would have rolled your eyes at his childishness. This time however, you chose to smile whole heartedly, which took Mikage's breath away as he pulled back a little to see your expression.

"All Right, You Win."
