*REASONS BEHIND THE REASONS*

           I dreamt of a November winter, image as clear and the moment as dark as the night, I remembered my younger self walking down memory lane towards a frightening trauma, I watched as My covered feet sunk into fluffy white snow as the howl of the winter night breeze rings in accordance with my clouded breath.

I remembered being fueled with determination as I stared straight ahead at the forest, it dark winter hands rouse the fear I still had of it but at the moment it's my curiosity that is purely driving me deeper.

            I continued forward passing dark trees covered in thick layers of snow suddenly hearing voices that got closer to me.

"Melly?, Melly, where are you?"

I froze at first before my brow furrow into a glare, turning around at the dark haired boy packed in thick clothing as mine rushing as fast as he could towards me.

I was pissed seeing him there.

"Ouff you silly Olaf, why are you following me?"

Ever since we watched the Disney froze I had took it upon myself to call Tyler Olaf and also stating their similarities in characters.

His big green eyes relaxed as he walked the distance to me stopping just in front of me, his tall form staring down at me with a pout.

"I saw you heading into the forest that dad said we shouldn't enter, why did you enter the forest Melly?"

My glare got angrier, I could almost feel streams coming out from my head.

"Because I want to know why, I also want to confirm if I really did see some of the townspeople enter here"

It sounded crazy to me but being eight my curiosity always got the best of me.

Tyler gave me an annoyed looked before replying, emphasizing his words in hopes I would understand and seize my curiosity.

"That's ridiculous Melly, its Flower day, they might have entered the forest to play or to get somethings"

Tyler knew me well enough to know when I'm lying or hiding something. It just that I  didn't know how to explain the pull I felt toward the direction I was heading when it was past my bedtime or the whispers I hear in my head.

I knew I wasn't normal ever since I turned five months before my father's death and after, Damien had constantly told me so and has been training me the best he knew that is if you consider the looping he always does.

"Right... Which is why you head back while I go see"

I wanted him out of this, I didn't want him following me into the spooky forest.

"I can't leave you here all by yourself"

His words shocked me.

"And why not?"

I recalled almost yelling out in frustration, I concluded that he was being silly again.

"Because we are a team"

My brows rose so high before I turned around so fast I almost got whiplash but I ignored that feeling once my eyes landed on my other best friend.

"Ugh not you too Jay, this isn't a treasure hunt"

He pinned me with a glare that made me realize he heard a lot out of mine and Tyler's conversation.

"No more secrets Mel"

We stared down. I felt myself giving in cause I knew they've got me.

Am I labeled alone when I have courage on my right hand and faith on my left hand?

"Alright fine"

Besides good friends don't let you do stupid things alone.

"What!! Are we really going deeper into the forest?"

Wow it took about five seconds for Tyler to shit back to his shitless character, geez what a record.

"Yes so don't be a chicken about it and shut up"

Jaden snapped back at him.

"Am gonna get answers, and those voices I keep hearing from this forest are going to answer me"

I peeved at him, giving him my meanest look.

"Wait! What voices?", Tyler yelled out in an hoarse voice

"You heard them too?" Jaden jabbed out hurriedly.

"Guys? This isn't some Scooby doo mystery hunt right?"

I was getting more pissed off and cold.

"Well!! there's only one way to find out right?"

With that we continued further into the forest.

The whispers got louder the further we went. I was more curious that only Jaden and I heard them and not Tyler. What was our connection to this place and why was there  smoke coming from down there.

We were scared shitless by the figure that suddenly appeared in front of us. I think Tyler peed his pants.

"Mama Serena!!"

She was shocked to see us then, her eyes looked clouded before panic flashed behind them.

"What are you kids doing here?, you shouldn't be here"

"Mom?"

Not only was I the one shocked to see her but Jaden too, it cleared my suspicious that half the townspeople were in the forests celebrating Flower day while the other half were in the pack house or in their houses having a good night sleep.

From what we were told Flower day is celebrated on a full moon, it marks the beginning of a new life and fertile growth for the people of Brigima mostly the humans.

So why were there people sneaking at night to the forest?

"Where is your father? He should be watching you guys"

Jaden had a sheepish look on, one that made him resend his father.

"Yeah dad's not really a good baby sitter, mom"

If Mama Serena was a dragon am pretty sure there would be steam out out of her head in waves.

Her eyes kept darting back to me in panic while she murmured under her breath then replying us.

"I will have a talk with him but you kids need to get out of here its not safe"

"Why? What's going on over there?"

Tyler seem to get his voice back probably after realizing that something was wrong and Mama Serena was hiding something from us like how she was full blown panicking and prevention us from going further.

"Nothing"

"We can here people whispering mama Serena, Jaden and I"

A flash of horror crossed her face, her hands reached out to us forcing us out unwilling back the way we came.

"Ouch mom!"

"Mama Serena ouch! That hurts"

"Ouch mama Serena what's going on?"

             My eyes flutter open behind the flashes of light from my dream or rather a memory of long ago. It was the closest we ever got to discovered what was so special about this town.

            As the years passed on along with our failed attempt at uncovering the truth, we discovered that Every year the wolves celebrate the royal ball in collaboration of the blue moon, each and every respectable alpha and beta of any pack must travel to either Russia or Ohia where the ball would take place.

Every Alpha except ours the only reason why I do know this is because Alpha Greene told me as a child and during those times we rogues gather in the pack house for our own celebration, eating, drinking and telling stories around a camp fire.

I discovered something odd though. Every wolves celebrate that day but the town people celebrates another behind our backs especially on the full moon.

I used to love those events they call it the flower festival, the sweet smell of something newly bake fills the air, fruits and vegetables are sold cheaply some given freely, flower costumes are also sold, handmade from tall plantain leaves to be used as skirts, crown weavon from wild flowers or any variety.

So while the wolves celebrate the blue moon the humans celebrate the flower festival. No one ever questions why, no one but me and I was this close to finding out what secrets are hidden from us.

              Another day in school, I find myself standing by my locker getting my book for my first lesson. Tyler, Jaden and I came together but they had both gone somewhere to who knows. Jaden probably to his make out session with Claria while Tyler to his slut shoving his tongue deep inside her throat and me to my locker because my dear sweet brother and intended.

Yep! I said intended, yeah I know but Alpha Greene made sure to shove it deep inside my head ever since I was 16, A single lie discovered is enough to create doubt over every truth expressed.

'I don't want my son's mate to rule this pack what if she doesn't know what she's doing. I want you to rule because I made you to become who you are, your loyalty resides in this pack and me you are bond to us till you die so say no to ever finding love because the only love you will ever find will be the one I create for you'

'Yeah I know you are surprise by those words, but Alpha Green isn't always silly and old, he's what I call a con artist, it's how he became Alpha of the rogues'

          So with that declaration that I was bethroned, Tyler and Jaden made sure to scare away all male advances. Not that am complaining am happy no boy would disturb me just to get into my pants but sometimes it gets pretty lonely and I mostly hate the part that I belong to Ty, Yes I might have given up on ever finding love because Alpha Greene made sure of it but sometimes even just for a minute I imagine what it would feel like you know to love someone deeply like Claria or like back then when I had a major crush on Jaden.

It seems as though that love hates me too. My love life has always suck, look at Jaden for example I loved him, I confessed my feelings we even shared a very beautiful kiss when he was 15 and I was 13 only for him to dump me saying we should just remain friends.

He was my first crush and first love now I doubt I will ever find love.

And to be clear I don't hate Ty for his father's decisions and I know the reasons he's after sluts is because he wants to give me space but come on what moron does that in the presence of their intended? A silly Olaf who needs to be zap by the zappy zappy of Harry potters wand.

While distracted with my locker the sweet smell of Citrus and peppermint that could only belong to one particular person fills my senses before a familiar voice called my name.

"Yo!!! Melly pooh"

I cursed lightly at the nickname before smiling thinking it was the best idea to try out my new trick.

I had read the book I got from California, the procedure were simple and wouldn't blast me in the face unlike last time.

Note to self never wear metal bracelet, I double check the jean and crop top I had on just to be safe.

I took lungful breaths before closing my eyes and clearing my mind, my body relaxed taking me into a calm trance, then I focus my energy on being unseen while muttering the words from the book, it took a while before I felt myself blend in with the air. It was like an upgrade to my elemental powers, I felt lighter and more confident in this form.

"What the fuck!!?" Tyler's shocked voice was what brought me back to the task as I heard him curse,

I chuckled lightly feeling proud as I the bright awe-struck on his face. He's one of those that loves seeing me do some magic.

Slowly moving about so as to not make a sound I manage to get behind Tyler and was about to appear and scare the hell out of him when he grasp my arms

'Huh?'

"You know I can smell you right?", He smiled acting all cocky after just a few seconds ago of him looking all silly.

I appeared pouting at his grinning face.

"Next time pumpkin" He ruffles my hair chuckling lightly.

I squat his hand glaring daggers at him playfully before rolling my eyes.

"Whatever, I just need to hide my scent that's so next time Olaf"

He grin once more, his green eyes twirling in mischief before dropping his arms on my petty frame.

"Come on Melly pooh lets get to class".

It's not much but I was trying to make you guys understand that they had been suspicious about the secrets of their hometown for a long time but with no luck yet that didn't mean they have given up.
