"I had fun today." Tzuyu whispered near his ear as they stood inside the train.
Taehyung forcefully smiled at her, not wanting to make her feel that he didn't have fun hanging out with her.
They didn't go straight home because she keeps on insisting to have a walk in the park and have dinner together.
And just like before, Taehyung couldn't say no even though his mind is still occupied by Jungkook and the disappointment in his voice.
The train came to a stop, which is what Taehyung had been praying for a while now.
"See you in school." Tzuyu cutely muttered, placing a soft kiss near the corner of Taehyung's lip.
He just nodded his head while she smiled at him before going out of the train, leaving the brunet sighing in relief.
He checked on his watch, realizing that it's way past the time a good college student should go home.
A few more stops and Taehyung was able to reach his own. He made a run for it, quickly entering the gate to Jungkook's house. He stopped in the front door and hurriedly turned the knob around, only to find it locked.
"Hey, Jungkook!" He knocked a couple of times and called out his name, but the house is so quiet, like no one's inside.
Taehyung furrows his eyebrows at this. Jungkook went home earlier than him so he should be inside.
The brunet went on his house next door, finding his mother watching in the living room.
"Hi, mom." Taehyung greeted, kissing her cheeks in a hurried manner.
"Hi, sweetie. Why are you so late?" Tessa inquired, noticing the unsettling expression in his face.
"Got a little thing going on in school." Taehyung stopped before continuing, "Have you seen Jungkook? Did he eat dinner here?" He asked in a rush.
Tessa blinked her eyes a couple of times, "No. He hasn't gone home yet. I thought you two are out together." She said, a bit curious.
The brunet furrows his brows even more. "He went home ahead of me, though." He muttered.
"Maybe he just went out with a friend. Have you eaten already, honey?" Tessa asked.
The brunet nodded his head. He went upstairs, fumbled through his bag to find his phone.
Taehyung quickly dialled Jungkook's number but his calls just go straight to voice mail. He sighed, feeling a bit worried for the ravenette. He dialled once more, but this time it's Jimin's number he's calling.
A few rings and Jimin answered.
"Hey, Tae." Jimin greeted over the noisy crowd.
Taehyung couldn't clearly hear what he said, the sound of loud music ringing to his ear.
"Hey, are you still out?" Taehyung asked.
Jimin shouted over the noise. "Yeah! I'm still with the guys! What's up?"
Taehyung bit his lower lip. "Is Jungkook with you?" He asked in a low voice.
"What?! I can't hear you! What's that?" Jimin responded at the top of his lungs.
Taehyung sighed. "Is Jungkook with you?" He repeated, louder this time.
"Jungkook?! No! Aren't you together?!" Jimin asked, now irritated by the loud sound in the club.
The brunet heaved a long sigh. "Okay. Thanks, Chim." He uttered, quickly ending the call even before Jimin could ask some more.
Taehyung dropped his body on the bed, mind still occupied by Jungkook. He badly wants to talk to him, explain himself. He doesn't want to sleep again with another misunderstanding with his best friend.
With this in mind, Taehyung changed his clothes and head out of his room. He rushed down the stairs, making Tessa flinch at his heavy footsteps.
"Are you going out again?" Tessa called out.
Taehyung just nodded his head. "I'll be back later, mom." he answered, rushing out of the house.
He'll try to find Jungkook in the places he knows he'll be and hopefully get to talk and clear the feud between them.

It's past 2 in the morning when Jungkook returned home. He got few shots to keep his mind away from thinking of a certain brunet who just keeps on running in his mind.
He felt so fucked up, being utterly pissed and hurt everytime he sees that bitch kiss Taehyung on his cheeks, wrap her arms around his arm possessively like she owns him.
Damn.
He hates to see her all cutesy around him, like an innocent girl who loves him so much, but Jungkook knows better.
She's a slut hiding inside a shell. She'll hurt him once again.
But fuck it!
Why can't Taehyung see that?
Why can't he see that she'll never be good enough for him?
Why can't he see Jungkook... more than just a friend?
"Fuck you, Taehyung." The ravenette whispered under his breath. He kicked his gate open, frustrated to himself.
He should have drowned himself to alcohol until he couldn't think of Taehyung anymore.
Jungkook walked near his door, only to be halted, seeing Taehyung slumped on his doorstep, leaning his back on the door with his head resting on his lap.
He stopped, his emotions going overboard, the alcohol spiking it up some more. He took a step forward, making the brunet stir and raise his head.
Jungkook inhaled a sharp breath, mesmerized by Taehyung's innocent sleepy eyes, his hair swaying beautifully with the wind, his lips a bit parted as he blinks at him.
"Jungkook?" He called out, voice deeper than the ocean, sending Jungkook into overdrive.
Taehyung wipes his eyes, realizing that Jungkook has finally gone home.
"Where have you been? I've been looking all over for you. You're not even answering my calls." Taehyung muttered, standing on his feet, now clearly seeing Jungkook's face even through the darkness of the night.
The brunet held his breath, witnessing the look in Jungkook's eyes. He's staring at him with longing, with pain, and something more.. something stronger than anything he had seen before.
"A-are you okay?" Taehyung stuttered, suddenly feeling a great tension filling the air. He subconsciously tucked a strand of hair behind his ear, awkwardly looking anywhere but the ravenette in front of him.
"Why are you here? Did you fucking wait for me?" Jungkook asked, his voice sounding dangerous yet thrilling to Taehyung's ears.
The brunet felt like he had bitten his tongue. "W-well.. I-I didn't really.. uh.. wait for you.. I didn't know I fell a-asleep here... Yeah.."
Great. Just great Taehyung. You sounded so shitty.
"Anyway, I should get going, yeah? Maybe we should just talk tomorrow." Taehyung haven't taken a step yet when Jungkook firmly held him by his shoulders and slammed him on the closed door.
Taehyung gasped in shock, seeing Jungkook's serious face nearing to his.
"You're torturing me Taehyung." Jungkook whispered as he leaned impossibly close.
Taehyung felt scared. So scared that he closed his eyes as he trembles. He felt scared because at the back of his mind, he's anticipating Jungkook to kiss him.
Oh God!
He wants Jungkook to kiss him.
The brunet fluttered his eyes open, his breathing ragged as realization hits him like lightning. He's scared, eyes showing the fear that consumes him.
And Jungkook sees it, which drives him over the edge. His fist curled up, punching the door with all his frustrations.
Taehyung gasped, flinching as he sees Jungkook's fist planted on the right side of his head, just a strand away from Taehyung's face.
Jungkook looks so murderous, like he's trying to keep himself together.
"J-Jungkook.." Taehyung mumbles out of breath. He felt Jungkook's left hand tighten on his arm as he leaned his head, resting his forehead on his shoulder.
Taehyung stiffened, feeling Jungkook's grip tighten even more, but he didn't say a word. He saw Jungkook's back going up and down in a rapid manner, as if he's catching his breath.
The brunet doesn't know how long they stayed like that, with Jungkook's forehead resting on his shoulder, and Taehyung just standing there, mind not functioning.
He could feel the warmth of Jungkook's hand on his arm, his hot breath fanning his forearm. He's feeling so lost in the proximity when Jungkook slowly pulled away, took a step back before looking him in the eyes.
"Don't show your face to me for a while, Taehyung." Jungkook muttered in a restrained voice. He moved Taehyung out of the way, inserting his key on the knob before getting in.
He closed the door, only to stop when Taehyung pushed his hand on the way, preventing him from closing it.
"Taehyung." Jungkook warned, his mind getting so fucked up that he feared he'll do something both of them will regret in the morning.
"Let me in." Taehyung whispered, his voice so soft and low, making Jungkook groan.
"Go home, Taehyung. This is my last warning." Jungkook warned, his whole being getting so worked up.
The ravenette didn't hear any response, however, Taehyung remained his hand in the doorway.
"Taehyung, I swear to God! If you don't fucking leave.." Jungkook grunted, his frustration getting the best of him.
But Taehyung didn't leave. Instead, he pushed the door open, letting himself inside the lion's den.
Jungkook gaped at him, his eyes full of mixed emotions as he stared at Taehyung who slowly closed the door with his head hanging low.
"what if.. if I don't leave.. What?.. Will you- will you kiss me?"
The ravenette was stoned in his place, his eyes wide, hearing those words coming out of Taehyung's lips. He took a step back, not knowing what to say.
"J-just.. Just go." Jungkook said in an exasperated voice.
"...because if you don't, I will." Taehyung whispered instead, not minding him.
Even before Jungkook could comprehend, Taehyung ran towards him, tipping his toes up until their faces are levelled.
Jungkook held on to his breath, seeing Taehyung's determined eyes. Taehyung stared at him before slowly letting their lips touch.
It was a brief, yet fleeting moment when their lips brushed together. They felt electrified, moving away as soon as they felt that spark, but not too far.
Taehyung quickly held Jungkook by his shoulders, while the ravenette wraps his arms around his waist.
They stared at each other, getting lost at the passion in their eyes. No one dared to speak, afraid to ruin the moment.
Jungkook tipped his forehead forward against Taehyung, closing his eyes as they breathe each other's breath.
He opened his eyes, Taehyung staring at him as well. Jungkook leaned forward, planting another soft kiss to Taehyung's soft lips.
"Tomorrow.. If you regret this, just.. just blame it on the alcohol." Jungkook murmured, kissing Taehyung once more, but this time with hunger.
He kissed him with the burning passion he's been dying to show him, letting his hand grip Taehyung at the back of his head as they deepen the kiss.
Taehyung was lost from then on. He lets himself be carried away by desire that creeps under his skin.
He wants this.
He wants Jungkook.
And whether he regrets it or not when the morning comes, he doesn't care.
All he knows is Jungkook's kissing him with the same need, pulsing in his veins.
