Taehyung once again felt awkward with all the attention he's getting as soon as he attended school.

They were treating him with extra care and consideration which made him a bit uncomfortable, but the greatest support that he had gotten was from Jungkook who won't let him do anything without him.

"I'll get our food." Jungkook said as soon as Taehyung was settled on his seat.

"Okay. Thank you." Taehyung smiled as he stretched his legs under the table.

They're currently in the cafeteria for lunch. His friends were on the line to get their food while Taehyung was left in their table to wait.

A lot of students were in the cafeteria, the line was long which is why Jungkook volunteered to get their food.

As he was patiently waiting, he suddenly felt arms circling around his neck.

"Baby.." Tzuyu nuzzled his head on his neck, making him flinch.

"Tzuyu.." Taehyung's eyes turned wide. He totally forgot about her.

His eyes darted on the ravenette who's now looking at their direction with a straight face.

"I was really worried when I heard you were injured." She said in a soft voice.

Taehyung wanted to push her away, but she just clings to him even more.

"You didn't even tell me about it. I would've taken care of you." She pouted as she looked at his face.

"Uh.. Tzuyu.. you see.." Taehyung doesn't know what to say. He could feel Jungkook's strong gaze at them and he knows it's not a good thing.

"He didn't tell you because he's not obligated to."

The two of them turned their heads upon hearing Ji-Eun's voice.

"What?" Tzuyu raised her brow as she looked at Ji-Eun who sat next to Taehyung.

"Don't you get it, girl? He's not interested in you. It's too obvious." Ji-Eun remarked, to Taehyung's surprise.

Tzuyu furrowed her brows as she looked at Taehyung and then to Ji-Eun.

"What the hell are you saying? He is my boyfriend.. and why are you even meddling with our business?" Tzuyu retorted back.

Ji-Eun giggled, the kind which was full of mockery and insult but in a very sophisticated way.

"He was your boyfriend. Past tense. He's no longer yours, can't you understand that?" She batted her eyes cutely, voice soft in contrary to her words.

Tzuyu seemed taken aback. Her gaze alternated the two, disbelieving what she's hearing.

She scoffed, finally realizing what's going on.

"So you replaced me with her?" She looked at Taehyung with anger in her eyes.

Taehyung's eyes widened at her words.

"That's why you're ignoring my calls and even declining my invitations to my house?" She gritted her teeth, feeling angry from getting her ego crushed.

"Yeah, now run along and find another man whom you can play with." Ji-Eun said, making Tzuyu scoff.

"Wow, never thought you have it in you Ji-Eun. Thought you're an angel.. turns out you're a faker." Tzuyu crossed her arms over her chest as she looked at Ji-Eun with mocking eyes

Ji-Eun just laughed, eyes raking up and down Tzuyu's physique.

"You're one to talk." She uttered in the softest voice. "You're acting like someone who doesn't go around hopping on every guy's dick you come across with." She sweetly smiled.

Taehyung almost choked on her words. He looked at Ji-Eun in amusement, not expecting such words to come out of her mouth.

"What did you say?!" Tzuyu stood, towering over Ji-Eun who doesn't seem fazed.

"Girl, don't start drama here." Ji-Eun looked around, seeing that some students are now staring at them.

"Can't you see? Everyone's seeing how unsophisticated you're acting." She whispered, making Tzuyu even more upset.

She smiled. "Just go and leave. Don't make yourself look even more stupid than you already are."

Tzuyu looked around and noticed that some of the students are murmuring.

From the looks of it, they're thinking she's lashing on Ji-Eun, sweet and innocent Ji-Eun.

She scoffed as she glared at the other. "Fine. You can have him. It's not like I really care." She rolled her eyes and left without glancing back.

Taehyung, who was so surprised of everything that has happened, couldn't say a word.

What the fuck just happened?

He looked at Ji-Eun, noticing that she's staring at him.

"Uh.. what was that just now?" Taehyung finally asked.

Ji-Eun just shrugged her shoulders. "Just got rid of the nuisance for you."

Taehyung nodded his head. "I want to thank you but.. why did you do that?"

Ji-Eun turned to look at him. "I want to talk to you, that's why." She said, staring at Taehyung in the eyes.

"I really want to have a word with you but Jungkook is always around." Ji-Eun uttered, darting her eyes on the ravenette who's still in line with the rest of the boys.

"It's the only time I could talk to you, so I got rid of her." Ji-Eun said as a matter of fact.

Taehyung furrowed his brows. "What do you want to talk about?" He asked, eyes staring at the ravenette who's still looking at their direction.

"A lot of things..." Ji-Eun looked at him in the eyes.

"I know the two of you are now together." Ji-Eun started, making Taehyung blush.

"Yeah." He scratched the back of his head, feeling embarrassed.

"I'm sorry." He stated, not really knowing what for.

Ji-Eun gazed at him even more. "I like Jungkook." She suddenly uttered, making Taehyung flinch.

"I really do like him." She looked at her hands and smiled.

"When he asked to date me, I was really the happiest." Ji-Eun turned to look at Taehyung.

"He's the perfect boyfriend." She added which made Taehyung gulp.

"But he's not for me." She looked at the brunet with a sad smile.

"Whenever we're together, his mind is somewhere else. I thought it's just in my imagination but when I saw him looking at you.. I instantly knew." Ji-Eun confessed.

"He's looking at you as if you're his everything." She laughed, thinking of it as a silly thing.

"And you know what? I fell for him even more because of that. Weird right?" She sighed, eyes landing on her hands.

"I thought 'God, I want Jungkook to look at me the way he looks at Taehyung'." She giggled, eyes turning crescents.

"But I'm not greedy and desperate. I know he won't look at me that way, so I just let him go." She stated as she smiled at Taehyung.

"Why are you telling me these things?" He asked in a confused tone.

Ji-Eun shrugged her shoulders. "Simple. I'm telling you this so that you'll stop being too indecisive."

"What do you mean?" Taehyung asked, almost a whisper.

"You're always holding back while Jungkook's giving his all." Ji-Eun said in a soft voice.

"Just like now. You can't even push away that woman on your own." Ji-Eun pointed out.

"You're loving him half-heartedly and it's pissing me off." She added, voice annoyed.

Taehyung felt like she's scolding him and her words hit him in the right places.

"This is a warning, Taehyung. If you're still going to be a pussy and keep on loving him half-heartedly, I won't hesitate to take him away from you." Ji-Eun stared at him with a serious face.

Taehyung couldn't tell why but he found himself laughing at her words. He doesn't feel threatened. It's more like she's wanting him to see what he's been missing all along.

"You think this is funny?" Ji-Eun raised her brow at him.

Taehyung nodded his head. "Sorry.. It's just that.. I think you're really amazing, Ji-Eun." He honestly said, making the woman stop.

"Thank you for this." He said as he looked at the ravenette from a distance.

"I'll make sure that won't happen." He said in a soft voice.

Ji-Eun smiled, seeing Taehyung look at Jungkook. She shakes her head and sighed, finally standing.

"You better keep your word." She said, before turning around and walking away with a smile, remembering the way Taehyung looks at Jungkook.

Jungkook and Taehyung have the same look on their faces when they stare at each other. It's too obvious, the kind of look that says they're in love.

Ji-Eun sighed once more.

"I feel so single."
