Chapter 10 Alone

A/N: Seriously with this spellcheck? Wtf.. I can't spell for shit, so sorry.

Kassidy opened her eyes to the sunlight and smiled and rolled over in the silk sheets.

"Good mor-" She stopped realizing he wasn't there. She sat up and looked around

"Will?" She called and stood from bed. She walked to the bathroom and opened the door. He wasn't in there. She frowned and then looked around. His things were missing. the only thing left of him was the tee shirt Kassidy was wearing. She looked at the folded piece of paper on the table and her heart broke. She knew it now. He was gone. He had left her Again. She walked around the room and picked up her clothes and put them on throwing his tee shirt in her back pack along with a couple bottles of liquor he had brought with him and left the room. She had to get the fuck out of there. She walked out of the hotel thinking it would make her feel better just to be outside but it didn't. Roni walked around the corner.

"There you are. I haven't seen you in a week I was starting to think you left."

"Why would I go anywhere?" Kassidy asked looking up at her. Roni sighed. She knew this look well. She knew Will had left again.

"Why don't you come to the bar? you hungry?" She asked. Kassidy shook her head.

"I..just want to be alone." She said.

"No. you and alone don't mix, not right now. Come on."

"No!" Kassidy yelled and walked away from her. Roni sighed and pulled out her cellphone dialing Rogers.

"Roni, everything okay?"

"No. Just a heads up.. I think the Heights is in for some trouble today."

"What makes you say that?"

"Well, Will left and hurricane Kassidy is on its way." She sighed. Rogers sighed.

"How bad is it?"

"This is different than the last times. I've never seen her this way."

"I'll keep an eye out. Thanks for the warning." Rogers said and hung up.

It wasn't long, before shop lifting reports started coming in at the station. Rogers was getting ready to go out and try to find Kassidy but Weaver stopped him.

"Let me handle this one." He said.

"Thats the third store thats called today. This isn't going to be solved with a lecture." Rogers said.

"Nor is it going to be solved with brute force and a holding cell. I know her. Let me handle it." Weaver said.

"Fine. But if it happens again, we do it my way." Rogers said.

"Fair enough." Weaver said and left.

Kassidy lurked around the station. Weaver had left, she assumed he was looking for her, but he wasn't going to find her. She was going to leave but she needed a car to do it, and She figured she'd kill two birds with one stone, Get back Rogers for locking her up, and get the hell out of town. She picked the lock on his car and opened the door sliding in the the drivers seat and went to work hot wiring the car.

Weaver returned later that afternoon.

"You find her?" Rogers asked. Roni had been calling him all day for updates he didn't have. Weaver shook his head.

"She's good at not being found when she doesn't want to be. You walk back from lunch?" He asked.

"I haven't taken lunch I've been answering bloody calls all day." Rogers said. "Why?"

"Damnit Kassidy.." Weaver sighed and walked around to the Security cameras. Rogers followed him while Weaver played back the tapes from the parking lot showing Kassidy breaking into Rogers Car, hot wiring it and driving off.

"She.. stole my car??" He sighed and ran his hands over his face. "Bloody hell! Can she even drive?"

"Aside from taking a police cruiser around the block on a joyride.. no not really." Weaver sighed. Rogers groaned, He wasn't just worried about the sake of his car, Kassidy could actually get seriously hurt.

"Do you have a way to track your car?" Weaver asked.

"Aye. Lets go." He said.

Kassidy sat under a bridge on the hood of Rogers car with a cigarette in one hand and a half empty bottle in the other. She didn't make it very far. in her rage she had clearly forgotten she really didn't know how to drive. It had started to sprinkle but she didn't care. She didn't even care about the flashing blue lights behind her, she knew they'd catch up with her eventually.

Rogers sighed thankful that neither the car or Kassidy had been damaged. Weaver went to get out of the car but Rogers stopped him.

"Let me." He said. Weaver looked at him Skeptically.

"I'm not going to scream at her. Just let me handle it." Rogers said as he got out of the car and walked over to Kassidy sitting down on the hood of his car with her. He looked down at the empty bottle on the ground and the half empty bottle in her hand.

"Did you start the drinking before or after you stole my car?" He asked.

"After." She mumbled and took a drag from her cigarette. "You here to arrest me detective?" She slurred.

"No, Kassidy. I'm not. I'm here to help." He said. "You scared the shit out of Roni, and Weaver, and even myself."

"Don't worry I didn't hurt your car." She said.

"I'm not worried about the Car." He said Kassidy raised the bottle to her mouth and Rogers took it from her and tossed it.

"I was drinking that!" She said.

"You've had enough." Rogers said. "Come on. Its starting to rain. We can go back to the station and just talk."

"Oh like we were going to talk last time when you arrested me?"  she said and hopped off the car and flicked her cigarette out of her hand and staggered away from him. He sighed and followed her.

"Kassidy. Just get in the car." He said as the rain came down harder She turned around

"Just piss off! Why the fuck do you even care? Why does anyone care?"

"Because people here care about you!" Kassidy scoffed and walked over and leaned her forehead against the concerte bridge kicking it lightly. Rogers walked over.

"Come on, its getting cold, and wet." He said.

"So go."

"I'm not leaving you." He said.

"Why not everyone else does!" She screamed and smashed her fist into the concrete.

"Hey hey!" He said and pulled her away She pulled away from him and hit the wall a couple more times Rogers noticing the blood on the concrete wrapped his arms around her holding her arms at her sides.

"Stop." he said. She fought against him trying to get away

"Just let me go. Just leave." She cried.

"Everyone does. Everyone... they say they care, they say they love me and they just leave me here all alone!" She sobbed and pulled against him but he was not letting go.

"I'm not going anywhere." Rogers said.

"Why?" Kassidy asked.

"I'm just not." He replied. "So deal with it." Kassidy leaned down and vomitted All over the place.

"Christ.." Rogers sighed. After she finished retching she went limp in his arms

"Kassidy?" He said and nudged her a little. She was out.

"Alright you drunkard come on." He sighed and carried her back to the police car and opened the door and laid her in the back.

"Take her to the station. I'll meet you there." Rogers told Weaver.

When Rogers arrived at the station Weaver was cleaning vomit off of the floor.

"Where is she?" He asked.

"In the lounge she passed out again." He sighed. Rogers walked into the lounge and looked at Kassidy passed out on the couch she had a black tee shirt held tightly in her hands against her chest.  He rolled her on her side in case she threw up again so she wouldn't choke and draped a blanket over her and sat down in a chair in the room watching over her until morning.
