Chapter 33
Chapter 33
Immense pain shot through Izuku's spine as All for One sent him flying through two unstable walls. He wheezed, his body tensing up and teeth grinding from the pain. He had to bring his arms up to cover his face as the walls came undone over him, trapping his body beneath the concrete. A piece of rod pierced his shoulder, making a groan escape his mouth.
"Such a foolish little thing you are," Hisashi mocked with a laugh. "You might have the element of surprise by your side, but you're still no match for me. All Might made such a horrible desicion by giving you such great power."
Izuki mustered up enough strength to push the big pieces of concrete, using his quirk to send them flying towards All for One. He pushed the pain to the back of his head, using the adrenaline to his advantage. All for One dodged easily, almost fighting off a yawn. He was expecting a little more excitement.
That didn't stop Izuku, though.
The greenette used blackwhip to grab broken pieces of rusty rods and attempt to stab the old man. His vision was becoming red, his movements fueled by anger. Blood pumped rapidly through his veins as his emotions took over, controlling his every move. Like a puppeteer would manipulate its puppets.
Izuku was losing control.
"Out of everyone, he chose you as his successor?" Hisashi growled, meeting Izuku halfway as the greenette sent a powerful punch his way. "Not only did you bring shame to your family, you also bring shame to All Might and every single one of its past users. Look at you!"
"Shut up!" Izuku screamed with an infuriated scowl. Blackwhip began lashing uncontrollably, sharp and aggressive. His body glowed with its authentic green aura, eyes turning completely white. All for One felt thrilled to see such change, more than happy to accept the challenge.
"So easily manipulated by your emotions! You can't even use your power to the fullest!"
Black and red sparks encircled All for One's arm as he extended it towards Izuku, charging up his power. Izuku moved with lightning speed, making it almost impossible for someone to keep track of him. Except for Hisashi.
Just when Izuku was about to hit him with a Detroit Smash, All for One dodged his kick, sending the powerful blast his way. Shocked, Izuku prepared for the impact, but a giant ice wall came between them, receiving the blow instead. The force of the contact between both quirks created a big explosion, sending a wind of dust and shards of ice everywhere. It knocked Izuku back, some of the ice shards cutting whatever exposed skin he had.
Todoroki! Izuku thought before his back collided with the solid ground, making his body roll a few times before stopping. He coughed a little, wincing as he got back to his feet. His mind didn't have time to process things as the second he tried to find his friend, a shout was heard from above them.
"DIE!!!"
Katsuki didn't hesitate on sending one of his most powerful blasts towards Hisashi, who just barely jumped out of the way. Contrary to Izuku, he knew how to channel his anger through his quirk and have control over it. It was part of his explosive personality, after all.
Upon seeing his boyfriend, Izuku's anger subdued in the slightest. His heart rate picked up and relief flooded his veins. His signal for help was received, thankfully.
"Good to see you again, Katsuki," All for One sneered sarcastically, dodging Katsuki's blasts. Todoroki quickly trapped Hisashi's legs in ice, deeming him unable to move momentarily. Izuku didn't have time to celebrate their arrival, springing into action as he and Katsuki sent a punch to All for One's face.
The ventilator he wore cracked due to the brute force, pieces of it falling and his head snapping backwards. His mocking aura turned murderous as his back hit the ground, breaking free from the ice. He could already feel the way his breathing changed. They had messed up his device.
Angry, Hisashi blasted Katsuki and Izuku away with force. Todoroki kept using his ice to try and block some of his movements, but it was almost to no use. Although it did slow Hisashi down, it wasn't all that effective. He needed another tactic.
"Your attempts are in vain," All for One seethed, fighting off both Izuku and Katsuki. "I can sense all of your movements with my infrared quirk."
Katsuki tried kicking him on the side, but Hisashi grabbed his leg and twisted it mid-air. The blond yelped, jumping away to avoid getting his leg broken. "You fucking asshole!"
"Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" All for One snorted, proceeding to punch Izuku on the side as he approached him at a fast speed. Izuku grunted but held onto Hisashi's arm, using blackwhip to ensnare it. The black and red sparks were back, and before he knew it, he had been blasted away from the old man.
Izuku would certainly not give up, though, as he skillfully landed on his feet and leaped towards him again. Katsuki had the same idea, jumping from Hisashi's other side as sparks ignited on his palms. Todoroki took that chance to encase All for One's legs again, but what he didn't expect was for the man to jump backwards. This made his ice trap Izuku instead, who received Katsuki's explosion full on.
Izuku yelped, shielding his face from the powerful quirk. Katsuki's eyes widened in fear, watching as Izuku fell and winced from the burns he received. "Izuku!"
He and Todoroki quickly rushed to the greenette's side, but All for One used one of his powerful blasts to send them flying backwards. It made dust and debris fly everywhere, coating the area in a misty fog. Todoroki coughed, his head pounding and feeling nauseous. The two boys had hit a wall of a different building, considering the poor factory had been demolished by them.
Katsuki was going in and out of consciousness with an annoying ringing in his ear. He fought through the fogginess of his brain and forced his eyes open. His head had hit the edge of a rock on the floor quite harshly. He could feel some blood oozing from the sore spot, bringing up a hand to poke it. The moment he did, he winced.
"Izuku?" He asked into the air, getting up onto his feet a little wobbly.
The fog had cleared up a bit as he rushed forward from where they had been knocked off. His breathing picked up as anxiety made itself present. His body felt sore and his muscles ached, but that didn't stop him from searching for Izuku.
"Give it up, Deku," he heard Hisashi say not too far ahead. "Your attempt to defeat me is a worthless dream. I was looking forward to this fight, but it turned out to be a disappointment."
Katsuki ran to where his voice came from, only to stop dead in his tracks. All for One held Izuku's limp body by his throat, Izuku holding onto his wrist weakly. His irises were visible once again, eyes wide as he gasped for air.
"Killing your mother was much more satisfactory than this shit," Hisashi growled. Those words made both teens tense up, blood running cold. Despite their weakened state, the fury of All for One's statement ignited a new fire within them.
So it was true...he killed her!
The hand that held Hisashi's wrist charged up 15% of One for All, Izuku's eyes narrowing into slits. Blackwhip lashed out of his fingertips, spiky ends stabbing Hisashi's forearm. His body glowed a bright green, using all the power he charged up on that one hand to crush Hisashi's wrist.
"I. Am going. To kill you," Izuku growled as All for One let go of him in surprise. In the blink of an eye, Izuku disappeared into thin air. Enraged, All for One tried using his infrared quirk to locate him, but each time he sensed his presence, it was gone within the second.
Having been so focused on Izuku, he didn't notice Katsuki charging up to him. The blond opened his palm right in front of Hisashi's face, not thinking twice about pulling out the safety pin out of one of his grenades. The intense explosion sent All for One flying backwards, a groan escaping his mouth.
Before his body hit the floor, Izuku appeared behind him with a Full Cowling, kicking him on the side and sending him flying in another direction. The rest of his ventilator broke off, causing him to cough as he crashed against a wall. Feeling Izuku charging up to him from the front, he lifted his arms to block the blow, but received it on his stomach instead.
The force of it made the wall behind him crack, but Izuku showed no mercy. He delivered punched after punch, ignoring the pain that shot through his bruised arms each time he did. The rage was blinding him, acting on its own. He didn't even measure the intensity of his kicks and punches, unconsciously using more power than his body could handle.
All for One managed to block most of his moves, but would often receive jabs or blasts on different parts of his body. The two moved at incredible speeds, neither holding back.
Katsuki watched astounded, wanting to interfere but at the same time holding back. Izuku was in his zone, and one wrong movement from his part could endanger him greatly. Todoroki stood to his side, watching the battle unfold right in front of them with wide eyes.
Hisashi used his Enhanced Air Cannon to successfully blast Izuku away from him. The greenette flew backwards, his body doing a couple flips before colliding with a metal pole a few feet away from them. Katsuki immediately went to his aid, using his explosions as boosters. "Izuku!"
"You're leaving me no choice," All for One seethed in a hoarse voice. He panted, holding his side and coughing continuously. The absence of his ventilator made it hard for him to breathe, but he fought through it. He reached into his waistband, pulling out a special item.
Todoroki sprung into action when he saw it, but Hisashi saw him from a mile away and blasted him away with excessive force. Even as Todoroki put an ice wall between them, the massive wind broke through it and sent him flying backwards. Hisashi huffed, watching how Katsuki kneeled beside a limp Izuku, shouting things at him.
"Oi! You fucking idiot!" Katsuki shouted worriedly. Izuku looked up at him with half lidded eyes, trying to focus on his voice. Everything around them was spinning, and it made him dizzy. His body hurt like a bitch and he could feel blood coating many parts of his torn out hero costume. He felt...defeated.
"It doesn't matter how hard you try, you will never win," Hisashi wheezed out angrily. Izuku managed to shift his gaze to where he stood, noticing how he extended his arm. Katsuki's voice was a blur in his mind, his sight clearing up to see what Hisashi was holding. And who it was pointed at.
Izuku's eyes widened as he recognized the gun. It was the one Overhaul used back when he had fought him along with Mirio and Nighteye to save Eri. The gun that held the quirk destructive bullets in it...the ones that deemed Mirio quirkless.
How did he get a hold of that?!
"I'm getting us out of here," Katsuki hissed, already wrapping his arms around Izuku's waist to lift him up. The greenette tried to push him, alarmed. He tried to speak, but all that came out were painful grunts. "Ignore him, Izuku! The pros should be here to deal with him. We. Have. To. Go."
"I wonder what would happen to poor little Katsuki," Hisashi mocked with a smirk, pulling the trigger. "When he gets a taste of this."
Everything happened in a blur—as if it happened too fast to process. But at the same time, it was like it all went in slow motion.
Green sparks flew in the air as Izuku used up the last of his strength to shove Katsuki out of the bullet's course. It pierced Izuku's flesh and latched itself deep on his right side. A piercing scream could be heard right before he lost consciousness, although nobody knew if it came from him or Katsuki.
Heartbreak. Tears. Desperation. Fear.
It all hung in the atmosphere as Katsuki caught Izuku's body before it reached the ground. There was a ringing in his ears as he shouted at his boyfriend, too hyperfixated on him to even notice All for One vanishing through a portal.
"IZUKU!!!" Katsuki desperately shook the unconscious boy that laid limply on his lap. "FUCK! WAKE UP!"
His breathing picked up, heartbeat reaching dangerous levels as he kept screaming the greenette's name. Hot tears ran down his face the more he realized that Izuku wasn't going to wake up. His throat hurt from all the screaming, holding Izuku close to his chest and refusing to let go.
Not even when more people arrived to the sorrowful scene. Red, white, and blue flashed in the air, sirens blaring loudly. But he couldn't hear it over the ringing in his ears and his own heartbeat. People shouted in his ear, shook him, even smacked his cheeks lightly, but nothing would get his attention.
Until the paramedics tried to take Izuku from him.
"Don't touch him!" Katsuki growled, baring his teeth at the hands that reached for the greenette. "Don't you fucking dare touch him, or I will incinerate you! Don't!"
"Bakugo!" Aizawa snapped, making Katsuki sneer at him. "He is still alive! He has a pulse, we can still save him! But you have. To. Let go!"
"FUCK YOU!" Katsuki yelled, fresh tears rolling down his cheeks. "This is all your fucking fault!!"
"Yelling at me won't save him!!" Aizawa shouted desperately. "He will die if you don't let someone tend to him now!"
Katsuki shook his head, refusing to let go. He couldn't. At least not until a sweet aroma filled his senses, a familiar pink mist floating in his direction. He glared over at the pro hero Midnight, right before he succumbed to her spell.
I can't...leave him.
