At the pool

Lisanna P.O.V

I was sitting down when suddenly, a lady in a cloke sat down beside me. "So you came." I said while staring at the big screen.

"Why wouldn't I? I wanted to see who Natsu chose."

Lucy P.O.V

As I looked at the pool, I started to panic.

I quickly walked over to Principle Makarov. "Principle Makarov!"

He turned towards me and smiled, "Lucy! Are you ready to win?"

"No! I thought you said it wouldn't be swimming!"

"I did? I'm sorry! I thought it was going to be track but the district decided on swimming."

"But-"

Would challengers for the 3rd challenge, report to the changing room to change into swim gear?

"That's your call. Go have some fun!"

As he walked away, I couldn't help but feel as if something bad was going to happen.

I walked over to changing rooms and changed.

"Lucy!" yelled Levy. I looked back and saw her and Natsu running up to me. "Levy...Natsu..."

"We came to wish you good luck!" She then elbowed Natsu. "Ye-yeah."

"Come on. Let me get a quick picture!"

Levy took out her phone and aimed it at me.

"Natsu! Get in there!" She commanded.

"L-Levy. Aren't you also-"

"No. I'm the photographer." She then winked at me.

"All right! Say cheese!"

She then took the picture. "Here, look." She showed it to us and I couldn't help but smile at the picture.

Would challengers please walk over to the pool?

"Well, good luck!" Levy yelled while patting my back.

They started to walk away but I yelled, "WAIT!"

"What's up?" Levy asked.

"Um...I can't swim..."

"HUH?!" They shouted in unison.

Miss Heartfilia, please report to the pool.

"See yeah."

Natsu P.O.V

I looked over at Levy. "Tell me she's joking."

"I-I don't know..."

"How can she not swim?"

"I don't know, but let's just hope she was making a joke..." Levy mumbled.

Lucy P.O.V

I stood in front of the pool, scared.

The rules of this challenge are simple. You must swim across the pool, back and forth, 3 times. The first person to complete the race is the winner.

I gulped and stared at the motionless water.

Everyone jumped in but me.

Looks like Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail, is starting late into this race.

The crowd started to boo. "What're you doing? Swim already!" I heard people shout.

I have to try.

I jumped in the water and touched the floor.

Hey. I can walk the 3 laps!

As I started to walk, the pool got deeper.

Natsu P.O.V

"What is she doing?" I asked while watching.

"I think she's trying to walk the laps!" Levy yelled.

Can she really not swim...?

I watched how she struggled to keep herself over the water. Suddenly, she started to panic. Her arms where waving around and she was trying her hardest to keep herself up.

"Lucy!" I yelled while running out of the tent.

Uh oh. It looks like challenger Lucy Heartfilia, is having some difficu-hey! What're you doing?!-- Listen up!

Suddenly, I heard Principle Makarov's voice on the speaker. That girl is drowning! She needs help!

I jumped into the pull and started to swim towards her.

Lucy P.O.V

I...I can't breathe. I'm losing strength...

"Lucy!"

Natsu? I think I hear Natsu's voice...

I felt arms wrap around me and begin to help swim me to shore. I then came back to reality and realized it was Natsu.

Natsu P.O.V

I started to move Lucy out of the water as fast as possible. Suddenly, my leg cramped up.

I pushed Lucy to the shallow water and I tried to swim, but I couldn't.

I can't let this beat me!

I started to struggle, but that made things worse. I started to lose my energy and I started to sink. Lower and lower. No one was coming to help. No one...

Before I closed my eyes, I saw a small glimpse of blonde hair.

Lisanna P.O.V

"Oh No! Natsu! Lucy!"

I got up, but she held me down. "Mira-nee, I have to help!"

"Look." She pointed at the screen. As I looked, I saw Lucy, trying to swim towards Natsu.

"That idiot! What is she doing! She can't swim!" I yelled. I tried to get down, but Mira held my hand. "Mira-nee, let go!"

"No."

"I need to do something!"

"Keep looking."

I looked back at the screen to see a miracle. Lucy saved Natsu.

The life guards started walking towards him but Lucy grew angry and protected him as she yelled, "DON'T TOUCH HIM!"

The whole stadium went silent.

"Lucy-san-"

"Shut up! You guys are all a bunch of idiots! You guy didn't even notice he was in trouble! You could have helped us but you didn't!" She yelled with tears flowing from her eyes.

"You were all so obsessed with winning, you didn't even save him. So don't touch him!"

Lucy...

"NATSU'S MINE! Keep your hands off him!"

Mirajane P.O.V

As I watch Lucy stay by Natsu's side, I knew it was meant to be.

I smiled and got up. "Sorry Lisanna, I can't help you anymore."

"Huh?"

"Can't you see? They were made for each other."

"You-"

"You might be my little sis, but I can't go around braking true love. I still can't believe I helped you!"

"You to, huh...?"

"See ya later, Lisanna." I said while walking away.

Lucy P.O.V

The winner of this year's School Games is...Sabertooth High! Congratulations.

I walked back to the tent and sat down next to Levy.

"That was pretty bold."

"Huh?"

"NATSU'S MINE!" she mimicked.

My face turned a dark shade of red. "Sh-shut up!"

"Lucy." I looked over to Principle Makarov. "I'm so sorry. If I knew you couldn't swim I-"

"It's fine. It's over already. No use in crying over spilled milk."

"How's Natsu?" He asked.

"He's resting, trying to get his tempter up." Levy said.

"Sorry...This happened all because of me. We lost, Natsu got hurt, and it's my entire fault."

"Who cares about losing the game? The most important thing is you guys are okay." He said with a smile.

"Thank you sir." I said while bowing my head.

He then walked out the tent and Natsu came in. "Natsu!" We yelled together.

He walked over to us and smiled, "Thanks Luce, for saving me."

"How'd you-"

"The life guards told me what happened."

My face turned red. "How much did they tell you?"

"Just that I drowned and you came to save me."

"Nothing else?"

"No. Why?"

"N-no reason..."

"Good Job team!" I heard Erza yell while walking in.

"Erza-san-"

"Just Erza."

She walked up to me and smiled. "That was bold."

My face turned red and I quickly got up. "NA-" I quickly covered her mouth. "Not here!" I whispered.

"Am I missing something?" Natsu asked confused.

"N-no!" I shouted.

I want to keep it a secret. A secret that Natsu can't know about. I don't want him to get embarrassed and start to avoid me.

I haven't been able to confess yet, but I will. For now, I just want to stay close to him. That's why I can't tell him this or that...
