Momo taught Ako about the world of heroes and learned that the people in this world have quirks which is similar to having special abilities in her world. Ako was excited nonetheless. Especially since she's meeting the heroes that she thinks are the same as the warriors in her world, completely oblivious of Momo's white lie.
Ako also met the Yaoyorozu heads, and they are nice people. They completely accepted Ako despite her proud personality, but that was only normal because she is a princess in her world. They understand that part — nevertheless, they liked Ako's polite personality and cute side of acting like a cat when she's bashful.
She's been staying in the Yaoyorozu residence for three months now, participating in Momo's training as well. Although Ako wouldn't admit it outloud, Momo's quirk is really useful, she even thought of bringing Momo to her home. But that would be selfish so she dropped that idea.
And in all of those training together, they have gotten closer than before, Ako even considered Momo as a friend which is a great honor in her world; but in this world 'friends' is a common relationship between humans, so she casually just said to Momo that she's her friend. Although she said it bashfully.
And the time for UA's entrance exam finally arrived, Yaoyorozu's parents agreed to letting her study in the hero school, however - Ako will take the exam and must walk to school. Ako was skeptical at first, because 'she is a princess!' but she agreed anyway. She is not in her world anymore, so learning how to live normally would be a new experience for Ako.
"Ako! Be careful on your way! Remember to check your map if ever you get lost, and call me if you are having trouble, okay?" Momo reminded the said cat-girl looking directly at her, sweatdropping at Momo's overly caring nature towards her. She repeatedly heard that same sentence this morning 'till now.
"I heard that loud and clear, Momo! No need to get worried!" Ako calmed Momo down before she slipped her feet in her shoes. Ako loved wearing sneakers ever since she discovered sport shoes.
Momo, not completely convinced tried to come with her but was stopped by her mom. "Momo, let her experience new things on her own, it will allow her to grow up diligently."
"B-But Mom! I'm worried for Ako!!"
"Maaa~ maaa~ Momo, I am afraid to say this but Ako already left the moment you teared your eyes away from her." From what her mom said, she looked at the empty space where Ako should be. She ran away.
....
Running away from the Yaoyorozu household, Ako had a grin on her face, her hand held a phone with the city's map in the screen, showing her current location and her destination.
She stopped when she's finally away from the household now. She exhaled and looked at the map.
"Let's see..."
Checking what she will do, she took off with a large grin on her face.
Arriving at the train station, she did everything Momo instructed onto her perfectly in order, and she managed to get to the waiting shed. She smiled to herself again and brought out the piece of paper that has the face of her friends, she missed them...
As she was about to put the picture in her pocket, it was sudden blown by a violent air from the upcoming train.
She tried to grab the picture but it completely got out of her range when the paper flew to the train. When the train stopped, her eyes followed the paper slid under the train.
Ako was about to cry, but reminded herself that she doesn't want to lose that memory - so she stubbornly reached her hands in that little space, hoping to grab the paper.
That piece of paper is important to her! She cannot lose it! She doesn't want to lose her memory.
Unbeknownst to her, a certain dual haired boy happened to witness her slid her arms under the train. He was surprised and stupefied. What kind of stupid girl would do that? What if the train suddenly move? Say goodbye to your arm then.
He knew that he shouldn't care about what would happen to a stranger, but his conscience is not letting him just watch the girl dig her grave.
He shook his head and walked towards the girl - whose arm is still under the train.
"Oi. I suggest you stop that or your arm would snap in two." His monotone voice nearly surprised the cat-girl, she hissed at him.
"Whether my arm would snap or not, I would not give up! I need to get my memory!" She glared at him and continued to dug her hand deeper; her face is expressing agony, but she endured it. No matter what, her picture of her friends is important to her.
"Do you want to die?"
"Why do you care!? My life has got nothing to do with you!"
Todoroki got irritated by the girl's answer. He was doing her a favor and save her dumbass, yet this girl chose to harm herself furthermore?
As he stared at Ako's enduring pain, he had enough. She's just a stranger, but this stranger is getting on his nerve. He grabbed her arm and forcefully pulled her out, earning a gasp of surprise from her. Just as she was about to shout and slap him, the train suddenly moved.
Leaving the stunned Ako and Todoroki.
"No!" She teared herself away from the dual haired boy and kneeled at the platform, still searching for the paper. Her eyes frantically looking around, heart throbbing in a fast rate.
"Please. Please."
Ten minutes have passed, but she still couldn't find the picture; and at that moment she snapped, turning around to look at the stoic guy behind her who had a permanent glare on his face, fueled her anger even more.
She stood up and stomped her way to the said guy.
She pointed at his face, "YOU! It's your fault! It's because of you I couldn't save that last piece of memory!" She cried out, she wanted to cry so bad - but she chose not to in front of this guy, she refuse to let her tears fall in front of the guy that stopped her from saving the only remainder of her existence in her world, and the memories of her friend.
Todoroki couldn't understand what she was saying, but he felt her pain when she cried out to him. Her tears were begging for release, but he can see that she's holding herself.
"What was it that you're trying to save?" He simply asked, disregarding her blame.
Ako sharply inhaled and avoided his gaze, she's starting to get emotiona; she couldn't think right at the moment.
"It's a picture..." She said in almost a whisper, fortunately, Todoroki heard it loud and clear.
"I see. I'll search for it." At what he said, Ako looked at him in surprise. She gaped, not knowing if she should answer him in gratitude or just plainly refuse his offer of help.
Todoroki couldn't understand himself; when he heard that it's a picture, and how she reacted violently when he stopped her he concluded that it is very important to her. Perhaps, she lost her family and that picture is related to her family that she lost.
He's not partially wrong though.
Ako being a proud princess, has decided to refuse him.
"I don't need your pity nor your sympathy just to help me. I believe I am capable enough to search for it alone. Besides, I refuse to acknowledge your help."
What she said surprised him, he had thought that she will accept his help because she lost something important. But Ako is a princess, she's used to doing things by herself. She is very closed-off, 'till her friends came and broke her out of her shell. But things are a little different right now, this guy is a stranger to her. Someone that earned an unfavorable impression on her.
She treasured them very dearly. So, earning a help from someone that tried to stop her will be a great disgrace for the love of her friends.
"With my help, you could find that picture faster than searching for it by yourself." He said, oh boy - he hated that line of 'acknowledge.' But when he heard it coming out of Ako's mouth, it brought a stung in his heart. He couldn't understand that feeling. So, he tried to reason out.
"I very much know that well. However, it would be such disgrace for my love for them to receive help from someone that stopped me. That, I feel like I don't deserve them if I were to accept it."
She calmly stated her words to the boy. Not knowing that her words reached the boy's subconscious. Just as he was about to ask for her name, the train meant for Ako's departure came.
Without sparing a glance towards the dual haired boy, she ran towards the train. Her mind still wandering off to the picture that she lost. She nibbled her lip and tried not to let out a sound of her sobs.
She stopped herself from crying and decided to temporary forget about the picture, she still had to find clues for her return. Her friends are waiting for her, she cannot let herself down. She needs to look up.
Ako dropped off from the train and wandered her eyes around the city in awe, no matter how much she stare at the incredible constructions, it still fascinated her. It is completely different from the architectures in her world, it's an unfamiliar scenery but it still made her smile. She felt free.
She didn't waste her time and started running towards the location of the UA with a grin. She spotted so many different things in this universe, compared to her world - there's so many new things that she didn't know about, and she wanted to learn all of it. Her thirst for knowledge suddenly grew a million times when she discovered a lot of different things; the culture, the technology, the education system, new found medicines and scientific information. She wanted it all.
Just as she was near her location, a villain attack occurred.
"Please! Don't harm my daughter!" Ako heard a woman's voice in despair, it held such unease and fear. Ako snapped her head towards the said location. There, she saw a shark guy and a little girl being carried like a bag of sack on his shoulder.
"Where are the heroes?!"
"Please don't kill my daughter!"
"Someone! Call the police!"
Everyone crowding the area were in a frantic state.
Ako's eyebrows furrowed, "Harming a little girl thrice smaller than you!? Such a pathetic dude!" Ako had never seen a grown up man try and harm a little girl in their Kingdom because children in her world were treated like treasures. So, this scene made her fume in anger.
She didn't hesitate and ran towards the scene and leaped towards the top of the building where the shark guy is. Her cyan eyes turned slit before sweeping the girl out of the man's grasp, kicking the his face hard and fast afterwards.
The impact of her kick caused the wind to swarm around her, and it inflicted a crack in the sharkman's skull before he fell together with Ako.
"O-Onee-chan!" The little girl's bright eyes were in tears and in fear, Ako smiled at the girl softly while they were falling.
"You're safe now!" She reassured the little girl. Ako softly landed on the floor while the sharkman fell right onto the tree before he slid and fell on the floor. Ako smirked at the man.
Ako let the little girl down, "Onee-chan! You're so cool!" she exclaimed cutely, her mother came to take her child in her embrace, looking at Ako in gratefulness. "Thank you so much for saving my daughter!"
Ako only nodded while smiling, however, her smile vashined when she was suddenly covered in unbelievably strong bandage.
"WHA —!? What the heck is this!?" She struggled her way out of the cloth but to no avail, "Using your quirk without a hero license is considered a crime, you're basically breaking the law." A gruff tired voice of a man came from behind. And there she saw a guy with large eyebag and long black hair scattered on his face to his back, Ako almost mistook him for a demon that she knows.
"What are you saying? I didn't break any law, I didn't use a quirk!" Ako shouted, her nails getting longer and her cyan eyes turning slit trying to cut the cloth.
The situation turned very annoying right now, she only used her normal physical ability and didn't use her special ability which is considered a quirk in this world!
"You expect me to believe that lie?" He said and looked towards a newly arrived guy, "Tsukauchi,"
"No human can jump that high with just normal physical ability, you obviously used your quirk."
"Such insolence! I am telling the truth! You dare accuse me of lying?! I tell you, I did not use an ounce of my quirk!" She retorded.
For the two grown up men, she sounded spoiled and unreasonably prideful. But the two were surprised when Tsukauchi's lie detector didn't go off at Ako's aggressive claim.
