Emilia

"Emilia, wake up!" Stefan says, shaking my shoulder as I squirm on a metallic floor. "If you don't wake up, Klaus's going to kill Elena." He hisses and my eyes finally snap open.

I go to sit up but an ultimate groan escapes me at the pain on my stomach. "What is that?" I ask, horrified as I look at the crowbar in my stomach.

"That's something to keep you unconscious." Stefan replies before he wraps his hands around it. I hold my breath as he pulls it and I finally breath out, the wound starting to heal.

"Now, going two hours back. Tell me what happened." I say, standing up as I stretch my back.

"Rebekah somehow found out that I'm hiding something, which is the fact that Elena is alive. She told Klaus and so he took us here in Mystic Falls." Stefan answers, sighing.

"Gosh, do you have a soft spot for everyone?" I ask loudly, looking around the empty street.

"Save your words, Klaus probably killed thousands by now." Stefan says before he grabs my hand and pulls me to the school's back door.

"You know I can walk on my own, right?" I ask, looking down at our hands.

"Yeah, but...." Stefan pauses, stopping as he turns to look at me.

"But what?"

"Never mind." He whispers, gulping. His eyes roam my face for a little too long and I open my mouth to mutter a sarcastic remark, but he beats me to it. "Let's go." He says, clearing his throat before he continues pulling me down the hall.

"They're in the gym, I can hear them." I point out and Stefan nods. We turn a corner and Stefan pushes the red gym doors as we step in the hot atmosphere.

Both heads turn to look at us and Elena smiles. Her eyes look between the two of us before she frowns, her eyes looking down at our entwined hands. I immediately clear my throat and pull my hand from Stefan's, stepping away from him.

"Stefan...Emilia." Elena breathes, her eyes roaming between us both.

"Come to save your damsel, mate?" Klaus asks, looking at Stefan before his eyes move to me. "Princess, forgive me for hurting you." He says, sincereness in his eyes.

"Klaus, I came to ask for your forgiveness. And pledge my loyalty." Stefan spoke up, gaining Klaus's attention.

"Well, you broke that pledge once already." Klaus replies, crossing his arms.

"Elena means nothing to me anymore. And whatever you ask of me...I will do." Stefan says, unsureness etching his face. I scoff, glaring at Stefan as pain appears on my sister's face.

"Fair enough. Let's drink on it." Klaus smiles, pointing at a girl and boy. "Kill them." Stefan looks hesitant. "What are you waiting for? Kill them."

"No! Stefan, don't. He's not going to hurt me. He already said-" Elena gets cut off by Klaus smacking her so hard that she falls on the floor.

My veins start pounding in anger and I growl, rushing to Klaus just as Stefan did the same. Klaus pushes me away from him and I roll on the floor, and he grabs Stefan by the throat.

"She means nothing to you? Your lies just keep piling up." Klaus spats as I crawl to Elena who holds her cheek in pain.

"Elena." I whisper, sitting in front of her as I check her face.

"Emilia." She breathes, pulling me in for an embrace. "I miss you." She whispers, tightening her arms around me.

"You will do exactly as I say when I say it. You will not run, you will not hide, you will simply just obey." Klaus compels Stefan who doesn't move.

"No. Stefan." Elena whispers, tears brimming her eyes.

"Now kill them, Ripper." Klaus orders, pointing to the girl and boy. Stefan starts turning as veins appear under his eyes, while his eyes turn bloodshot. He sneers before he rush over to the girl, killing her by drinking her blood.

Elena gasps and I shake my head, glaring at Klaus. "What's your purpose of doing all of this?" I ask loudly, standing up before I walk to stand in front of Klaus.

"It's always nice to see a vampire in his true element, Princess. The species has become such a broody lot." Klaus replies, smirking.

"No. You did this to him." Elena says from her sitting position as she glares at him.

"I invited him to the party, love. He's the one dancing on the table." Klaus says, laughing humorlessly.

"Is this your definition of pleasure?" I ask, "Turning the ones who love each other against one another? Breaking the boy and torturing the girl? You're so brooding it hurts to watch you like this. Perhaps it's you that is broken and that's why you're doing all this nonsense." I take deep breaths as I take a step closer to him, "If you're broken, it doesn't mean that others have to be broken too."

"You've mistaken my purpose, Princess." Klaus begins, "I came to Mystic Falls to break the curse and to own you-"

"Own me? What am I? Some rag doll?"

"I've been watching you for years. I came here to make you one of my own-"

"Why me?" I yell, throwing my arms in the air as exaggeration.

"Because you're strong, you're confident, you're powerful. I mean look at you now, you're yelling at original knowing that I could snap your neck before anyone in this room could blink." Klaus whispers, "You've got this anger and classy way of ripping hearts out, always ending it with a sarcastic remarks. For a starters, Princess, you're perfect at what you're doing."

I watch in astonishment as Klaus steps closer and places his hands on my shoulders. "You've got all the features I need for my number one hybrid." He whispers, his eyes roaming my face.

Before I get to say anything, a furious Rebekah marches in and rushes towards Elena. "Where is it?! Where's my necklace?" Rebekah yells as Elena stands up slowly.

"What are you talking about?" Klaus asks, walking towards his sister.

"She has my necklace. Look." Rebekah answers, handing him Caroline's phone.

"Well, well. More lies." Klaus says, looking at Stefan who wipes the blood on his mouth by the back of his hand.

"Where...is it?" Rebekah yells, sneering at my sister.

"I don't have it anymore." Elena answers loudly as I stand next to her.

"You're lying!" Rebekah yells before she vamps out and bites Elena's neck. I gasp and push Rebekah away from my sister before Klaus takes Rebekah and takes her aside.

"Knock it off!" Klaus yells at his sister as Elena falls to the floor, covering her neck in pain.

"Make her tell me where it is, Nik!" Rebekah screams at her brother.

Klaus sighs and looks at Elena, walking to her but I stand in front him. "Don't you think you've hurt her enough?" I bark, glaring at him.

"I just wanna know where the necklace is." He replies, walking pat him before he kneels in front of my sister.

"Where's the necklace, sweetheart? Be honest." Klaus asks, his voice soft and calm which causes me to scoff and roll my eyes.

"I'm telling the truth. Katherine stole it." Elena replies and my eyes widen, a gasp escaping my lips.

Klaus sighs, "Katerina. Of course." He stands up. "Well, that's unfortunate. If we had the necklace it would make things a whole lot easier for your witch, but since we're doing this the hard way, let's put a clock on it, shall we?" He walks towards the button and pushes it as the buzzer sound for the clock booms in the empty gym.

Klaus walks towards Stefan and compels him, "Twenty minutes. If Bonnie hasn't found a solution by then, I want you to feed again. Only this time, I want you to feed on Elena. You know you want to."

"Klaus, don't do this!" I whisper, looking at him hopefully.

"Sorry, Princess." He whispers towards me before he turns to Stefan, "If she tries to save her sister, feed on Elena to death." Klaus compels, pointing his finger at me. "And if anyone leaves, fracture their spine." Klaus orders loudly before he leaves the gym with Rebekah.

I run my hand down my face, looking between Elena and Stefan. Stefan who has his back turned to us while his fists clench and unclench. Elena who sits on the floor with her head in her knees, deep in thought.

"Why were you both holding hands?" Elena asks, taking over the silence of the room. The question had both Stefan and I caught of guard as we turned to look at Elena who pulls her head from between her knees.

"Elena-"

"What? It was just a question." Elena cuts me off, gulping.

"Can we not talk about this now?" I ask, sitting on a wooden table. I cross my legs and place my elbows on my knees, placing my chin on my hands.

"We have 20 minutes, Emilia, we're bot going to spend it in silence." Elena replies, "Why were you two holding hands?"

"Can't we hold hands?" Stefan asks, turning to look at Elena.

"It's not a crime too, but you two looked....almost satisfied with it." Elena says, standing up.

"Let's just stop talking about this." I begged, sighing.

"Why not?" Stefan asks, looking at me. "You don't like talking about he obvious? You just like to deny it?"

"Shut up, Stefan, you're blood unstable." I mutter, rolling my eyes.

"There you go again. Ignoring it." Stefan laughs, throwing his arms in the air.

"Ignoring what exactly?" I ask loudly, groaning.

"The problem here. You can't face it. You think you kind solve it by ignoring it like it's not there, and that's just dumb." Stefan answers causing me to roll my eyes.

"And may I know what this problem is?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

"You're ignoring the fact that you and I keep having these little moments for no reason. Elena is asking about it yet you deny to talk about it." Stefan replies, chuckling humorlessly.

"You wanna fight me, Salvatore?" I ask, jumping off of the table.

"Emilia-"

"You have the nerve to talk to me like that. How bold of you." I chuckle, walking towards him.

"Emilia, don't!" Elena says from behind me but I ignore her as I continue walking towards a Stefan.

"What are you going to do, Gilbert?" Stefan asks, crossing his arms.

I stop in my tracks, shaking my head. "I'm not going to do anything, Stefan."

"See what I-"

"Because you said I should've faced my problems." I begin, "So here I am Stefan, I'm facing my problem." I say only inches away from him.

"I'm your problem?"

"Ding ding ding we have a winner, but there is no prize." I say sarcastically, chuckling humorlessly.

"How am I your problem? Enlighten me." Stefan says, opening his arms.

"If it weren't for you making that deal with Klaus, none of this would have happened." I reply, crossing my arms.

"Oh, so it's my fault for trying to save my brother? So you get to save Elena but I don't get to save Damon?" He asks loudly.

"That's not-"

"I would do anything to save Damon, to have his back. I don't care for all the bad things he's done, because in the end he's still my brother." Stefan whispers, sighing.

I nod, "What I meant was every action you make, there are consequences. And these consequences don't just affect you, but they affect everyone around you."

Moments later, six minutes laid on the clock as it ticked in the silent gym. Stefan is pacing the room anxiously. I'm laying down on the floor, looking up at the ceiling. Elena pacing as well, expect her eyes are on Stefan.

Our previous argument was unfinished but also left in the dark for some other time when Stefan is not minutes away from killing my sister, literally.

"Caroline's dad! Stefan, he was able to resist compulsion. I don't know how, but he did it. Maybe it's possible." Elena says, hope in her voice.

"Wait, Bill's back?" I ask, "Did his gay husband come too or did they get a divorce. I mean, I wouldn't blame the guy if he divorced Bill." I mutter, mostly to myself since the other two are ignoring me.

"Yeah, yeah. Maybe it's just mind control, right? Maybe it just takes some focus, a couple decades of training. No big deal." Stefan says sarcastically.

"Stefan, you can control this. When that buzzer goes off, just...just drink from me." Elena replies, hope in her voice.

"You don't get it!" Stefan barks, "I can't stop, Elena! I'm a ripper! A ripper doesn't stop! I listen to the words that come out of your mouth, and all I hear is the sound of your heart pumping blood through your body. And when that clock ticks down...I'm going to have to feed on you. And you want to know what's worse? I'm not going to be able to stop."

"I don't believe that. You can fight it. You just have to want it bad enough." Elena begs.

"Why, because I love you?" Stefan asks loudly.

"Yeah! That's right, Stefan. Because you love me. You'll fight because after everything that we've been through, you owe me that!" Elena replies loudly.

"You know what, you're right. You're right. I owe you everything. Because through all of this, you are the one thing that has kept me from giving up; from turning it all off. But I can't help what I am, Elena. The more blood that I get, the more I want, and if I get so much as near yours...you are dead." Stefan taunts.

♡ ♡ ♡

"Elena, run! I'll hold him off." I yell, shooing my sister away. I turn to look at the gym doors just as Stefan bursts out of them. "Stefan." O whisper, getting ready to protect myself.

"Emilia, go! I don't want to hurt you." Stefan says, groaning as he speeds forward but he keeps slamming himself against the wall to hold himself.

"I don't care, Stefan, I'll do anything to stop you from hurting my sister." I reply just as he knocks onto to me, sending me to the floor with him on top of me.

I push him off of me and jump to my feet just as he speeds and slams me against the lockers. I groan and punch him before he grabs me by the waist and throws me towards the cafeteria's double door.

I roll onto the floor of the cafeteria while groans of pain escape me. Stefan bursts through the doors with a deadly look on his face. I growl, flaring my fangs and my blue eyes at him.

Stefan speeds towards me but I grab him by his throat, head-butting him, before I slam his back down on a table. I hover over him, my fangs inches away from his neck.

"Don't make me do something I'll regret, Stefan." I whisper, my sharp fangs grazing against his throbbing vein.

"Don't make me hurt you, Emilia." Stefan whispers, groaning before he pushes me off of him. He grabs a broom and breaks it before he stabs himself in the stomach with it.

"Stefan." I whisper, walking towards him because of this urge in me to take the stake out. Seeing him in pain is playing tricks with me.

"Stay away." He whispers, "Please." He groans as he tries to fight the urge to rip me to shreds. "I'm begging for your life, Emilia. Stay away from me." He whispers, stepping away from me.

The double door click open and I turn to look just as Klaus enters with my sister dragged beside him. "Now this is fascinating. I've never seen this before. The only thing stronger than your craving for blood is your love for this one girl...and perhaps her sister too." Klaus whispers, amused as he looks between me and Stefan.

"Why don't you turn it off?" Klaus asks, letting go of Elena as he walks towards Stefan.

"No!" Stefan yells, getting angrier by the second.

Klaus chuckles as he sits on a table, "Come on. Your humanity is killing you. All the guilt must be exhausting. Turn it off."

"No!"

"Stefan..." Elena whispers, sadness painting her expression.

"You're strong." Klaus says, pulling the stake out of Stefan's body. "But you're not that strong." He whispers, "Turn. It. Off."

Stefan pauses as his eyes roam Klaus's face. His eyes darting to me for a moment before he turns to look at Klaus. "No!" He yells, pushing Klaus away before Klaus pushes him against the wall.

"Turn it off!" Klaus shouts loudly, compelling Stefan causing both Elena and I to jump. Stefan's expression changes from anger and pain to cold and brood.

"What did you do?" Elena asks, whispering.

"I fixed him." Klaus whispers, turning to look at us. "But I think a test is in order, don't you?" Klaus asks before he walks behind Elena.

"Ripper...Perhaps you'd like a drink.. from the doppelgänger's neck?" Klaus asks and I growl, pushing Klaus away from my sister.

Stefan's face changes and I speed to stop him but Klaus grabs me and pulled me back. "Don't." He warns and I snarl, slapping his cheek.

Klaus growls and slams me against the wall, caging me as I fight against him. I watch as Stefan rushes to Elena and she screams as he starts feeding on her.

"No!" I screech as I couldn't help the tears and they started streaming down my face. I turn to look at Klaus who has a look of pity on his face. "I hate you." I whisper, our faces an inch away.

"I'm sorry."

"I fucking hate you." I whisper, a sob bubbling out of me. "Please don't kill her." I whisper, pushing my body against his to push him away. "Please let me help her." I sob, "She's the only family I have."

Klaus's eyes roam my face as his eyes hold a hint of sadness and pity. He then surprisingly steps back, letting me go. I instantly rush to Elena, pushing Stefan off of her as her unconscious body falls in my arms.

"Princess," Klaus whispers, kneeling beside me. "We have some unfinished business. Stefan will take Elena to the hospital. She needs rest."

"I'm not letting my sister anywhere near that monster." I bark, glaring at Stefan who just chuckles coldly. "Oh, I forgot. He doesn't care. Because you broke him." I turned to glare at Klaus.

"She'll die here, Princess, let her rest in the hospital. I promise you that Stefan won't do anything to her." Klaus whispers.

Later after a few promises and glares along with some threats, Klaus drags me to where Tyler is. Apparently, he had fed Tyler his blood and snapped his neck. Now, he's going to feed him Elena's blood to complete his transition.

♡ ♡ ♡

"Great, now you have your first successful hybrid. So what do you need me for?" I ask, crossing my arms.

"I told you. I don't care if you're the first, second, or last hybrid I turn. Because you'll always be the number one, the most trusted one, almost like my wing man." Klaus replies, leaning against a car.

"Yeah, but you forgot Klaus. I'm not a man." I reply, my eyes roaming the hospital's parking lot.

"I didn't forget, Princess."

I chuckle, "Of course, it's the nickname that reminds you that I'm a female."

Klaus chuckles and stares up at the sky while my feet shift on the pavement. "So, what are we waiting for?" I ask, clearing my throat.

"Rebekah went to get the truck. All we need is to get Elena and Stefan before we leave." Klaus answers.

"And why do we need my sister?" I ask, my jaw clenching.

"Because you need company, right?" He asks, crossing his arms.

"Why do we need my sister?" I ask seriously, dodging his joke.

"In order for me to make more hybrids, I need Elena." Klaus answers, "I mean you guys could've done the easy way which was from the beginning. Me biting werewolves with Elena's blood in my system. But since the curse didn't work, we need to feed everyone Elena's blood."

"Yeah, because you're lonely." I say, scoffing.

Klaus opens his mouth to reply but a smirk appears on his face just as a familiar raven boy appears behind him. "Well, look who finally decided to show up to the party." Klaus muses as I lean off of the car.

"Where is she?" Damon asks, referring to Elena.

"Elena? Ah, she's making a donation to a greater cause." Klaus replies before Damon walks towards the hospital but Klaus stops him.

"I'm afraid I can't let you interfere, mate."

"You'll have to kill me."

"Can I kill you?" I ask, raising my hand like I volunteered.

"Of course, Princess." Klaus smiles at me, "But I made a pledge to your brother, and unlike him, I keep my word. Although, you know what, thinking about it now, he probably doesn't care that much anymore." Klaus shrugs before he pushes Damon against the hood of a car as he chokes him.

"Don't you want to know about your friend Mikael?" Damon asks, breathing heavily.

"What do you know about Mikael?" Klaus taunts, glaring at Damon.

"Just that he knows you're here."

"You're bluffing."

"Katherine and I found him. Consider it our leverage." Damon says, smirking before Klaus throws him against another car before he disappears.

Damon gets up from the ground with a groan. "You and Katherine, huh?" I ask, crossing my arms.

"Jealous I stole your partner?" He asks, turning to me with a smirk.

"No, just jealous that she gets to kill you." I mutter, clenching my jaw.

"Don't worry, babe, I'll keep my heart for you." Damon replies, winking.

"Awe," I fake awe, placing my hand on my heart as if touched. "You'll give it to me? Like you will literally commit suicide just to give me your heart."

Damon's face falls and he shakes his head. "No one could ever have a serious conversation with you."

"You go it." I reply, winking as I lean back against the car.

"Even through everything you've been through, you still got that personality of yours." Damon says, a smile on his face.

"Funny," I scoff, "Last time you said that I wouldn't come back the same. That I'd be turned into a monster by the almighty Klaus."

"I guess I was wrong." Damon whispers, "You're still the same Emilia. Same funny personality, same sarcastic remarks, the jokes that aren't funny yet they make me laugh, the way you act badass and cold and bitter, the way you act scary and deadly."

My body stops functioning when Damon steps closer to me. "Just by looking in your eyes, I know that it's still you." He whispers, his eyes roaming my face.

"H-How?"

"Because I still fall for you everyday." Damon whispers, placing his hand gently on my face. "You stole my heart, Lia, but I'll let you keep it just because I know it's safe with you."

A smile breaks onto my face as happy tears brim my eyes while I look up at his mesmerizing blue eyes. "Say something funny." He whisper, his thumb brushing against my lips.

"I didn't know you read cliche quotes from the internet." I whisper earning a heartfelt laugh from Damon, making his dimple appear.

"Don't you have a cliche quote?"

I laugh, shaking my head as my eyes roam his smile. I whisper, "Y'know Damon, I didn't want to fall in love, not at all. But you smiled, and, holy shit, I blew it."
