It had only been a week for Adrien to continue sulking since he was afraid to come out of the mansion to hear Paris call him the Son of the Monster.

"Get up! Are you gonna keep sulking forever just because you're a scaredy cat to Paris calling you Son of the Monster?" Plagg complained to his owner to stop being so hard on himself.

"Yes," Adrien said with no care at all.

"Get up, man. Where is my fun little kitten that enjoys cat puns?!" Plagg yelled.

"That kitten boy is dead. Just like his parents are dead too" Adrien covers himself in the covers to be alone.

Felix came in with a few of his cousin's friends to cheer him up, "Cuz, I know you're awake. Get up"

Plagg goes and goes behind the cupboard.

Adrien sighed and sat up, "Oh, hey," He said lowly.

"Dude, you look like a wreck. It's been a month since you know what. I thought you would let the storm pass by" Nino said.

He wasn't kidding, Adrien's hair was very messy, and dark circles under his eyes were like he barely ever had any good sleep for a week.

"Everyone out there is still calling me "The Son of Monarch" 24/7 and I'm tired of it. I'm nothing like my dead father. I can't go out in public again until Paris forgets about Monarch" Adrien said tiredly before trying to get up but collapsed due to fatigue.

"Whoa, easy Adrien. We gotta get you downstairs" Marinette helps him up.

"Dude, you look skinny. When was the last time you ate?" Alya asked.

"4 days ago," Felix said.

"My god!" Marinette gasped in horror.

"What's the difference, love? I was always on a strict diet" Adrien said.

"You haven't eaten in four days?" Marinette replied to her boyfriend.

"You need to eat, dude. Anorexic is dangerous" Nino said.

"You're right" Adrien then yawned again.

"You need sunlight, man. You look paler than normal" Luka said.

"Jeez, thanks. I barely have any curtains on my gigantic window" Adrien rolled his eyes.

"Enough sulking, more makeover session to get you healthy" Alya pushed him out of his room.

"We did give you space for a week but I shouldn't let you sulk forever" Marinette glared at him for being careless with himself to almost die of starvation.

"Sorry guys" Adrien cringed seeing her glare.

Once Adrien had his breakfast, he felt much better. Of course, his stomach was nearly eating him out of starvation for days due to his sulking behavior.

"Come on Adrien, I miss your smile" Marinette begged.

"And I miss you guys too. Until my negativity got the best of me" Adrien while eating a little bit.

"Welcome to my world" Felix sighs.

"Life is not fair, isn't it?" Marinette said and drank some juice.

"Technically we twin cousins have something in common. Inhuman fathers. Unlike my twin, I never cause trouble" Adrien said his facts of opposites.

"It was a way to fight all the trauma I had to go through" Felix protested.

"I know. But it's a long way" Adrien said.

"Hmph," Felix said.

"Dude, I get it. You're accepting the fact that your biological parents are in a better place but that doesn't mean you'll be an orphan forever. You're not alone. There are thousands of kids with no parents but raised well, even if their guardians are not their real parents" Nino said.

"Finding a new melody doesn't have to come from a bloodline. Friendship is also like family than biological" Luka said.

"You're right, Luka" Adrien looks up.

"Take Felix for example, he looks identical to you. You and him pretending to be each other, it's not easy to tell who is who. Thousands of twin siblings look...well....identical. I have twin sisters" Alya said.

"Technically we are still cousins, not twin brothers" Felix corrected her.

"Same difference when being related," Alya said.

"Adrien, life can be tough but life is never perfect for everyone. There's nothing in the universe to try to be perfect when the world we live in is never perfect" Marinette said.

"I understand, it's hard to process that you have a greedy, unhinged obsessed man as your father" Adrien gives his description of Monarch's insanity.

"That's another problem with greed. Greed is like wanting everything to satisfy your desire which will never be satisfied but destroys something else" Nino said.

"Of course" Adrien replied.

"And the world always fights for freedom. Like bending the rules, going against it, and sometimes getting into trouble. Following the old traditions of a family doesn't mean you have to follow theirs; traditions can change over time. Some traditions can have rules from ancient times that tear everyone apart. Like women were never allowed in wars, men were not allowed to be in dresses, a true lady never fights, underage minors are not allowed to drive a car, everything doesn't always mean to be rules" Marinette explained the examples of traditions that don't always show bringing anything together but to keep everyone apart.

Adrien smiled and held her hands, "Marinette, I'm so happy you came into my life. You and everyone else changed my views on things and opened up my eyes that not everyone can change"

"Go on my sweet prince," Marinette said sweetly.

"And seeing my father's true colors I realized that you all are my true family" Adrien continued.

"And?" Nino wants to hear how hard he tried to get his 'bro' to stand up for himself.

"I shouldn't have been obedient to my father when all he does is pull my strings a lot. Especially how selfish it was for me to leave you guys in New York" Adrien said.

"That's the Adrien I know" Nino smiled at him.

If only they knew he's a half-human hybrid but could not tell them that or they would think he's crazy. Just like how they don't believe facts like Lila's lies for example when they fall for it. Only Kagami, Felix, Amelie, Ladybug, and Marinette knew.

"But to inform you guys, if anyone should be seen as a monster it's my late father and not me. People shouldn't judge me because he's my flesh and blood. Especially Lila who happens to be Cerise. I looked into my father's secret files and found out that she's....my half-sister. 3 years older than me before my father abandoned her and she ended up in adoption. That's why I was sulking for a week because of the dark truth" Adrien said, letting out his frustration that he has a half-sibling who happens to be much worse than his father" Adrien said, drinking a glass of milk to get his strength back from having his body skinny.

"She is WHAT?!" They all gasped in shock.

"Yes, my father abandoned her before he met my mother. Cerise and my father are very much alike when it comes to lying. I didn't want to believe it but the files that he kept hidden for years, it was true. Thank god I'm not anything like him. He was right about one thing. I am very much like my mother but he was very wrong about the world and the people" Adrien said before trying to eat more so he doesn't feel his ribs poking through his skin.

"We'll always be at your side," Marinette said.

"Dude, you can't let the past stop you from what you are. To us, you're a man with kindness" Nino said.

"And ask yourself. Who raised you to be kind and generous?" Alya asked.

"My late mother" Adrien answered.

"If it weren't for her, you would end up like your dad. But you came a long way to fulfill your mother's promise, not your father's" Marinette said.

"Yeah, and choose the one for my heart" Adrien replied.

"That's what makes you Adrien Agreste. You became who you are by yourself. Your father obviously wanted his own vision of happiness with no one else in it" Alya said.

"Gabriel Agreste was a fake name he lived through by abandoning his real name. He was never a true Agreste with a fake life. But you, you're the real true Agreste" Luka said.

"Even if I'm the real first one besides him? Is that why he pressured me to be an Agreste because he was not?" Adrien asked.

"Exactly. He's just pretending to be someone he's not" Luka nodded in response.

"Just like Lila tried to do by lying her way to get what she wanted. Even if she can't face the consequences she ignores them. Like father like daughter," Marinette said.

"I'm just glad we'll never see her again" Adrien stood up.

"We are all sorry we didn't listen to both of you. It was as if she tried to make us all the bad guys when instead, we fall for it and we get our lives ruined" Alya said.

"Let's just say lying is a powerful superpower," Marinette said to her.

"Like our eyes lie, but cameras do not" Luka said.

"Just promise to not trust a stranger over your best friend again," Marinette said sternly.

"Just because everyone you see is nice doesn't mean is always good. They lure you in to make you believe their lies" Adrien said, remembering his first experience with Lila.

"I knew she was one from the beginning," Marinette said.

"And I should have known she was gonna get obsessed with ruining your life. I shouldn't have told you to take the high road" Adrien said to Marinette.

"I don't blame you, Adrien" Marinette wasn't mad at him.

"But still, I had no experience with bad people for what they do in life, except Chloe," Adrien said.

"She paid the price for her own selfish interests and only saw us as doormats," Sabrina said.

"Hmph, and yet she's still irresponsible with herself," Adrien said.

"Now come on, sulky boy. You need to be outside. You look paler like you never had sunlight" Alya makes him stand up.

"Let's go then" Adrien followed them out.

Of course, it was a little too bright for Adrien since it's been a week since he barely stepped outside.

"Calm down, vampire boy. The sun won't bite" Nino teased.

"I'm okay" Adrien shielded his eyes.

"What were you doing to yourself?" Marinette pounds his chest and he really did not get enough sunlight.

"Nothing" Adrien replied.

"Fine then my Prince" Marinette slyly replied.

Adrien cowers behind Marinette that the public is glancing, "They all hate me" Adrien whispered to her.

"Aww....look at that. The son of the monster! I never realized that you became a loser like these losers! Utterly ridiculous that I still see you as a traitor!" Chloe tormenting at what she sees in Adrien.

"That's enough, Chloe! Everyone is watching you! Don't become so foolish of yourself!" Marinette glared.

"Don't. I got this" Adrien appreciates his princess defending him but he can't make himself look like a coward in public, "Chloe, that was very selfish of you. Ever since we were kids, you barely ever changed for anyone. But I did tell you we are no longer friends anymore after what you did to one of my friends was so not okay. You always think about yourself but you never think about your conscience at all every time you get easily used as pawns by my father as the monster. Just like Lila tried to do to you. Both stay out of trouble but you get in trouble for them" Adrien explains her foolish and reckless revenge.

"Face it, Chloe! If anyone's utterly ridiculous it's you!" Marinette stands by his side.

"You always make me do everything for you! All I wanted was for you to see me as a friend, not a doormat! But I wasted my time that I can't take it anymore with your abuse!" Sabrina said.

"Consider yourself fired!" Chloe scoffed.

"Just because you're the Mayor's daughter doesn't mean you can abuse your power! You'll lose everything you have and you'll have no one to blame but yourself!" Adrien then marched towards his former friend.

"You may think you're pretty on the outside but you're a heartless monster on the inside. You said it yourself, you don't care about forgiveness. News flash, Chloe, no one is gonna forgive you this time. I will never forgive you for what you are becoming. And no one will ever wanna be with a monster like you!" Adrien shouted in her face that she couldn't see herself as a monster due to her irresponsible nature.

Chloe was in shock that Adrien told her off this seriously, "You take that back, Adri-nothing!" She tried to slap him.

But he caught her wrist, "Sorry but not sorry Chloe but your luck has run out. You tainted your reputation further" Adrien replied firmly.

"You think I care?!" Chloe yelled.

"You should because you're on broadcast now," Adrien said, glancing at everyone recording everything with their phones.

"WHAT?!" Chloe gasps in horror.

"Like you said, you don't care about forgiveness. I tried many times to give you chances to become a better person but you wasted it. My patience has already expired" Adrien said before going back to his friends where he belongs.

"DAMN YOU ADRIEN!!!" Chloe screamed but was ignored.

"You want everyone to adore you, Chloe. Well, there it is. You wanted attention? There it is. Be careful what you wish for" Marinette said as the public continued to see Chloe's out-of-control behavior getting the best of her.

"Let's go somewhere more fun," Felix said.

"Like what? I'm still vulnerable like a dead person" Adrien said.

"You need a simple real day off, cuz," Felix said, knowing that Adrien never had vacations because of his father's strict rules.

"I could wish for a warm place to spend at," Adrien said.
