The next day, the doctors checked Adrien to be sure he could walk, run, breathe, and move around normally. So far his progress was coming good but the doctors were afraid to tell him the bad news of what was happening to Nathalie and his father. Nathalie only has maybe a week until she's....kicked the bucket. As for Gabriel, the court will have to decide who will have child custody for Adrien.

"Give me a moment to talk to him. The stress I was having needed to be let out on him. For what he put me through" Adrien said, still wearing the hospital gown along with his pants.

"Very well," The Doctor said.

Adrien heads in and is nearly panicked when he sees black stuff on his father's left arm spreading up his shoulder to his chest. The flashback of the incident that night came to him when Monarch forced him to cataclysm his arm.

"Necrosis, I should've known. That's why you wear gloves to hide it. To lie your way out of suspicions so I wouldn't know but to make a fool out of me" Adrien glared, so angry at himself for trusting his father for lying, manipulating him, abusing his life and decisions, and treating him as a tool instead of his own son.

"I was just protecting you, Adrien!" Gabriel said.

"No, you only want to lock me away from everything you put me through" Adrien sat down, looking away from him that his father was stubborn and a hypocrite on everything instead of being so responsible with himself that he missed out on Adrien's life.

Adrien kept quiet, hoping his father realized what he had done to Adrien and himself. Especially his rude behavior towards Adrien's friends and calling them a bad influence nearly made Adrien humiliated in public every time Gabriel called out on something embarrassing. But what pains him more is that he was Monarch the whole time. He kept his mouth shut from asking why he would terrorize innocent people, from toddlers to young and old adult victims.

"You like to make me feel miserable, Gabriel Agreste. Don't you? Or is it because I'm building my own happiness with the girl I love, and you want to take it away?" Adrien asked, unaware that he now wears two rings to gain his willpower.

Gabriel had a fake one since Felix switched it earlier, "You two aren't meant to be with each other" Gabriel said.

"Oh, like the way you and mom are from different worlds, your parents did the same to you? And now you're doing the same to me right now?" Adrien felt insulted by how he talked to him like that, "My mother once said if I love someone so much, I follow my heart. I know you are still grieving, father. Your behavior has made you something far worse than being my father" Adrien glanced at him.

Gabriel groans by sitting up, "I really missed out"

"Yes, you did. You never pay attention to me at all. It left me to feel hurt inside that I would be alone forever in that mansion. I fell in love with the girl I love and she loves me for me. If you got to know her, you would understand her more" Adrien said, no longer trusting his father anymore because of what he is now.

"Then it's too late for me to ask for forgiveness," Gabriel said.

"Oh, like I had to apologize for everything for you but you never apologized to me for what you did. Every blame you put on me, you should be the one blaming yourself. Whenever I do something wrong, you would ground me or break your promises. Every time I disobey you, I get this weird electric tingle inside me that makes me obey you. You have pulled my puppet strings long enough" Adrien looks away from him, unaware that he's a sentimonster human.

"I know. But you're not alone when I'm gone" Gabriel said.

"Technically I already lost my father a year ago because he was so busy with 'work', it felt like I was never perfect enough to be the son he wanted. My friends were right all along, I should've stayed with them in New York instead of leaving them. Let me ask you, how did you know there was an Akuma in New York? The news did not go worldwide" Adrien asked.

Gabriel had no way to make a lie from this point now.

"Well? Answer me!" Adrien demanded.

Gabriel did not want to traumatize him or what he was, he kept quiet.

"That's what I thought. You're a coward as always. All I wanted was your approval. Marinette's parents loved me for being there for their daughter and they approved of me and her. If my mother was here, she would be proud of me for growing up from a little boy to a man. Is being a single parent really that hard for you or was it because mom was a better parent than you?" Adrien asked coldly.

"I couldn't do it without her," Gabriel said.

"Obviously you never went to parenting classes to learn but she knew more about being a parent than you ever will. I still cherish the memory of my mother but she would have wanted me to be happy. That's why I wanted to go to school to meet people my age, not be homeschooled to become isolated forever" Adrien explained why he continues to live a life.

"You really are just like her," Gabriel said.

"Well, I'm nothing like you. And I hope we'll never meet again. Everything I learned from the girl I loved, she made me very special. Everyone accepted me and her that we are a couple, not by your alliance rings filled with lies. Marinette also told me if a person loses their beauty and kindness to a bad path, they become a monster with a dark heart. Chloe, Lila, and now you are the real monsters. You lost your reputation, respect, and trust, everything you once had is now taken away by your selfishness. You're the one who is a bad influence, Gabriel Agreste. Not Marinette, not my friends, not the innocent people. You and only you. Like I said, you only let bad people in your life but you never let nice people like Marinette and me into your mind and heart" Adrien leaves the room, completely ending his trust and respect for his father who became a monster.

"Adrien! ADRIEN!" Gabriel shouted but was ignored.

The next day at the court, the judge has confirmed that Gabriel will no longer have child custody, and the fortune, the title, and the mansion will now be in Amelie's hands to care for Adrien until one day he has the mansion of his own as an adult. Gabriel will only have a week left to live but it gives him more time to face charges. Marinette was relieved he was finally free. But it doesn't make Adrien feel better that he's gonna be an orphan in a week by the time his father passes away from the cataclysm killing him.

Adrien already knows that he has killed his father as Cat Noir but it was not his intention, it was Monarch that forced him to do it. His counterpart Claw Noir was very lucky to be saved by Shadybug's magic ladybugs to cure the cataclysm wound on his chest. But his father was not so lucky to be cured without Ladybug's lucky charm to do it because he escaped with it and the curse could not be undone.

"Let's go home, Adrien" Amelie said to her nephew.

"Yeah, let's go," Adrien said in depression.

Felix knew he caused this but the price he paid as Flairmidable cannot be undone. He should've told him sooner but it would be much worse for Adrien to go mentally unstable. Just like Felix's mischief caused more trouble to more damage to everyone innocent whom he thought were mere oppressors.

"Adrien.." Felix tried to speak to him.

"Don't. I know what he is and you never told anyone about this. Wish granted for you" Adrien goes in the back seat until the bodyguard closes it.

For the rest of the ride, Felix kept quiet. He got a mysterious box from Nathalie the day before.

Ladybug was standing on the rooftops alone when she found a box near her. She picks it up and opens it to find all but the butterfly miraculous as rings. Next to it was a note.

"Ladybug, consider this a repayment for my betrayal to everyone. With a little help, you can restore them back to normal. I hope you can find it to accept my forgiveness. Argos" She read the note.

Unaware that he kept the peacock miraculous to preserve his and Adrien's existence. So he was still keeping it.

Inside the box was also a little sentimonster Viewfinder toy with legs to reveal the truth to her. It walked a little and it gestured her to take a look. She picks it up and clicks through the images, revealing Monarch is Gabriel, the wound spreading to his throat, Cerise's true appearance, etc.

"My god" Ladybug whispered.

The past revealed how Adrien's mother met Gabriel, discovered the lost miraculous in Tibet, and Emilie used the damaged miraculous to get herself pregnant since she couldn't because of being infertile, and finally having a son that is half human and half sentimonster. Until she became sick and fell into a coma. While Colt succumbed to the illness after making Felix. And to the point where Felix had to trade all the miraculous to his uncle for the peacock miraculous exchange. She then saw when Gabriel threatened to remove him.

"This makes so much sense now," Ladybug said after seeing it all, that her boyfriend and his cousin are hybrids, Lila's true self and Monarch is Gabriel.

Both cousins were being controlled by their abusive fathers to be told what to do. Like Adrien is always able to stand up to others but could not stand up against his father because he had his amok to control him like a puppet. The same goes for Felix who is controlled, abused, and mistreated, and his happiness is destroyed because of his heartless father.

"Well, they proved themselves more human than their fathers. But It's gonna take time to forgive Felix. Tell him that I'm grateful he returned them to me" Ladybug said to the sentimonster, "And I finally understand why he cares more about sentimonsters because he is one too. Now I know why he had to make a deal was to not to let history repeat itself for Adrien" She added.

The sentimonster viewfinder nodded.

"Well, now to find Su Han to fix them" Ladybug swings to find him while the sentimonster returns to Argos.

Adrien was still sulking in his bedroom, wanting to be alone again, processing everything from being lied to for too long by his father.

"Talk about having a rough day, Plagg," He said.

"But at least you don't have to be on a leash like an animal," Plagg said.

"Yeah, but I hate it that my own father was the villain Paris feared," Adrien said.

"Man, ever since my previous kittens were like thieves, they always find ways to stop royalties from going greedy. Like King Midas I remember went greedy for gold because he made his wish to touch anything to turn gold" Plagg explained.

"But he realized he'd starve and after accidentally turning his daughter to gold so he had to get rid of the power," Adrien said.

"Yup. Just like your dad's greed was the cost of almost losing you but apparently he already lost everything. Greed and power can happen to anyone if they only knew better than this" Plagg said.

"Yeah," Adrien folded his arms behind his head.

"Sugarcube always says that life has a price to pay. Your father's price is his life" Plagg said.

"I know. But it's too late to heal him" Adrien said. Just then he heard a knock on his door.

"Adrien? You there?" It was Marinette's voice.

"Come in," Adrien said sadly.

Plagg hides as Marinette runs to him.

"Oh Adrien" She hugs him for comfort.

"Marinette" Adrien hugs her tight.

"My sweet prince" She felt his tears on her shoulder.

"You have no idea how I wanted to be free, to be with you so much" He sobs.

"That monster won't touch you again," Marinette said.

"I don't know what my mother saw in him. She would never be cruel like him. She raised me with kindness and love" Adrien still sobbing like a mess.

"She never saw how cruel and evil he was. I wish I could see her" Marinette cried with him.

"He said she disappeared. I hardly believe that because I assume she's dead. He never wanted to believe she's dead" Adrien said sadly.

"He couldn't accept her fate. But with support from friends and family we're strong" Marinette rubs his back.

"Don't ever leave me again. I don't want to go through my naive self of stupidity again" Adrien held her tight.

"Neither do I with that Liar," Marinette said.

"I hope she won't return to ruin it all again" Adrien held her hand.

At her lair, Cerise thought she claimed the butterfly miraculous but there was no actual kwami coming out of it. Not even the transformation words worked either. She realized it was a fake and she figured that the clone of Adrien swapped it earlier when he figured out through her disguise.

"Damn it! He knew my plans!" Cerise threw it at the wall, "No one outsmarts me like that! How did he see me through my disguise?! No one can see it!"

She paced back and forth and then looked at a ruined picture of Marinette and Adrien, "I would have gotten my chance for revenge now"

Unaware that the fake brooch has a tracker of her location.

Felix found her location tracker in the restricted area of the catacombs. Very forbidden for people to go there but not to Cerise.

"I have you now, liar," He said.

Even his sentimonster Optigami found her lair too and it's spying on her and what she's really up to. He can see she has every wig collection, makeup, phone, and her scheme chart.

"Her master plan won't be a reality soon," Felix said.

"You were right. I shouldn't have listened to Lila who turns out she was using me to separate Marinette from Adrien. For Gabriel's selfish desire. Both of them are truly liars" Kagami can't believe how naive she was to trust Lila. She should've known better.

"She had everyone fooled, but no more. Her days of deception end now. I hate to say this but your mother was also working for my uncle too. Optigami hacked in the security cameras in Gabriel's office and take a look" Felix showed the footage of the previous videos Optigami hacked in.

It showed Tomoe angrily smashing Gabriel's screen and hand, "YOU SENT AN MEGA-AKUMA INTO MY DAUGHTER'S RING! YOU ENDANGERED HER!!!" She yelled while pressuring the bokkun on Gabriel's wrist.

"Tsurugi-San, calm down!" Gabriel said.

"If you don't honor your contract, Gabriel, I will make your dream disappear! Just like you did with mine! "Don't ever forget again! And that you owe me everything!"

Kagami was shocked that her mother was indeed working for that monster behind her back.

"No, it can't be!" Kagami felt betrayed.

"I'm so sorry, my queen. I didn't know she would do that. I blamed myself for getting her akumatized but it turns out she willingly got akumatized because she knows I have the peacock miraculous" Felix said, feeling guilty for endangering his queen and himself for his foolishness.

"You are so stupid, Felix!" Kagami pounded his chest for being reckless but hugged him.

"Okay, I actually deserved that. My ass is still punished by Ladybug, Cat Noir, Adrien, and you" Felix hugs her back.

"The only punishment should go to is Gabriel, Lila, and my mother. But you still have a lot of lessons to learn to make sure you don't ever do that again" Kagami said.

"I won't. But we got to start with Lila since Gabriel only has five days before he dies" Felix said.

"You did learn something from me? Tell me what I taught you" Kagami sneered, hoping he did pay attention to her lessons.

"Please don't do that but fine since I also deserve to be punished, again" Felix took a deep breath to say it, "Death, the truth dies with it. Alive, you're free. Analyze my opponent and find its weakness, not get ahead of myself with cockiness" He muttered.

"Correct. And now, let's do it together" Kagami held out her restored dragon miraculous.

"That was fast for a baker girl," Felix said.

"And fashion designer. You really gotta find a real hobby one of these days, not your big bad boy routine" Kagami glared.

"Okay, okay! I get the picture. I'm sorry for trading all the miraculous to the asshole which also means your miraculous. I deserved that, twice again" Felix crossed his arms with a pout.

"Good, let's get going," Kagami said.

"When can my punishment be over before I die of agony and humiliation?" Felix asked sarcastically.

"Maybe a month," Kagami said.
