The teenagers in this town were entitled brats, they felt they could take everything they laid eyes on, and in all honesty, it was quite so. With parents who run the town and owned multimillion pound companies, the teenagers who attended Westshire High had been hand fed with a silver spoon since birth.

"You know what Ellie, keep your slutty hands off my boyfriend. We all know you've probably slept with like thirty guys under a year, but don't think people like my boyfriend are attracted to your cheap ass." Valma Lee put her hand on her hips and fumed at Elizabeth, as her friend stood by, nodding vigorously.

"Are you done? Insecurity in a relationship is never healthy, Valma." Elizabeth knew Valma was just a loud talker, all bark no bite. Valma Lee was top of her class, her image as the perfect student leader would never be tarnished with something as undignified as a catfight. "Besides, it was a friendly peck on the cheek. Now if you're insinuating your man is turned on by my friendly gesture than-"

"Um-no, that's not what I'm saying. Just stay away from Ryan. Or else, I'll deem you too irresponsible for a place to vote in student council decisions!" Valma threatened as misuse of power was a common conception in Westshire. Fortunately for Elizabeth, the council consisted of members according to wealth, not democracy nor dictatorship.

Elizabeth gasped dramatically and put her hand on her chest. "Valma, no. Please don't do that, I'd be nothing without my student council vote. Oh please, please, please keep me on the council, the only other way to get on is to have..." Elizabeth feigned a thoughtful look.

"Donations," Valma mumbled, rolling her eyes. Valma's friend crossed her arms as well, showing annoyance.

"Oh I remember, generous donations and funding from said student's parents. Which I have. Yay me!" Elizabeth giggled in a high pitched voice and clapped her hands together.

Valma sputtered, then stomped away, leaving Elizabeth feeling satisfied and a confused Robbie. Elizabeth took the drink from his hands as he continued to stare at her. She raised her eyebrows at him as if to dare him to say something.

"Why must you go around parading like a slut?" He finally asked, his brown eyes filled with anger.

"Why must you go around picking up chicks like a man whore?" Elizabeth retorted, leaning against the bar counter.

"I told you, Lisa and me- we were just having a friendly chat. Besides, it's not like you aren't even friendly, forget romantic. How about giving your boyfriend some love?"

"Hm, I wonder why. Oh wait, maybe it's because you're an obnoxious momma's boy who can't keep it in his pants, you hypocrite!" Elizabeth took a sip of her drink.

"Momma's boy? What the fuck does that mean? You're the one who is manipulative and cold just like her mother." Robbie threw his hands up, his face as red as his hair.

Elizabeth opened her mouth to say something, only to be stopped by someone else.

"Well, this is depressing." Kenna Thomson interrupted the couple. Elizabeth looked up to see her tall friend in a letterman's jacket and jeans approach them. Kenna Thomson is friendly, open and honest. It was like she completely skipped the emotional drama stage of teenage hood and became a righteous ball of sunshine.

Elizabeth smiled, feeling her agitation disappear. "You know what's even more depressing? Lisa Reid's skinny legs in that god-awful dress."

"Oh for fuck's sake," muttered Robbie and without saying another word, he sauntered off.

"Well, that was nice," Kenna said sarcastically. She tucked a piece of her brown hair behind her ear and gave Elizabeth a pointed look. "Why don't you break up with him? You both are definitely not interested in each other anymore."

"Thought you weren't going to come," Elizabeth replied, changing the topic. She couldn't answer that question because she didn't know the answer herself. She gulped the rest of her margarita down to cue Kenna to start talking.

Kenna let out a sigh of defeat. "Well, attending parties aren't going to uphold my scholarships. But, you-know-who is here," Kenna said as she wiggled her eyebrows at Elizabeth.

"Liam?"

Kenna nodded in reply and pointed at the dance floor where her longtime crush Liam, who was doing some silly dance move with his mates. He had a slim physique, but strong, mostly from being a football player. Elizabeth agreed with Kenna, he was cute.

"Well then, what're you waiting for? Go on, get your man," Elizabeth said as she laughed. The buzz from the alcohol started to reach her head.

"I don't think so. I'm just here to enjoy the view," Kenna winked.

"Uh, no. What we're not going to do is stand around staring like creeps." Elizabeth grabbed Kenna by the hand and pulled her to the dance floor. Kenna, after her initial reluctance, shuffled over to Liam and started to dance with their friends.

Elizabeth almost laughed at Kenna's attempt to flirt, she looked like an awkward duck to her. Her elated feeling lasted shortly though, as Elizabeth's eyes landed on her red-head boyfriend Robbie, kissing another girl in the corner.

Elizabeth didn't even feel anger at this point, she just spun around and headed back to the bar. She wasn't an alcoholic, more so she wouldn't admit to being one. In a fight or flight situation, most people take flight as it's easier and requires less effort and alcohol was her flight. Ten minutes and three straight shots later, Elizabeth ordered another rum and stood up to return to her friends.

She stumbled off the bar stool and felt the dizziness hit her, she was definitely drunk. She'd almost made it back on the dance floor when suddenly, she crashed into someone and Elizabeth's drink was all over their shirt.

"Oi, watch it!" The person looked up from his shirt, and Elizabeth did the same. She was then looking into a pair of very angry, yet brilliant, blue eyes.

"Whoops," Elizabeth snorted at the sight of the obviously outraged boy. She couldn't help but giggle in her drunken state while the drink slowly spread out into his shirt's fabric.

"You've messed up my shirt, you absolute idiot." The boy quickly started unbuttoning his black shirt and pulled it off to reveal a white under the tank.

He looked familiar to Elizabeth, but her mind was too fuzzy and would not focus on anything and even her words had a slight slur to them. She looked in her hand at the half-empty cup and frowned, half of her drink was gone. She quickly gulped down the other half.

"Alright, but you cost me half a drink too, you don't see me wailing over it," Elizabeth said absentmindedly, as she cocked her head sideways to get a look at the boy's shoulders and arms that were now bare and revealed in all their glory.

"Forget it, I don't need a god damn shirt from your pathetic ass, Castle." The blue-eyed boy pushed Elizabeth aside, in an attempt to walk away, making her lose her balance.

She fell backwards and tried to grab on to something around her, anything, or even anyone. It didn't help, instead, Elizabeth looked like a flailing fish out of water before she hit the floor... hard. Then, everything went black.
