It was just weeks later and I still left Gray unanswered about her liking me more than just a friend. I was beginning to think what it would be like but felt like it was forbidden to think about it, I was on the beach back in the Southlands staring out in the distance. While I stared out, I heard footsteps come close to me.

I was hoping it was Gray so we could speak but it was King Ben, "My step-sister is coming soon..just thought I'd let you know.." I sighed and nodded, "Great..", "Something wrong.." he came and sat by me, "Have you ever had the feeling like if you break the rules, you would be shunned.."

He had laughed, "Talking to the person who dated and is now married to a VK," I laughed a little, "Yes I know that shunning is one thing but what truly matters is when you see the future in the person..When I first saw Mal, I knew she was destined for more than just the label of VK..", "Was being Queen on the list.."

He shrugs, "Not at first but when we dated awhile, then yes I saw it. Look for the personality as looks are always hidden in their personality. Like Mal for example, when my mom first saw her, she saw her as her mother Maleficent, but when she got to know her time after time, she saw her as a person with a rough past."

I smiled slightly, "That helps a lot.." he smiled back, "That's good.." a horn went off as we turned and saw the bridge of the ship that came in, had dropped down. "Shall we get going.." I nodded as we headed that way.

"I present you Lacey Hearts, daughter of the Queen of Hearts..my majestys.." She had curtsied as Jay went up to her. "Well..well how long has it been.." she laughed, "Not long, just maybe 8 months.."

He kissed her hand, "Miss me at all?", "I always do.." he spun her as Gray saw her, "Who is she..", "You must haven't cleaned your ears out with all that Neverland sand in your mind.." commented as she looked at me weirdly.

"I second that question..who is she..", "I'm Gray.." Lacey looked at her strangely as well, "Like the color.." Gray nodded, "I'm Lacey.." they shook hands, "You know it is nice to meet an original neverlander, is it true what they say about your kind.."

She had said with a smile though that sounded kind of rude. "Not really depends on who you talk to and who is from there. But for your kind, yours seems pretty accurate. Those from Wonderland love to wonder about other's personal life.." my eyes widened, "Gray." I teethed as she looked at me again.

Lacey laughed it off and hugged and curtsied towards the others including me. "Anyways..what brings you to the Southlands of Auradon." Gray had said, "Oh I just got a letter from Jay saying about everything that had happened and all, along with an official invitation to Melody's Coronation..this time without any fake one or trickster.." she nodded, "Right..well welcome.."

"Thanks?" Jay looked at me, "She doesn't know does she..", "Know what.." Gray had said, "Well how can I say it.." Lacey had sung about her and Ben's relationship but then it took a twist as she started to poke Gray's buttons which wasn't a good sign. Gray had joined but near the end something triggered her to draw her sword out.

Near the end of the song Lacey had laughed off the nerves as Gray pulled her sword and locked eyes with her. "Two can win at the game of a true castaway at heart..but only one will be victorious and the other is a full on liar." Lacey had then grabbed the tip of her sword, "Would a liar know swordsmanship.." she had glared at her. I laughed nervously, "Anyone want tea..", "Tea isn't gonna fix this boiling pot of water.." said Sulllivan.
