*Knock Knock*

"Detective Walsh here"

Both Mr and Mrs Hines looked at each other then got up from the couch together, heading towards the door, their hands were trembling.

"Hey, is there a pro-?" Mr. Hines asked.

"Are you Mr and Mrs. Hines? Parents of Cassie Hines?" Asked detective Walsh.

"Yes" Answered Mr. Hines.

Both Mr and Mrs. Hines were panicking even more after recognizing Cassie's belongings in the detective hands.

" So where is she?" Mrs. Hines asked.

"Unfortunately, we found a body next to these items and we believe it's Cassie." Detective Walsh said.

By the look on the parents faces, it's like their heart sunk.

"No, no, no, no." Mr. Hines repeatedly said while holding his fist to his mouth as tears began to fill his eyes.

The brother, Rick as he walking down the steps and overheard the conversation and walked timidly towards the door.

"Mom, Dad what happened?" He came out with his heart pounding. He spotted her belongings. "Where's Cassie?" He asked.

They all looked at him.

"No that's bullshit, no! No please" He said as tears fell down from his eyes.

"I'll believe it when I see it." He said.

He ran upstairs to pull his matching chain out and kissed it, hoping it would bring some luck. As Cassie told them as a kid that kissing the chain was a way to for luck and a way to find her incase she gets lost or something happened to her. It was sounded stupid when Cassie first told him. They were kids at the time.

"Unfortunately, She succumbed to injury, we found gunshot wounds to the stomach and in the head" One police man said.

"Are there any information or suspect in mind you think would've done this? Do you guys have anything that you think would help in this case?"Asked Walsh.

"Yea, that boy Kevin, Kevin Rogers" the dad said.

"Do you know where this suspect reside?" Asked Walsh.

"Merlin street, few blocks down the street" Rick said.

"What was the relation between Kevin and Cassie?" Asked Walsh.

"They use to da-" before Rick could finish his sentence, the dad cut him off and said "he was a creep that wanted my daughter. " Mr. Hines said.

The parents were asked to confirm the body.

When they arrived to the morgue, their belly was rumbling and it wasn't due to hunger, their hands were also shaking as they entered the place.

The sheet was lifted off the body and they spotted the butterfly looking birthmark above her lips.

"It's he-" Mrs. Hines said while looking up at Mr. Hines and taking deep breaths.

Mr. Hines was silent.

They came out and saw Rick standing at the door and they all looked at each other, they both gave him the "yes" look.

"No, no , nooo, noo, nooo, nooo, mom, dad, no." He kept saying while stomping his feet on the concrete. He then ran towards the door where the body was in and he was screaming while the security guards try to pull him back.

He was losing his breath and was becoming consciousness. He collapsed a few moments after.

They immediately rushed him to the hospital which was just across the street.

The parents sat in the waiting area for him while they reflected on what transpired.

" I really wish he hadn't known." Mr. Hines said trying his best to fight in the tears.

Mrs. Hines was rubbing his back as tears fell from her face.

"Is like....I- I- knew that it would take a toll on him." Mr.Hines stuttered, you could hear the pain in his voice as he tries not to cry.

"I already lost one kid, I don't wanna lose another one" he said.

"I'm gonna use the restroom" He said.

When he entered the restroom, he went towards the mirror, staring at his reflection as he started breaking down in tears.

*Toilet flushes*

Mr. Hines quickly grabbed a piece of paper to wipe his tears.

"Everything ok mane?" A guy asked.

"Yea yea everything is fine" Mr Hines responded.

The guy went closer to him and hugged him and Mr. Hines started crying even harder.

"It's okay to cry than to hold it in, let it out" The man said. He rubbed his back then walked off.

Meanwhile Mrs. Hines had her head in her hands crying waiting to hear what the doctor has to say regarding Rick.

The FBI along with the detective with a warrant to search Kevin's place but turned out that Kevin had moved out , he was deemed missing .
