I'm disappointed, Kevin did not showed up for church. He told me he would but he didn't. I started to feel like I was getting played all over again.

My parents weren't surprised and they were happy because then they wouldn't get to meet him and they were fine with that.

"I told you hun, boys like him are no good and if he doesn't love God, he's not gonna love you."

I called him but he wasn't answering.

After days of not answering my calls or text, Kevin popped up at my family's Christmas dinner.

I couldn't believe it, he looked absolutely good in his burgundy suit.

Rick's dog even rushed to him and licked him from head to toe.

My parents looked absurdly at him.

He brought gifts with him too, he got my brother a ticket to see Micheal Jackson, he made me an Aaliyah T-shirt, I cried. He got my mom a jacket and gave my dad wine.

Everyone loved their gift, I introduced him to them and their vibe changed.

Rick had his head down in his plate.

" Appreciate  it but we can't accept these gifts respectfully, so take it back to wherever you stole them from." My dad said.
"Carol?!" My mom yelled
"Huh ?" Kevin responded "With all due respect sir, I didn't steal a got damn thing, that's racist as hell if you ask me."

"Are you back talking me in my own house little boy?!!" He yelled while getting up from the table, clenching his fist.

Kevin walked away and my mom looked at him differently. She tried to calm dad down but he wouldn't.

He ran Kevin out the house and told him the next time he trespassed the premises, he will be in jail or killed.

Surprisingly, he forgot that Kevin gave Rick a concert ticket to see Michael Jackson because he was so angry thinking about the altercation between him and Kevin.

So later that night I encouraged Rick to to go the concert to enjoy himself and I'll cover for him.

He hugged me and told me I was the best sister ever and that??? Melted my heart.

My parents was so focused on me, they didn't even realize Rick was gone.

Especially my dad, he made a comment saying he preferred Andre....I guess is because they both got something in common, ignorant and controlling.
