The Play
It had been one and a half months since that day. Charlie and I were getting ready for the performance that night. Charlie still had no idea I was a witch, and I didn't plan on her knowing any time soon.
I invited all my friends from Hogwarts to the performance. I was extremely excited, for the most part.
"But Charlie! I don't want to kiss him!" I whined.
"He can't be that bad, Ana." Charlie rolled her eyes.
"You don't know Sirius Black like I do," I grumped, crossing my arms over my chest.
"It's only once! Be happy Angela didn't make you have to kiss him before now," Charlie laughed at my stubbornness. We had become really great friends that summer. Everyday, before and after rehearsal, we'd hang out at Emily's Book Store and read books and laugh.
"You look stunning, Charlie," I told her as she twirled in circles.
"Thanks," she blushed, "you do too." I examined my outfit again. www.polyvore.com/serana_ariel/set...
"Girls! You ready?" Mum called from downstairs.
"Coming Mum!" I shouted back. Charlie and I raced downstairs.
"Where are your shoes?" Mum asked, looking at my feet.
"I don't have any," I told her, beaming. She chuckled.
"Frank! We're leaving!" Mum screamed. Frank came running around the corner. The four of us packed into Mum's car and headed off to the theater.
"Go girls. Break a wand-ah-leg!" Mum called as She and Frank drove off to find a parking spot. Charlie and I rushed off into the Theater and backstage. Someone wolf whistled.
"Sirius! Go away! I need to concentrate!" I shouted at the black haired boy walking up behind me.
"Fine then, sweetheart. Be that way," he laughed at strutted off.
"Serana! In your place! Angelica, Ethan, Erica, George, Elisabeth, Rosy-" Angeal, our teacher, muttered to herself as she walked away. I hustled onto the stage, overly excited and nervous.
Tears pricked into my eyes. I wiped them away.
"How could her do this to me?" I whispered loud enough for the audience to hear me. Eric and Ursula, or Sirius and Charlie, were standing in front of the pope, about to be married. I stood off the the side, tears rolling down my cheeks. It wasn't that hard to be sad, but I had to make sure I didn't turn into a Wolf at any random point in time.
The wedding was abruptly stopped when a seagull, seal, and a crab all flopped onto the stage. I gasped as the sun setted in the distance.
"Arial!" Sirius' voice called out from the other side of the stage.
"Eric." I beamed and began running to the boy I loved. His arms were wide open. I crashed into him. He spun we around. I giggled and her laughed. He slowly lent in. My head was racing. I knew had to kiss him, but I was scared. I took a deep breath and met him half way.
Is it terrible that I loved it? Is it horrid that I never wanted that kiss to end? I mean, literal fireworks were cracking and a real audience was applauding. My first kiss. I couldn't believe it. Eventually, we pulled apart.
"We're never speaking of this at school," I whispered to Sirius as I hugged him.
"Whatever you say, love," he smirked. We bowed, hand in hand. Charlie, who was 'dead' on the floor, stood up and bowed with us as the crowd went berzurkers. Others started filling in and bowing. Soon the curtain closed. I hugged Charlie.
"We did it!" I told her.
"Yeah! You seemed to enjoy that kiss a little too much for hating him," She eyed me.
"Never said I hated him," I said innocently. She laughed. We linked arms and skipped off stage.
"Rani! That was awesome!" Lils screamed, hugging me.
"You really did do awesome, Rain," Tonks agreed.
"Thanks! Guys, this is Charlie. Charlie, this is Lily, Ellie, Nymphadora, Ted, Andromeda, Frank, Alice, Marlene, Severus, and Remus," I told Charlie, pointing to each of my friends. She beamed at them all.
"Nice to meet you!" She waved.
"Now about that kiss-" Frank started, glaring at me.
"No. We're never, ever, ever, ever talking about that," I pointed a finger at Lils," Ever."
"You liked it, eh?" Sirius asked, walking up to Remus, who was smiling widely.
"It ment nothing. Just part of the play," I said.
"Hurtful much?" I thought it was sarcasm, but the look Sirius gave me, told me it wasn't.
