"Jungkook, aren't you going to talk to me?"

Jungkook laid on his bed with eyes wide open and stuck to the ceiling above. He talked to Prof. Kim today and when he came out he didn't even talk to Taehyung since then. He abruptly came to their shared apartment and just threw his bag to lay down on bed. Ever since then he hasn't spoken a word and it was scaring Taehyung as he wondered what they had talked about for Jungkook to act like this. He tried talking but Jungkook didn't replied.

So now Taehyung had no choice but let the boy take his own time. He knew he will talk. So he approached the boy on bed and slowly laid down besides him. Even then Jungkook didn't look at him. So Taehyung just scooted closer to him and placed his hand on Jungkook's stomach where he could clearly feel the trail of abs. He started rubbing which was his common habit whenever the older was stressed. And seemed to work this time too as Jungkook's tensed muscles relaxed a bit by bit.

"Kook? Wanna talk about it?", He asked in his deep but soothing voice. Jungkook let out a sigh.

"I don't know what to talk Tae. And even if I know, I don't know if I have words to describe it...", Jungkook mumbled. Taehyung sat up and placed his hand under his chin to make him look at him.

"You know, I will understand however way you tell me.. But please I need to know so I can help you.", Taehyung looked deep in his eyes and Jungkook's eyes soften immediately.

"I don't know if that's a sick joke whatever professor told me. I don't know how to describe it either... But they... told me that Jimin hates us because of some past issue.", Jungkook tried to tell him in least possible words. Taehyung furrowed his brows in confusion.

"But we haven't known him until this semester... What would be the possible issue then?"

"No... Not exactly the past-past. He told that we've known him from our p...past life. 700 years ago...", Jungkook stammered and Taehyung's eyes widen comically at this.

The next hour spent by as Jungkook told Taehyung everything he got to know from Namjoon. From Jimin's immortality cycle to his curse breaking law. Taehyung was getting little breathless even though he wasn't the one talking. This was a lot to take in. By the time Jungkook finished talking, Taehyung had been blanked out.

"So is that the reason why he hates us? Because we always left him out?", Taehyung silently asked.

"Left him out? Are you believing whatever Mr. Kim told me?", Jungkook snarled.

"Why would he lie for then?", Taehyung retort back. Seeing Jungkook fall silent Taehyung pursed his lips tight shut.

"All I want to say is we didn't left him out, Tae. We just never loved him the way he wanted. And I'm sorry for him that it's not possible in this life too...", His voice was low but not enough for Taehyung to go unheard. Yes, this was true. They never loved the way he wanted them to. But that doesn't mean that they hated him. Now they finally could understand Jimin, even at least a little bit.

That made a wave of relief wash over them to know the reason. But only for a short second. Because it wasn't long when a new question arose their minds.

"So what will do now?"

"Where is Namjoon?"

Jihyun asked as she stared at the stressed male in front of her after coming inside their luxurious apartment.

"In his study. He's acting weird ever since he came home. He even took a day off from college earlier today.", Jin informed briefly. Jihyun frowned in confusion.

"Did something happen in the college?", She threw an assumption. Jin shook his head slightly as he gestured her to sit. "I don't think so. He visited his father after taking off from college and I'm sure that's the reason why he's locked himself in his study."

"So why did you call us?", Jihyun asked curiously.

"Because I think it's about Jimin. When I went to call him, he was all surrounded with different books which definitely don't concern his father. He asked me to call you and Jimin. Where is he? I called Hoseok too. He must be around the corner by now.", Jin sighed.

"Jimin will be here in few minutes too. And yeah, he's coming with someone he mentioned that also belongs to his past. From different era than ours.", Jihyun informed and Jin's ears perked up.

"That confirms my suspicion then...", A voice came from the door causing Jin and Jihyun to snap their heads in the direction. Namjoon standing there.

"What happened Namjoon? Why did you call us?", Jihyun asked as Namjoon approached them and sat down quietly. "Let Jimin come home first.", He assured in calm voice.

Not long after the doorbell rang to reveal Hoseok standing with same concern and confusion on his face. But still no one talked, waiting for Jimin to come home.

And it took more fifteen minutes to ring the bell to Namjoon's apartment, letting them know Jimin's arrival. Jin opened the door to face Jimin but along with him a unfamiliar face also.

"Hey Hyung.", Jimin greeted Jin and made way inside. Jin ajust followed with furrowed brows at the other male who was walking like he owned everything with a smug face.

"Hey— who is he?", Jihyun asked as she eyed the tall male besides Jimin who had dressed in his ripped Jeans with dark coloured t-shirt along with leather jacket to go with it. He had some smug look on his face, annoying smirk, not to mention that it was going well with his very handsome face. But his gestures towards Jimin were surprisingly opposite and warm.

"This is Kai hyung..", Jimin briefly answered and three snorts and huffs were heard around the room, supposedly coming from Jin, Namjoon and Hoseok.

"What are you doing with this kid? I have checked his records from previous college. He was kicked out for creating some problem there and now he's luring you—", Jin started yelling at Jimin. Jimin frowned and tried to stop him but he was cut off by Kai first.

"Hey hey... Chill out man... Did I do something to you? Perhaps your brother or sister was there in my previous college that has complained about me. If it is then we can talk it out nicely. But first, Do. Not. Yell. At. Jimin.", He spelled out his each word so sharply that left everyone gasping. No one knew that this bad boy type boy can have a soft side for someone.

Everyone was quite surprised leaving Jimin who had a fond look towards Kai. It wasn't new for him. He cleared his throat that brought everyone back from the trance.

"I had mentioned to you that I met someone from my past once more. It's him. I had met him back in 1621 era.", Jimin announced. And honestly they weren't that surprised from the news. What was surprising that Kai was the one who had met him. What could be the situation that caused them to meet by any chance.

You see, no one like Kai much. He was always tagged as troublemaker. Even Kai didn't give any fucks about it what everyone thought about him. But he was still dear to Jimin so they gulped their displeasure down and nodded. Even though they didn't take much liking in Kai, they could see the male was genuine with Jimin, which meant he was no harm.

"So what was it you wanted to talk about Namjoon hyung?", Jimin asked after much time settling down.

"I was doing some studies, trying to put pieces together since you don't talk much about it. Regarding your condition.", Namjoon said calmly as he held up his phone to show Jimin a picture. His father's picture, to be specific. "Do you know him perhaps?"

Jimin's eyes zeroed on the picture before they went wide in shock.

"Th— my... My father...."

"Yes. He's your father. Apparently now mine in this birth.", Namjoon calmly stated taking in everyone's shocked face. No one spoke anything as they wanted Namjoon to continue without asking.

"So, he also has reborn but haven't met you yet so you didn't know. I was thinking of this ever since I got your family portrait.", Namjoon said.

"What portrait? You never mentioned it.. Where did find it?", Jihyun who was mostly sane asked in disbelief.

"I found it. That's not important though. I made some assumptions and regarding that I went to meet my father. And judging from his reaction, he also doesn't remember anything about his past.", He said for some reason not telling about the conversation he had with Jungkook and everyone fell in silent yet again.  Trying to figure out things. Jimin was just stoic. Not showing any specific reaction. Just witnessing things revealed.

"So why do we remember though?", Hoseok asked.

"According to me, you all are the people who helped him whenever he was out from the stone. And we don't remember because I think we were his family? But why though?", Namjoon said scratching his nape in confusion.

"But we weren't exactly his family though. We were his guards and guides.", Jin questioned. Namjoon was once again confused. Ever since he met Jungkook and talked about those things and that portrait of Royal family of Busan, he was thinking hard about why they wouldn't remember anything.

"Is it because we knew Jimin already in our life than you people who were practically strangers for him?", Namjoon once again brought his thought. Kai and Hoseok just nodded in agreement.

"So we were like Jimin's guardian Angels and therefore we remember him. And you were just his family and so you don't remember..?", Jihyun looked at Namjoon in question.

"It's not that. You people don't remember anything because you are the ones who cursed me.", Jimin's cold voice boomed through the room and everyone became dead silent. Not even a gasp was heard.

"The people who are in that family portrait are the ones who had cursed me and that's why none of you will remember. Every curse has the a blessing in it so that the person can live through the curse and pass the punishment. And these people are that blessings.", Jimin said looking at Jihyun, Hoseok and Kai respectively. His gaze soft.

"As for Jungkook and Taehyung, they won't remember because they are the reason of this curse. It's my scrutiny to pass through this without them remembering anything.", Jimin said and eyed everyone who was buried in deep thoughts.

"So... Jungkook and Taehyung are the ones who always set you free to give you chance to break your curse. And every time you had to make efforts to make them love you and failed. As well as in the era where this Kai met you?", Namjoon asked in confirmation.

"They weren't always the ones to set me free. They also held the role in ruining my chances to break through my curse.", Jimin snarled.

"What do you mean?", Jihyun spoke up.

"It wasn't either of them who set me free in 1621."

"Then?"

"It was Kai hyung."
