Y/N'S POV
We won.
I smiled as I patted Nishinoya's head and he purred. He pushed his head further and yearned for more.
"Good job, senpai!" I cooed at him, he blushed deeply and went to hug me but Ennoshita grabbed him by the collar from the back.
"Absolutely no hugging when you're covered in sweat, Nishinoya," He deadpanned.
Nishinoya whined but he ignored it, Tanaka approached me and thrusted his head forward.
"Simp," Tsukishima whispered to Yamaguchi who nodded rapidly.
Nonetheless, I did the same with a smile. They were really wholesome–they deserved to be adored.
"Oi."
I turned to Kageyama who was looking at me blankly, "What do you want?"
He smirked slightly only for me to see. Kageyama leaned his face beside my ear, "Aren't you going to congratulate me?"
His low whisper sent shivers on my skin, it was deep and sounded dangerous. I gulped slightly and noticed some of the members staring. Tsukishima was slightly gagging and Hinata wore a surprised face.
"Um, nice work?" I confusedly said and made a 3 finger okay sign.
"That's it?" He pulled away and raised a brow.
I was about to retort, but Oikawa approached us.
"Y/n-chan~!" He cooed and stood beside me. Oikawa didn't spare a glance at Kageyama who was giving him a judging stare.
"Oikawa-senpai? Do you need something?" I raised a brow at him.
"'Senpai' ?" Kageyama crossed his arms and ha a stare off with the brunette.
"Yes, she calls me senpai. Do you have a problem with that, Tobio-chan?" He bittersweetly smiled at the pissed off blueberry.
"Stop with the tension. Kageyama, go back to the team. I'll follow after I talked with him," I looked into Kageyama's eyes but looked away. He scoffed but left anyway.
"Does Tobio-chan like you, Y/n-chan~?" Oikawa slightly smirked at me before standing closer.
"Huh? No, we just met not too long ago. Why do you say that?" My head cocked to the side in curiosity.
He laughed, "Nothing."
Iwaizumi appeared and smacked Oikawa's back, "Sorry about him, L/n."
"That hurt, Iwa-chan," The brunette whined and pouted.
"By the way, just curious–how come you never asked why I'm the manager?" I squinted my eyes at them.
"Well," Iwaizumi glanced at Oikawa who started whistling and looking away.
"This idiot accidentally zipped open your bag when we were at the clinic. We saw your volleyball jacket, but we figured you were some kind of manager since you don't look like you play volleyball," He sheepishly said.
My brows shot up as I raised my brow at Oikawa who immediately looked away. I sighed and turned to Iwaizumi, "Thank you for your honesty. All of you did great by the way. Iwaizumi-senpai, you're really good at scoring. Though I did not expect Oikawa-senpai to be skilled with his fingers," I hummed.
Oikawa's eyes widened and his face heat up. Same thing happened for Iwaizumi, they both awkwardly stared at the ground.
"What?" I dumbly asked.
Oh-
My eyes widened and I, too, blushed. I bowed, "I'm sorry! That was so fucking wrong," I whispered the curse and bit my bottom lip. They both shook their heads rapidly when I retracted from my bow.
"It's...fine," Iwaizumi muttered and cleared his throat, "Well, it's getting late now. Do you mind if we get going?"
"No," I shook my head as Oikawa smiled.
"Y/n-chan~, let's exchange contacts," He sweetly smiled and handed me his phone that appeared out of nowhere. Iwaizumi raised his brow but also took his out.
"Oh, sure," I said and took Iwaizumi's phone first.
"Hey, I was first," Oikawa whined.
"Shut up. Wait for your turn," Iwaizumi snapped at him.
I finished his and did the same with Oikawa. He cheered when I finished and raised his phone like it's a precious item.
"Trash," Iwaizumi muttered.
I snickered, "It's fun chatting with the both of you. I'll also get going now."
They both nodded and waved at me as I walked away. The team was already outside waiting for Kiyoko and I.
"Kiyoko, you didn't have to wait for me," I frowned at her.
She shook her head, "I'm a little worried so I figured I'd wait for you. That setter from Seijoh was looking at you like a prey when you weren't looking."
Kiyoko shivered but I shrugged it off. She and I walked outside where the boys were waiting.
"They made it safe," Nishinoya closed his eyes and imaginary light shone from his back, the same happened with Tanaka.
"Stop that, both of you," Sugawara rolled his eyes at them. Kiyoko just sighed and walked to the bus, me slightly behind her.
"L/n-san," Hinata walked beside me to the bus.
"Hi-kun, what is it?" I asked.
He shook his head, "Nothing. I was wondering if you could sit near me."
Hinata pointed both his pointer fingers together and looked down. Not gonna lie, he looks really cute. My heart melted at his cuteness and I gave him a small smile.
"Sure, why not?" I said and he immediately brightened up. Tsukishima who was near us covered his face while grimacing.
"Are you okay, Tsukki?" Yamaguchi frowned.
"Shut up, Yamaguchi," He muttered. I gave Yamaguch a small smile and he smiled back before the duo went to their seats.
Poor Yamaguchi, he was just being concerned.
I did what Hinata said and sat near him, he smiled happily.
"What are you doing?" Kageyama raised a brow at Hinata who hd his knees on his seat while looking at me.
"I'm talking to L/n-san?" Hinata said as if Kageyama had asked a stupid question.
"I know that, dumbass. I meant why are you like that. If the bus jolts you're going to lose balance–not that I care though," He said as he eyed Hinata's position.
"If you're just going to complain like that the whole ride to school–you're more than welcome to give your seat up so L/n can fill it," Hinata snapped at him.
This is bad.
"What did you say?" Kageyama narrowed his eyes at Hinata with a cold stare. Hinata gulped and sat back down.
"Kageyama, Hinata. Stop," I warned them. Kageyama looked at me, his side profile stunning me.
My eyes slightly widened and I looked away, not wanting to blush for no damn reason.
Ew, I hate this.
My lips formed a thin line and Kiyoko asked me if I was okay from the front seats as if sensing my mood. I shook my head and shot her a thumbs up to assure her that I'm fine.
All through out the ride, Kageyama kept glancing back at me but I paid him no mind. I knew that if I get caught up in his stare, I could never look away.
I sighed and rested my head on Sugawara's shoulder. He was sleeping and he had told me earlier that if I'm sleepy, I can always lay my head on his shoulder.
Before I knew it–the hazy darkness engulfed my conciousness, making me succumb to dreamland.
