Y/N'S POV

"Y/n-chan~!"

Kageyama silently scowled when he saw Oikawa cheerfully making his way towards us, an annoyed Iwaizumi by his side.

"Can you tone it down? You're attracting unnecessary attention," Iwaizumi harshly whispered at Oikawa who wore a pout after that.

Oikawa frowned, "You don't need to be mean, Iwa-chan."

"How the hell am I mean–," Iwaizumi growled as an irk formed on his temple.

"Iwaizumi-senpai, Oikawa-senpai," I slightly bowed, interrupting their soon to be quarrel scene.

"Hello," Iwaizumi gave a kind smile.

"Hi Y/n-chan~," Oikawa smiled, ".....And Tobio-chan," He turned to Kageyama with a smile, but a contrasting bitter look on his face.

Woah, hold on. Are they going to fight because of me?? No, no. They're like this since the beginning when they still play together—assuming things isn't necessary. I'm not in some kind of cliché shoujo manga.

"Oikawa-san," Kageyama muttered with his usual small pout as a greeting while his gaze was far from the brunette.

Shit, this is so awkward.

"Um....Tobio, I'll just go and buy something...," I awkwardly gave a short smile before heading off to a candy store nearby.

"Wait, I'll come with–," Both Oikawa and Kageyama said.

"No, I'll go," Oikawa shot him a bitter look.

Tobio frowned, "Oikawa-san, I'm the one who's supposed to take her out. I'll go."

"As far as I know, she's the one who knows places and not you, Tobio-chan. She's in charge, not you," Oikawa gave a bitter smile.

Iwaizumi sighed heavily, "Let's just all go with her. You're making her awkward– not to mention, you're making a scene."

They're right. They were making a scene. I just sweatdropped and let them follow me, feeling a little embarassed because of my height compared to them.

Giants. That's what they are.

I'm tall for my age– I think.

We entered the store, bells ringing and announcing our entrance. Oikawa has sat somewhere claiming he needed to sit down after a long walk. Iwaizumi sat in front of him and making sure he doesn't do something troubling.

I grabbed a few candies, grabbing more when my sweet tooth screamed at me to do so. Kageyama frowned as he stared at two candies on his hands. They were milk candies, honestly they taste the same so I'm really confused why he's having a hard time choosing.

"Tobio, they taste almost the same," I frowned.

He shook his head at me and ushered us to go to the cashier, "It's not that. I contemplated on whether buying Oikawa-san candies or not."

"Huh? What about Iwa-san?" I asked as the cashier collected our (mine) money and made sure it's neatly placed on  a cute plastic.

He adjusted his grip on the cake given to us from the previous froyo server and gripped the other plastic with his other hand. I saw Oikawa scrolling through his phone as Iwaizumi did the same, they must be oblivious to most of the girls here who are staring at them.

"Iwaizumi-san don't eat candy that much, so I figured I won't bother," He said as we walked to them.

"Ohh, so the other packet you bought is for Oikawa then? You decided to buy him some?" I hummed.

He snorted slightly, "Yeah no. Both what I bought is for me."

Kinda expected that..

A sigh just escaped my lips, and finally we reached them. I had asked Iwaizumi if there was anything he liked, but he just shook his head.

"Senpai, here," I gave the brunette a packet of gummy bears when he pretended to be hurt at the fact that Kageyama didn't buy him candies.

He fake sniffled, "Y/n-chan, you're so kind."

Iwaizumi sighed and gave up when I had asked him to try the candies for the nth time. He took a candy and popped it in his mouth before scrolling on his phone again. I must've annoyed him.

Ah, but he had a smile when I gave him the candy. Maybe he liked it?

The four of us just ate a lot of candies with occasional conversations. I never thought I'd let one of my players hang out with players from another team. I wonder if it's fine or not. But then again– we're outside the court. We can be whatever or whoever we wanted to be.

Just because our teams are rivals, that doesn't mean it can hold us back from hanging with each other.

After a while we finally exited the store, Oikawa and Iwaizumi immediately left because the brunette's mom had called. Now it's just me and Kageyama.

"You looked like you had fun with Oikawa-san....in fact you looked like you enjoyed his company more than mine," Kageyama muttered as we walked to the bus stop, ready to go back to his house.

I shrugged nonchalantly, "Did I? Both of you are fun, I'm not really biased."

"I see...," He just nodded as we waited for the next bus to arrive.

The sky was beautiful. It had blue and violet mixed together, and the warm lighting it emits is aesthetically pleasing.

But what I'm more focused at is to him. Kageyama looked really fine in any angle. Do I sound like a creep now?

This is bad. He barely does anything, so why am I getting suggestive thoughts?

I took in his side profile, blinking and roaming my gaze from his jawline to his nose, to his raven hair, and to his plump cheeks.

"Why are you staring?" Kageyama side eyed me. I stopped breathing for a momment before hastily turning away with a blush.

I inhaled, "Nothing. I just don't really have anything to stare at in particular."

"You could've just looked a tthe sky or something."

"Well yeah, but you're captivating."

"..."

I looked at him wide eyed in realization, "I-I mean, you're really hard to not look at?? Because you're tall and all...–"

He smirked at me and looked away, hiding his next expression, "You could've just taken pictures of me then, if you liked my face."

I frowned and stood up when a bus arrived, "No, that's just weird."

He hummed and let me sit first before sitting beside me. His phone pinged and it revealed Hinata texted him, he replied shortly and then looked out the window.

"Let's rest when we get back. After that we'll eat the cake," He mumbled and rested the side of his head to the window, drifting off to sleep.

I just hummed and fiddled with my fingers, the bus driving smoothly with slides of beautiful sceneries passing by.

More time with Kageyama in the future will be interesting, no doubt...

U_U i sincerely apologize to those reders who genuinely are interested in this book, i rarely update because im either tired, focusing on my other stories, and cant think of the next event for the plot.
