11 × dinner
Y/N'S POV
"So, how's school?"
I sipped my tea as Kageyama struggled to respond. My mother ate her rice happily.
Kageyama's parents were away and it was just her sister—her name is Miwa. To be honest, I don't see how she and him are siblings. She's sweet and welcoming–but her brother wasn't. Sure she can be candid but other than that she's a completely venerated person.
"It's all good. For me anyways," I said and took a bite of the salmon. Kageyama sent me a short glare before sighing.
"I'm doing great at club I guess," He muttered as he thrusted a spoonful of curry and rice in his mouth.
Miwa sighed, "I don't just mean your club. I meant your studies as well."
He blinked before shrugging, "It's okay too, I guess."
I gave her a silent thumbs down, indicating that he's not telling the truth. Her eyes widened and twitched.
"Ah, that's okay," My mom softly said with a smile, "Tobio-kun must be having a hard time balancing his club and studies. It's not that easy."
I snickered silently and Tobio shifted beside me while giving me a short glare. Miwa frowned, "I guess it isn't...but that's still not an excuse. He needs to put more effort in his stud–"
"Kageyama-san. Please don't worry too much—I'm a manager for a reason. I'll take care of Kageyama, I promise," I gave a smile even though I'm feeling weirdly annoyed inside. She can't just pressure Kageyama like this, he's doing his best. I think.
"Alright—I'm counting on you. By the way, you can just call us by our names. It's weird and confusing since we're both Kageyama," She smiled and offered me more tea.
I thanked her and eyed Kageyama who had a slight blush on his face. He proceeded to stuff curry in his wild mouth and stayed silent. The tea I drank was really sweet, I can't help but smile and feel fluffy.
The whole dinner consisted of Miwa and my mom conversing like highschool girls—I could tell that Kageyama wanted to get away. The plate of food I was eating on was now clean, so was Tobio's.
"Nee-san, can I go now?" The blueberry asked while standing up.
"Yeah, sure. Y/n, you don't mind hanging out with Tobio in his room right?" She casually asked as my mom wiggled her brows at me.
Suppressing a blush, "Not at all. Thank you for the meal."
I bowed and followed Tobio wherever he went. He opened his door to reveal a nice bedroom with a couple volleyball stuff, and some baby pictures.
I leaned down and inspected one of the pictures. It was him as a kid, tossing the ball with a cute focused expression. A laugh erupted from my mouth when I saw a picture where he got scratched by a cat.
"What's funny," He muttered and moved behind me. My eyes widened as I felt his warm and close proximity.
I immediately straightened up—causing his forehead to bump into the back of my head. I yelped and bowed.
"Sorry!" I squeaked out.
"Honestly...," He rolled his eyes and sighed. The pictures were now facing down as he did the same with the rest.
"What are you doing?" I frowned and crossed my arms.
He crossed his arms and sat on his bed, "I don't want you looking at my childhood pictures."
But you let me look at you shirtless when you change in the gym. I sweatdropped and sighed.
"Okay?" I mumbled and awkwardly stood in the middle of his room. He raised a brow before scooting over and patting the space next to him.
I hesitantly sat beside him and fiddled with my fingers, an awkward silence consuming us. I heard him clear his throat beside me and he stood up.
"Tobio?" I asked.
He stiffened up for a second but looked at me anyway, "What?"
I tilted my head to ask him what he was going to do and he just shrugged before grabbing his yoga mat.
He neatly set it down on the ground as I looked at him weirdly. The mat was clean and blue, it looked inviting to sit on.
Tobio removed his hoodie infront of me, almost completely revealing his toned stomach underneath his white shirt. I looked away, but glanced respectfully.
"Help me stretch," He huffed as he threw the hoodie beside me.
"Excuse me?" I dumbfoundedly asked.
He frowned, "Did you not hear me? I said help me stretch."
"Wait, why would I?" My brow reached the ceiling as I pointed to myself.
"So we could do something. And, well, you're my manager," He shrugged casually and laid on the mat, knees bent.
I frowned, "Uh, okay."
"Hold my feet down. I'll be doing sit ups."
I did what he said while I was on my knees. He let out a soft sigh before pushing himself up. My eyes almost popped out of their sockets when his face went near mine.
Something unfamiliar glinted in his eyes and laid back again. The process repeats like usual, and with every sit up he does, my face grew redder.
"What's wrong? You're red right now," He raised a brow—obviously oblivious that I was flustered.
"N-Nothing's wrong," I bit my bottom lip and cringed internally at my stutter.
"Oh, okay," He said and sat up, his face was almost near mine.
"Let's do different positions," He casually said. My face heated up.
Bakageyama!
He frowned at me and used both his hands as support behind him, revealing a little bit of his stomach. His shorts were slightly pulled back as it revealed his thick thighs.
My nose almost bled as I hurriedly stood up—but of course I tripped in the process. Before I could fall completely, Tobio caught me between his legs. His hands supported my shoulders and our faces were a few inches away.
"Eep! Sorry!" I stammered and stood up stiffly.
"What's gotten into you? Don't tell me you're..," He paused, "What's that word Tanaka-senpai used? Ah right," He tilted his head at me with a confused expression, "Are you turned on by me, L/n?"
My whole body burned as I hastily took his pillow and threw it at his head. I subconciously sat on his lap as I continuedly hit his face with the pillow.
"Stupid! Idiot! Dumbass! Pervert!" I freaked out.
He was struggling to respond with my hits and he accidentally gripped my behind, making me freeze with the pillow I was holding in mid-air.
Tobio's eyes widened as he blushed slightly, "Oh, sorry."
I awkwardly stopped breathing as he breathed in and out. He reached for the pillow and smacked my head with it. It wasn't hard, but it was enough to make me fall on my back.
He pulled me up by my waist while I still sat on his lap. He was now sitting up straight as he used his hands to support my back. A frown idled on his mouth.
"What the hell was that for? I was just asking a simple question." He casually said.
I narrowed my eyes at him and crossed my arms, "You don't know the two different meanings of the phrase 'turned on'."
"Enlighten me then," He lowly said as he pulled me closer on his lap.
"Wait before that—are you seriously dense to our position right now??" I raised a brow.
He tilted his head to the side, "What about it? We're both just sitting."
"I–," I blinked and sighed to the side, "Nevermind. You're just a kid after all."
His face grew slightly darker as he leaned close beside my ear, "I said, enlighten me," He pulled back, our faces close to each other.
Before I could respond, the door opened.
