Love. (Carrie x Fem!Reader)

I'm finally back at writing yaaay. Requested by xEmoxPsychox . Based off the 2013 version but you can pretend whatever you want. Also, sorry for the wait!

This was my 11th time transferring schools, believe it or not.

Everywhere I went, my dad always found a way to get fired from his job, and had to search for a new job.

This time, he started to work at an animal shelter. Hopefully he'll be able to keep that job. I've visited it once or twice, the people there are surprisingly nice and I get to pet the animals there.

Anyways, this time I was going to Ewen Highschool. Not gonna lie, I was beyond nervous.

I wasn't normally this nervous when transferring schools, but for some reason.. I was this time.

I sighed then shook myself from my thoughts, and looked up at the school. Hopefully, things will be okay.

I enter the school, and it was probably louder than any other school I've been to.

I looked around. Girls were huddled together, I automatically knew they were the popular girls. Boys wrestling in the hallway, probably the jocks.

But one thing caught my eye.

There was spray paint on a locker, written in messy handwriting it said, "CaRRie WhitE EaTs ShiT."

I didn't know who this girl was, but I automatically felt bad for her. I sighed then shook my head, and walked to the office.

"Are you Y/N L/N?"

I nod my head, clutching onto the straps of my backpack.

The principal looked through some papers, then picked up a phone. "Sue Snell to the front office."

A few minutes later, a tall blonde walked into the office, nervously playing with her hair. "Yes?"

"This is Y/N. Show her around." He bluntly said, then went back to typing on his computer.

She looked over at me and waved. "Hi. I'm Sue."

"Hi." I looked up at her.

"You're new, right?"

I nod. "Yeah, this is the eleventh school I've transferred to."

"Holy shit, really?" Sue's eyes widen.

"Yeah." I awkwardly chuckle, and we start walking around the school.

"That's crazy." She mumbled. "A-anyways, welcome to hell otherwise known as school."

"It seems like it." We walk past the girls locker again with spray paint written across it. "Hey Sue?" I stopped at her locker.

"Hmmm?" She stopped beside me.

"Who's Carrie?" I looked at the locker. I felt terrible even though I didn't even know her, no one should be going through this.

"O-oh." She shuffles her feet. "She gets bullied.. a lot. As you can tell."

"Gosh.." I bit my lip. "What's she look like?" I ask, hoping to recognize her if I see her anywhere.

"You'll get made fun of if you're even seen with her." Sue mumbled. "— I'm not saying don't hang out with her, she honestly does need friends. But still.."

"Oh well." I shrugged. "She needs a friend and I'll give her one."

Sue smiled at me. "The world needs more people like you.."

I simply smiled back. "Thank you, Sue."

She ran her fingers through her hair then looked away from the locker. "It's study hall so she should be in the library."

"Mkay, lead me there?" I asked, still holding onto my backpack.

"Mhmm." She hums, then starts walking to the library with me trailing behind her.

"That's her." She looked pointed in the direction of a pretty girl. Her hair colour was blonde but was a bit darker than Sue's, yet it still looked pretty in my opinion.

"I — wow she's pretty." I mumble which earned a giggle from Sue.

"You just met her, I don't think a relationship would start that quickly."

I felt heat rise into my face. "Shut up!"

"Don't worry, just give it time." She smirked then elbowed me.

"I just said she's pretty." I mumble. "That's all I said."

Sue chuckled. "We could continue the tour tomorrow if you wanna hang out with her?"

"Sure!" I nod. "So should I just — walk up to her?"

"She's shy. I'm just going to say that, so be.." She paused, as if finding the right word to say, "Gentle."

I bit my lip then nod, I waved at Sue one last time before walking over to Carrie. "Hi."

She tensed up then looked up at me with wide eyes. "H-hi."

"You're Carrie, right?"

She blinked a few times. "..Y-you got my name right?"

I tilt my head then nod. "I think I did."

"N-no no you did." She looked at her feet then quietly said, "Why are you talking to me..?"

"You look like you needed a friend." I lightly said, which earned a small smile from her. It was barley noticeable, though.

"Th..thank you." Carrie finally looked at me and not at the floor or off to the side. "It means a lot."

"You're welcome." I smiled at her. "What're you reading?"

She tensed up again then looked down at her book. "I-it's about t-telekinesis."

"That's cool! Honestly, if I had any power I'd have telekinesis." I look at the book in front of her as well.

"R-really..?! I mean,, it is cool." Carrie said, she smiled a little as well. Her eyes then widen. "You shouldn't be hanging out with me."

"What? Why?" I was genuinely confused, I honestly did want to hang out with Carrie, and not just out of pity.

She seemed visibly relieved for some reason. "I-.. they'll make fun of you." She whispered. "And I don't want that." She looked off to the side, her blue eyes sparkled with worry.

"I don't care what they say." I gently take her hands in mine earning a squeak and a flustered look from her.

"But I don't want you getting h-hurt." Carrie muttered, her hair falling over her face.

"I won't. And if I do, which I'm pretty sure I won't, it'll be worth it because I'll have you as my friend, right?"

Carrie smiled, her whole face seemed so light up. "..You're so nice.. and.. yes I'd love to be your friend." She looked at me then squeezed my hand.

A few months went by and Carrie and I started getting closer and closer. She slowly started opening up to me. I learnt about her mom and how she's.. not the best person, to say the least.

And she's amazing to say the least. She makes me beyond happy, and.. I honestly love her.

And we were going to have a sleepover at my house tonight since her mom was out of town, you could tell she was beyond excited once I offered it.

School seemed to go on for forever, but luckily it finally ended and Carrie and I walked to my house together, holding hands and we were swinging them back and forth.

"I'm so excited." Carrie grinned. "You know, I've never been to someone's house before." She looked over at me.

"Really?" I tilted my head. "Well, it's pretty fun. I bet you'll like it — are you planning on sleeping over or..?"

"I want to stay over." She bit her lip. "I-if that's okay with you."

"Of course it is." I smiled at her. "It'll be fun!"

"I bet it will be." Carrie grinned.

We continued walking until we got to my house, which Carrie looked completely shocked to see. "Woah! Your house is amazing!"

"Thanks." I said, a bit confused then I remembered her home life and how creepy her house looked.

We entered my house and Carrie looked around it with awe, I giggle at her and she looks at me then blushes.

"Also.. I need to tell you something important." Carrie whispers once we got to my bedroom.

"What?" I looked over at her, my eyebrows furrowed together.

"N-nevermind." She squeaked, and looked down.

"No, no you can tell me." I gently said and she frantically shook her head.

"You'll hate me." She mumbled. "You'll think I'm a freak. Like everyone else." Tears sprung into her eyes and the lights flickered.

"Carrie, there's no way I could hate you." I pulled her into a hug. "And you're no where near a freak. They're just jealous."

She sniffled then buried her face into my neck. "Thank you.. s-so much."

"Mhmmm, it's true." I ran my fingers through her blonde hair which earned a hum from her.

"A-anyways." She pulled back after a while, and she looked at me. "Promise you won't hate me..?"

"I promise. We can even pinkie promise."

Carrie frantically nods then holds out her pinkie and I locked them together, which she grinned at.

"Okay." She breathes then looks around the room then holds out her hand.

Just then a flower from my vase started floating in midair, I look over at Carrie in shock, then back at the flower. The flower then floated to Carrie.

"I have uhm.. telekinesis." She tucked the flower behind my ear and I blushed. "And I sometimes can read people's minds.. not a lot but sometimes."

"That's actually really cool!" I looked at her in awe.

"R-really?" She slowly met my gaze.

"Mhmmm! Really." I smiled at her. "In fact I wish I had it myself."

"You don't know how much that means to me." Carrie slowly started to grin, she then tackled me into a hug, where she was on top of me. And of course, I blushed.

"Your face is red." Carrie said, her head tilted.

I blushed even more if possible. "I-I'm blushing."

"O-oh." Carrie blinked a few times. "Well, it's cute."

I whined and shook my head. "It's not. It's embarrassing."

"It's cute. You're cute." Carrie blurted which she blushed as well. "S-sorry.."

"Not as cute as you."

She squeaked then covered her face with her hair. "Staahhhpp!"

I moved the hair out of her face. "Hi."

She blushed bright red. "H-hi." She then looked off to the side.

"Hey Carrie?" I lightly say.

Carrie looks over at me. "Yeah?"

"I think I like you."

"I like you too, Y/N."

"No no." I bit my lip. "As in.. like like you."

"I know." Carrie shyly smiled, then wrapped her arms around me and I laid my head on her chest.

We stayed like that for a bit until I spoke up, "I love you Carrie." I looked up at her. "I— sorry if that was too early.

"No, no." She shook her head. "I've loved you since we first met. You're late." She grins.

I grinned as well. "Well, I'll definitely make up for it."

"Me too." Carrie pulled me closer, laying her head on mine.
