A Happy Ending. (Chris x Sue x Carrie)

I literally rewrote this four times so sorry for the wait lol. Requested by 523656mjg . And special thank you to cured-sexy-cancer for helping me with this.

It's been odd. Carrie used to be the most hated person at school, when Chris and Sue, the two most popular girls in school suddenly started talking to her.

Don't get her wrong, she loved hanging out with them. In fact she's never been so happy.

Chris was sort of nice. She still had her rude, sarcastic comments though.

Sue was even nicer if possible. She would rush over and hug Carrie if she had the slightest frown on her face.

Anyways, It was a normal day. Carrie keeping to herself, Sue checking up on her every now and then, and Chris randomly grabbing onto Carrie in some way, basically her way of being affectionate without saying anything.

It was currently gym class. Which, Carrie hated deeply. The only thing she actually liked about it was Ms. Collins. But she wasn't really part of gym.

Carrie didn't like running, sports, or anything like that. She'd much rather be in the library, reading, while minding her own business.

But study hall wasn't until the end of the day. But at least that was something Carrie could look forward to.

Right now she was sitting down, panting heavily. She didn't run as fast as the other girls, yet she was out of breath. It was embarrassing.

But she didn't have to worry about being bullied as much, though. For Chris always snapped at anyone who did and Sue always found a way to cheer Carrie up again. Each time that would happen, Carrie would say they didn't have to do that but Chris would always respond with, "I don't want you to go through that again," and Sue would usually hug her tighter.

Oh how grateful Carrie was for the two. She was so busy in a thought she didn't see Sue rush up to Carrie and hug her.

Carrie squealed as she picked her up and spun her around. "Put me down!" She giggled, squirming in her grip.

She grinned then sat her down. And as if in cue, Chris walked up to them as well, giving Carrie's hand a quick squeeze. "I hate gym class." She grumbled, running her fingers through her hair since it was all messed up.

"Uh-huh.. it's really hard.. and it's icky." Carrie murmured earning quiet giggles from the two.

"Next period's lunch," Sue said. "Which, is way better then gym." She smiled.

"Mhmmm." Carrie smiled shyly.

The bell rang, indicating it was lunch time. As embarrassing as it was, Carrie always flinched when she heard the loud bell.

Chris quietly laughed, then wrapped her arm around her waist, Carrie smiled up at her.. and she smiled back, her snarky attitude seemingly melted away in that moment.

Sue awkwardly laughed then stood in front of the two. "Uhmm.. lets go?"

Chris cleared her throat then nodded, pulling back from Carrie.

They all then walk off to the cafeteria.

The three all stood in the lunch line, Carrie holding Chris's hand and her head on Sue's shoulder.

She always got a weird, fluttery feeling when she did this or when they had any physical contact. She liked the feeling. But it just felt odd.

The three finally got their lunch, and they sat down where Carrie normally sat. They didn't know it, but that meant so much to Carrie.

They actually cared.

Chris and Sue sat on one side and Carrie on the other.

And the first thing Carrie noticed was tension.

There was tension. There's been tension between the two lately. And Carrie didn't know why. But it bothered her. She wanted to do something but she didn't want to bug them, it was probably just her being clingy, as always. They were her only friends after all.

Carrie sighed then picked at her food, moving her long hair to where it covered her face even more.

Lunch continued to drag on, seemingly taking forever until Sue broke the silence, "Are you okay, Carrie?" Sue looked up from her food.

"Oh yeah." She quietly said, nodding her head. "Just thinking."

"You can talk to me if you want." Sue reached over to grab her hand.

Chris glanced over at Sue then at Carrie, "Mhmm. Me too."

Of course, Carrie blushed. She was one of those people that if you gave the simplest compliment to her, she'd blush.

"Awwh.. you're so cute, Carrie." Sue hummed, a sweet smile graced her face.

Chris pulled her hand to her lips and kissed it. "Very."

Carrie blushed even more. She was bright red at this point. It felt as if millions of butterflies were flapping around in her stomach. "T-thank you guys.. b-but why're you b-being so nice?"

"No reason." Chris shrugged, a small smirk playing at her lips. Suddenly the bell rang. And of course, Carrie jumped.

She quickly gathered her stuff, then looked at the two. "I'm gonna go to class now," She did a small wave. "Bye."

"I can walk you to class, if you'd like." Sue gently asked and Chris glanced her way, looking slightly upset.

"Uh.. maybe? I mean I'd like to but I don't wanna bother you." She shyly said. Her confidence seemingly melted away in the moment.

"Huh? You would never bother me." Sue hummed. "Really though, are you alright?"

Carrie didn't know how to respond. She was fine. But she wanted to ask them about the tension.. she bit her lip then nodded. "Yes I'm fine."

"Promise?"

"Yeah."

"Okay." Sue sighed then pulled Carrie in for a quick hug. "I'll walk you to class. Alright?"

"Mhmmm. Okay." Carrie looked over at Chris. "Bye."

Chris waved, "Bye." She was obviously jealous. But Carrie was too oblivious to see it.

She looked at Chris one last time before letting Sue take her to class.

The next few classes went by in a blur, thankfully. And now it was finally study hall, which Carrie actually liked.

She mindlessly bit at her nails while reading about telekinesis. She still couldn't believe it was real. But she was.. sorta happy? Yet she was also a bit upset she actually had powers.

Her eyes scanned across the page until Chris and Sue suddenly burst into the library earning a bunch of people to shush them. Carrie looked up, her head tilted, confused.

"Carrie." Chris walked up to the shorter girl. "We need to talk."

She tensed up but nodded, automatically assuming whatever they were about to say, would be terrible. What if they didn't want to be her friend anymore? "O-okay." She stood up then quickly checked the book out, and followed them out of the library.

They led her to the girls locker room and to the very corner of the room. "Uhm.." Sue looked beyond nervous. "Sorry for uh - dragging you out."

"I—it's fine." Carrie stuttered, "What were you guys going to s-say?"

Sue uneasily looked over at Chris. She obviously didn't want to say it. Chris grumbled then crosses her arms. "We both like you." She bluntly said.

"Huh!?" Carrie yipped. No. No, no, this is just a prank. "W—"

"Uh, don't freak out." Chris muttered.

"We won't be mad if you don't like one of us.. or either of us." Sue was already regretting the decision.

"Mhmmm, yeah." Chris hummed, biting at her lip.

Carrie was bewildered. She didn't know how to respond. She was completely shocked and scared. "I.. I.. I gotta go." She teared up then ran off.

Chris and Sue both looked at each other, regret evident in their expressions.

Carrie did not look forward for school today.

She didn't know if it was a prank. And how would she know if she liked one of them back? And even if she did, she would be hurting the others feelings. The more she thought about it, the more upset she got.

Carrie opened the door school, heading right towards her locker to put her stuff away.

School seemed to drag on forever. She didn't talk to Sue or Chris as she usually did.

She wanted to burst into tears. She messed up. She should've denied them or something instead of running off like the coward she is.

It was currently gym class and Carrie was sitting down at a bench, her hair falling over her face as always. She sighed, then let tears finally flow down her freckled face. She sniffled then wiped her tears. She missed them. She missed Sue and Chris.

"Carrie?"

She looked up to see Ms. Collins standing there, concern written over her face. "Is everything alright?"

Carrie faintly shook her head. Ms. Collins sat down beside her. "What's wrong?"

"I-It's nothing." Carrie whispered, running her fingers through her hair.

"It's obviously something!" Ms. Collins looked over at her. "Was it one of the girls?"

She directed her gaze to the floor. "Technically, yeah." She paused. "But it was my fault."

"Well if they bullied you then it wasn't their fault-"

"They didn't bully me." More tears streamed down her face. "Both Chris and Sue said they like me a-and I don't know if it's a p-prank. And even if I did l-like them back I wouldn't know how to tell if I did."

Ms. Collins smiled at Carrie. "Oh, well, I bet it isn't a prank."

"H-how do you know?" Carrie looked up at Ms. Collins. She's been bullied, tricked, and hurt her whole life. It was obvious she'd have trust issues.

"Sue and Chris have changed." She placed her hand on Carrie's shoulder. "I can tell. They really do care for you."

Carrie smiled faintly then nodded, slightly convinced. "Okay. I believe you. And them."

"Now. You said you didn't know if you like them back?"

"Oh no no-"

"Do you get sorta.. a fluttery feeling when you're around one of them?" She explained it the best of her ability so Carrie could understand.

Carrie nodded her head, already embarrassed with the current conversation. "But that's normal, right? I get a fluttery feeling around both of them."

"Uh. Do your thoughts constantly drift to them?"

Once again, Carrie nodded her head.

Ms. Collins continued asking Carrie funny questions until she was finally positive that she liked them both. "Carrie?"

"Hm?"

"I think you like them both."

"What!?" Carrie yelped. "How's that possible?"

Ms. Collins shrugged, before sighing. "You can't control the way you feel, Carrie."

Carrie looked into space, thinking the whole situation over. After a moment, she looked back at the gym teacher. "What should I do?"

"I suggest you tell them." Ms. Collins said, "I think that's the best thing for you to do."

Carrie tensed up, but nodded anyways. She could trust Ms. Collins. She wouldn't lie to her. "O-okay..."

"I believe in you, silly Carrie."

At study hall, Carrie somehow managed to gather the them both together. It took her a lot of confidence to do so, and hopefully it'll turn out well.

Carrie took a deep breath and stayed silent for a moment, still shocked she was actually going through with this.

"Well?" Chris looked at Carrie, her hand on her hip.

Carrie bit her lip. "I like you both." She murmured, surprisingly not stuttering.

And somehow, Chris and Sue heard her. The two stayed silent. And Carrie almost burst into tears again.

"S-sorry I-"

The two rushed at her for a group hug. Carrie squealed then hugged them back, tears now streaming down her face. But it was.. happy tears.

"We could have a poly relationship." Chris made it sound like she was joking.. but she secretly wasn't, as embarrassing as it was.

"..No, no.. I actually like that idea.." Sue shyly said while looking down, a blush spreading across her face.

"What's a poly?" The shorter girl asked, still blushing. She was.. unbelievably happy.

"It's sorta like three people in a relationship." Chris slowly explained, a blush now spreading across her face.

"Oh." Carrie nodded her head, a huge grin making its way onto her face. "I would love that."

The rest of the study hall, the three spent their time in the library with Carrie quietly reading aloud to them.

It seemed like something from a made up book Carrie would sneak when she was little. Except this was real, she was finally happy with Susan Snell and Chris Hargensen.
