"BOYS ARE INCREDIBLY STUPID AREN'T THEY?"

Astoria Greengrass was a shy girl. Her parents know that ( they absolutely hate it ) and her sister Daphne knew how much she liked to keep to herself. But when she befriended Celeste, she didn't imagine befriending other people as well.

In some way, Celeste felt protective over her. Just like how she was with Ginny.

"Pansy Parkinson. Of all people Pansy ── unbelievable. Boys are stupid. Except for Cedric of course." Celeste quipped.

The Greengrass sighed dramatically, "Wish I could find a Cedric. Unfortunately, mine's platinum blond and needs his ego checked."

Hermione caught up with them slinging her bag over her shoulder, "I cannot stand Snape. What's the point of asking a question and getting yelled at when somebody answers it?"

Leslie was trailing behind her, "Dumbledore really needs to think about people he hires." she grumbled.

They spotted Cedric and Diana walking towards them and immediately the boy and girl became shy.

"Hey,"

"Hi."

"For fucks sake go make out in a broom closet or something." Diana groaned.

Hermione swatted her arm, "Seriously?"

Celeste shot her friends a glare before Cedric guided her towards the Great Hall. The girls all smirked and waved dramatically, getting much attention from others.

"Diana has no filter," Cedric commented once they were out of earshot.

"Tell me about it." Celeste chuckled and watched him pull out a rectangular box. "My mum sent this to me yesterday. She wanted you to wear it."

Celeste opened the box to reveal a beautiful necklace.

"I ── I can't take this, it's your mums."

"My mum loves you."

Sofia Diggory can say she grew fond of her over the summer. Even before his son introduced her, he wrote letters about the girl that captured his attention.

Amos over the summer dinners would tell her stories about her mother when she worked at the Ministry.

"But it must mean a lot to her," Celeste argued, only for Cedric to dismiss her and place the necklace around her neck.

"And now it belongs to you." Cedric pointed out. He found her rambling adorable. He couldn't wait for tonight.

Celeste stared at the dress in awe. For some reason, it seemed awfully familiar. The dress rang familiar to her and finally realized why the dress seemed to be so special.

Flipping through her mother's scrapbook she found the beautiful dress worn by Reyna. Beside her was Sirius Black sporting a flirtatious grin, looking at some girl rather than the camera. Then there was Regulus with his scowl ( No doubt by Sirius ).

She let out a chuckle. Though, her eyes trail back to the youthful boy glaring into the photo. Almost as if he was staring deep into her soul.

It was a beautiful long sleeve baby blue tulle dress that reached down to the floor.

She decided that it was finally time to get ready and stop waiting around.

Celeste came down the stairs to find Draco already there. Pansy was nowhere to be seen. She was probably waiting for him at the Great Hall entrance.

"Isn't your date waiting for you?" Celeste asked with a smirk. "Or did you decide to man up and ask Astoria to the ball instead? Otherwise, fuck off."

He let out a frustrated sigh as he fixed his tie, "The only reason I'm going with Pansy is that father made me ask her in the first place. You know how much they don't approve of the Greengrass'. It sucks that I can't be with the girl I like."

The Black softened by this and embraced him, "I'm sorry ──"

"Don't be. I shouldn't have even listened in the first place. Now she's going with Warrington. He's the seventh year and she's a third-year." he protested.

"Hey, I'm going with a sixth year." Celeste countered, but she had to admit it was a bit weird. "But they are going as friends."

Draco seemed relieved by that but didn't show it. Unfortunately, he could never hide it from Celeste, who knew him all too well.

"Let's go, I feel like Professor Snape would hunt us down."

Celeste rolled her eyes, "Correction, he'll hunt me down."

"Dammit, I should've worn the flats."

Draco snickered, "Stop being a baby."

"Says the pussy that got a little scratch from the Hippogriff and pretended that it hurt so much to avoid playing Quidditch games. Oh, and did I forget how you dressed up as a dementor because you were threatened by Harry's Quidditch skills as a Seeker?" Celeste retorted.

Her cousin let out a gasp of betrayal and hurt. "Now that's way too far!"

When they arrived Celeste squealed at the sight of Hermione. The Granger's eyes shimmered at the sight of her best friend and ran over and began gushing over her.

"Damn Cece, you are gorgeous! You almost want me to dump Viktor and take you instead."

"I would be offended but I can't say I blame her if she does," Viktor stated.

"What a bold thing to say, Granger," Draco commented, quite astounded by her new attitude.

Since when did Granger have an interested in girls?

"Champion dates stay outside while the champions are in the Great Hall according to Professor McGonagall."

"Then that's my cue to leave ── and there's a lover boy."

Cedric arrived and became flustered, "You look gorgeous."

"I always look gorgeous," Celeste stated in a matter-of-fact tone.

The Hufflepuff began to panic, "Of course you do!"

Her face broke into laughter, "I ── I was just kidding with you."

Hermione gave her a look, "Stop teasing him."

Celeste gave her an eye roll but smiled, "And you cleaned up well . . . if anything I'm surprised that Harry dressed up correctly."

In the corner were Harry and Parvarti standing there. Even Parvarti seemed in awe of Hermione and Celeste's appearance.

"They're so pretty . . . and those dresses!"

Harry didn't say anything, he was too busy watching Celeste's twinkling eyes peering up at Cedric.

He wished that he didn't have to act like such an arse. Things could've been different but instead, he had to screw things up.
