"I'm positively sure that Cedric and Celeste are not in a relationship." Ron Weasley declared. "She would've told me."
Which is true. Celeste usually tells Ron her secrets first before telling Hermione or Harry. Maybe it's the fact that they both shared the insecurity of not living up to expectations.
Even he wondered about Celeste's relationship with the handsome Hufflepuff boy.
"Isn't it obvious that Cedric likes Celeste? I mean she's at least a quarter veela. But despite that, she's always been beautiful, cunning, smart, but a wonderful girl with a big heart." Hermione watched the scene of Cedric, Leslie, Diana, and Celeste talking.
There was something about Celeste Black that attracted people. Not because of her Veela charm ─ she would never use it on anyone, but because she was beautiful. Harry had never seen anyone so perfect.
She stuck by him when Dudley and his gang would bully him and related to him more than anyone.
"Yeah she's amazing isn't she?" Harry Potter asked no one in particular, watching Celeste throw her head back in laughter at something Diana said.
His friends watched their friend dreamily watch Celeste Black and shook their heads.
"He's totally in love with her," Ron commented.
"Of course he is! I can never imagine Harry with anyone but Celeste." Angelina Johnson added.
As the next day was Saturday, most students normally head to breakfast late. The Goblet of Fire had been the talk all week. There was a thin line traced on the floor to form a circle teen foot around it in every direction.
"Anyone put their name in yet?" Ron asked a third-year eagerly.
"All the Dumstrang lot," she replied. "But I haven't seen anyone from Hogwarts yet."
"I hope Diana gets it," Celeste smirked. How it would be amazing for female representation for the cup. She was going to secretly root for Beauxbatons chosen champion as well.
"Bet some of them put it in last night after we'd all gone to bed," said Harry. "I would've if It had been me . . . wouldn't want to have everyone watching. What if the goblet just gobbed you right back out again."
Celeste laughed picturing it. "I wouldn't want to put my name in." her attention snapped to where the Weasley twins and Lee Jordan hurried down the staircase all excited.
"Done it," Ferd said in a triumphant whisper to Celeste, Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
"What?"
"The Aging Potion, dung brains," said Fed.
"One drop each. We only need to be a few months older."
Celeste smacked her head against her forehead and sighed loudly, "Oh bloody hell you two are stuck trying to put your name in?"
"I"m not sure this is going to work, you know." Hermione said warningly "I'm sure Dumbledore will have thought of this."
Fred, George, and Lee ignored her.
"Ready?" Fred said to the other two, quivering with excitement. "C'mon then ─ i'll go first ─"
Harry watched in fascination as Celeste looked ready to pounce at the idiots.
Every eye was on the twins. Fred pulled out a parchment with his name on it. He stepped forward over the line.
For a split second the Potter thought it would work but the smirk on Celeste's face told him otherwise, "Wait for it."
The next moment later there was a loud sizzling sound and both twins were hurled out of the golden circle. They landed painfully ten feet on the stone-cold floor, and there was a loud popping noise.
Both of them were spouting long beards.
The entrance rang with laughter even Fred and George joined in.
"I did warn you," a deep amusing voice, and everyone turned to see Professor Dumbledore come out of the Great Hall. "I suggest you both go up to Madam Pomfrey."
"Wait, I want my money!"
The twins grumbled and placed a couple of Galleons in her hand and went to go to the hospital wing accompanied by Lee who wouldn't stop howling with laughter.
"Now that's over with, let's eat."
"You are sitting with us?" Harry asked, surprised with a twinge of excitement.
"Yeah," Celeste nodded with a slight smile.
The Gryffindors made room for the golden quartet and greeted Celeste.
"There's a rumor going around that Warrington got up early and put his name in."
Celeste cringed, knowing who Warrington was. After all, he tried to ask her out on a date but Draco got in the way thankfully.
"We can't have a Slytherin champion!"
"What's that supposed to mean?" barked Celeste with angry eyes. Harry gulped and immediately apologized. "Just because some bad people were in Slytherin doesn't mean that any other Slytherin is just automatically evil."
She rolled her eyes and went back to sipping her coffee. Her friends truly are gits sometimes.
"Sorry," Harry murmured.
"And all the Hufflepuffs are talking about Diggory." said Seamus, "Celeste you're close with him right?"
"He's my neighbor, of course, I know him."
All the Gryffindor girls all gaped at the Black
"No way! I'm jealous." Angelina Johnson commented on earning some looks from George.
"Diana and Cedric, are best friends you know? She visited over the summer." Celeste added, knowing that the twins weren't close.
Angelina's eyes blinked and tried to hide the sadness. "I know, she stayed at my Grandmother's place . . . she seemed eager to leave."
She knew Angelina meant well and that it wasn't her fault that her parents wouldn't get their heads out of their arses and realize that their daughter isn't going to be a Death Eater just because she's in Slytherin.
"I put my name in and so did Diana. I hope she gets it." Angelina perked up at that.
"Well I'm glad someone from Gryffindor and Slytherin is entering," Hermione said. She then becomes excited at something and turns to Celeste.
"Celeste Black you are joining S.P.E.W." Hermione smacked the badge on her uniform leaving her surprised.
She peered down and widened. "SPEW?"
"Hermione's fighting for House Elves' rights and for them to get paid." Ron munched on his toast. "What a load of ─"
"I'll join!" Celeste flattened her badge and sported a wide grin. She has loved the House Elves ever since she met Dobby.
The Golden Quartet paid a visit to Hagrid who was all dressed up for something. Hermione was happily chirping in about S.P.E.W and even Celeste popped in some of her opinions on it.
Soon they realized that Hagrid was dressed up for Madam Maxime. Beauxbatons Headmistress which Celeste and Hermione found adorable and sweet.
When they entered the candlelit Great Hall it was almost full. The Goblet of Fire had been moved so it was now in front of the teacher's table.
Celeste went to sit with Harry despite the disapproving looks shot by her Slytherin friends.
The Halloween feast seemed to have taken longer and everyone was getting impatient at Dumbledore's delay.
"What's taking him so long?" grumbled Draco with folded arms.
"I feel like he's eating slow on purpose."
At long last, the golden plates returned to their original spotless state. On either side of him, Professor Karkaroff and Madame Maxime looked tense and poised as expected of everyone. Ludo Bagman was beaming and winking at various students.
Then there was Me. Crouch, however, who looked quite uninterested, almost bored.
Celeste had mixed feelings about the man. Remus told her that her mother really never liked him when she was an Auror for a short time after she was born.
"Well, the Goblet is almost ready to make its decision," said Dumbledore. "I estimate that it requires one more minute. Now, when the champions' names are called, I would ask them to please come up to the top of the Hall, walk along with the staff table, and go through into the next chamber--" he indicated to the door behind the staff table. "Where they will receive their first instructions.
The candles, plates, pumpkins, were all disappearing. The Goblet of Fire now shown brighter than anything in the whole Hall, the sparkling bright light bluey whiteness of flames almost painful on the eyes. Everyone watched, waiting.
"Any second . . ." Theo whispered.
Just then sparks began to fly from the goblet. A tongue flame shot into the air to reveal a charred piece of parchment fluttering out of it.
Dumbledore caught it and held it at arm's length. "The champion for Dumstrang," he read in a strong voice, "Will be Viktor Krum."
"No surprises there!" Yelled Ron as a storm of applause and cheering swept the hall. Viktor rose up from the Slytherin table and slouched up toward Dumbledore. He disappeared into the next chamber.
"Bravo Viktor! Knew you had it in you!"
Many rolled their eyes. It was so wrong to have favorite students and make it obvious to the public.
Seconds later another piece of parchment propelled by the flames.
"The champion for Beauxbatons is Fluer Delacour!"
This time Celeste cheered loudly.
A graceful silvery blonde hair swept up between the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff table.
When Fleur vanished to the table another piece of paper appeared and Dumbledore pulled apart the parchment.
"The Hogwarts champion is Cedric Diggory!"
Celeste jumped up from her seat and cheered. Every single Hufflepuff was jumping on his or her feet.
His head snapped to where Celeste was sitting and gave her thumbs up. Celeste shook her head and smiled brightly.
Cedric shot her one last grin and went into the chamber. Wolf whistles can be heard from some of his Hufflepuff friends smirking between Cedric and Celeste.
"Excellent!" Dumbledore called happily as at last the tumult died down. "Well, we now have our three champions. I am sure I can count upon all of you, including the remaining students from Beauxbatons and Dumstrang, to give your champions every ounce of support you can muster. By cheering your champion on, you will contribute in a very real ─"
He stopped speaking when the Fire of Goblet turned red again. A long flame shot suddenly into the air, and borne upon it was another piece of parchment.
Dumbledore reached out for it and stared at the name written on it. There was a long pause and everyone stared at him.
He cleared his throat and read it out loud ─
"Harry Potter ─"
From that moment Celeste felt her heart stop.

Hi everyone, I hope you enjoyed the forty. Now some of you might be wondering why I didn't make Celeste participate in the Triwizard tournament.
The answer is quite simple. THREE Hogwarts Champions seem overboard and unfairly compared to Dumstrang and Beauxatons.
