"Ow!"

"Sorry,"

Celeste tried to dab ointment cream Madam Pomfrey made for the Potter who was assigned bed rest for the rest of the weekend. He didn't necessarily argue or complain, but he was sulking over the loss of his broom.

"I'll buy you a new one." Celeste said, "I'm rich to the point where I just found out that I have other vaults that belonged to my parents. A couple of coins over a new broomstick is no big deal to me."

The Black was never to flaunt over her riches, but she'll use her money on purposeful things to make others around her happy. Celeste was taught by Arabella to always be careful about what to spend.

"It's honestly fine," said Harry. Madam Pomfrey knew that it was no use sending Celeste away.

For Sirius Black, James Potter, and Reyna Black were the same when it comes to Remus Lupin.

"Harry...we both saw the Grim...we can't hide this any longer."

"It's not a big deal." Harry shrugged.

Celeste was still over her head over the fact that the unknown screams were none other than both their mothers.

Everyone told them that Dementors were horrible but no one has collapsed to hear echoes in their heads of their dying parents.

"I can't believe we didn't realize it sooner..." Celeste sat on Harry's bed with dark circles still under her eyes. She found it hard to sleep knowing that if she did, the sounds of her mother's scream will come back to her mind.

"...do you think they suffered?" asked Harry meekly. The truth is he wanted to forget what he heard but the sound of his mother's voice would leave him wide-eyed and unable to fall asleep as well.

Black shrugged, also wondering the same question. She didn't know. "Our parents died to protect us....I'm sure they are at peace now. At least we have each other."

Harry pulled her in an embrace that the girl gladly accepted.

"Can't you use your charmspeak to get out of here?" asked Harry grumbling. Celeste laughed and shook her head.

"It doesn't work like that Harry, I don't want to get expelled."

On Monday, Malfoy seemed to be celebrating Gryffindor's defeat.

"Git," Celeste muttered and levitated her pumpkin juice and poured it over Draco.

"Ah! What the hell!?"

Celeste whistled and skipped away with Harry, Hermione, and Ron who laughed at Malfoy's misfortune.

Though it seemed her cousin never learned to keep quiet because now he was intimidating Dementors in Potions.

"Duck!"

Celeste immediately ducked and heard a loud 'smack' throughout the dungeon classroom. Ron had chucked a crocodile heart at Malfoy.

"Bloody hell." Celeste muttered erupting in a fit of laughter.

The class seemed to struggle holding their laughter in.

"Fifty points from Gryffindor!"

Now it was time to head to Dark Arts and pray for Lupin's return. "If Professor Snape isn't here, I am going to skip class." said Celeste.

"Yeah I'll be skiving off," agreed Ron as they headed toward Lupin's classroom after lunch. "Check who's in there Hermione."

Hermione rolled her eyes and tugged Celeste with her, "Hey!" she pouted.

But there was Professor Lupin. "Guys we're clear!" she squealed, earning an amused chuckle from the man.

As they crook their seats they burst all at once at Snape's behavior while Lupin's been ill.

"We don't know anything about werewolves ─ "

"He was filling in, why should he give us homework!"

"─two rolls of parchment!"

"Please never be sick again, I don't think I can stand that greasy-haired man again!" Celeste uttered, earning a round of boisterous laughter.

"Did you tell Professor Snape we haven't covered them yet?" Lupin asked, frowning slightly. The babble broke out again.

"yes, but he said we were really behind ─"

"─he wouldn't listen─"

"─two rolls of parchment!" Professor smiled at the look of indignation on each face.

"Don't worry. I'll speak to Professor Snape. You don't have to do the essay.

"Oh no! I already finished it. " a cry broke out in Hermione Granger making everyone stare at her strangely.

When class was over, Professor Lupin glanced at Potter and Black, "Wait a moment, Harry and Celeste." the rest of the class left.

"I heard about the match," said Lupin, turning to his desk starting to pile books into his briefcase. "And I'm sorry about your broomstick. Is there any chance of fixing it?"

"No, said Harry sadly. "The tree smashed it to bits."

Then Lupin turned to Celeste, masking a display of anxiousness. "And are you alright? Being attacked by a Dementor again?"

"I'm alright Professor! I stayed on bed rest and ate tons of delicious chocolate." Celeste beamed, drooling over the thought of milk chocolate.

She could've sworn she saw a glimmer of fondness and pride in his eyes.

( At least her love in chocolate hasn't changed )

"Did you hear about the Dementors too?" said Harry with difficulty.

"Yes, I did. I don't think any of us have seen Professor Dumbledore that angry. They have been growing restless for some time...furious at his refusal to let them inside the grounds. I suppose they were the reason you fell?"

"Yes, Why? Why do they affect me like that?"

"Yeah are we just weak?" Celeste mumbled.

"It has nothing to do with weakness." Professor Lupin stated sharply. "The Dementors affect you worse than the others because there are horrors in your past that the others don't have."

Lupin began to explain the background about Dementors and assured them they had nothing to be ashamed of.

"When they're near me...I hear my mum's screams─" said Celeste

"─I can hear Voldemort murdering our mums."

Celeste gave Harry a hug. There was a moment of silence. "─Why did they have to come to the match?" asked Harry bitterly.

That's a question that Celeste wondered as well. But then a thought came into her mind

"Professor, can─can you teach us how to cast a Patronus?"

It took Remus all he could to resist those puppy eyes, but alas, he couldn't say no to Celeste.

"Well...all right. I'll try and help."

The news of Ravenclaw flattening out Hufflepuff at the end of November seemed to make Harry's mood a bit brighter. On the other hand, Celeste was the opposite because there is a possibility she'll have to play against Harry.

Two weeks before the end of the term there was already Christmas spirit looming all around.

Students happily discussed their plans for the Holidays. The Golden Quartet happily decided to stay at Hogwarts for Christmas.

Although it was obvious why Hermione and Ron were staying.

"You guys can go home, we'll be fine here," said Celeste, feeling guilty.

"Nonsense! We are staying here for Christmas." Hermione insisted.

On Saturday, Celeste, Hermione, and Ron went to Hogsmeade and bid farewell to Harry.

"I'll bring back all I can find Harold!"

"My name isn't Harold!"

Celeste cackled and their friends laughed at the sour expression on Harry's face.

"I'm just saying we can go to the Three Broomsticks first!"

Hermione, Celeste, and Ron were arguing about where to go first.

However, Ron's attempts to guide the girls away to the path of the haunted shack was unsuccessful.

"Well well, look who's here?" Draco Malfoy approached the group followed by Crabbe and Goyl. "Shopping for your dream home?" asked Ron mockingly. "Bit Grand for you WEasel Bee, don't your family sleep in one room?"

"Shut up Draco." snapped Celeste.

Malfoy turned to his cousin and raised a brow, "What are you doing here? I thought I told you to stay in the castle." his voice was stern, grabbing her wrist, "Whatever, just ─ Just stick with me alright?"

Celeste shook his grip from his hold. "Draco I'm perfectly safe with my friends, thank you."

"Blaise and Theo are worried about you hanging with these trouble-making sort." sneered Draco.

"Shut up Malfoy." snarled Ron angrily.

"Boys it's time we teach Weasel Bee how to respect his superiors." Draco's eyes gleamed and stuck his nose high as he adjusted his jacket attempting to look like he was in power and control.
Celeste rolled her eyes.

"Oh, I hope you don't mean yourself." mocked Hermione.

"There's nothing superior about you seeing as you screamed like a little girl on the train." Celeste scoffed.

"How dare you talk to me like that...you mudblood." Draco's eyes fell to his cousin. "You come here right this instant!" he felt like he was talking to a child.

"No, just leave me be Draco!" Celeste stepped back.

Suddenly a snowball gets thrown out of nowhere.

"Who's that?" Draco asked. Then another snowball hit Draco in the face. The three boys glanced around in confusion. Snowballs began to hit the three Slytherins except for Celeste who shrieked and fell back in Hermione.

"I swear it isn't me this time!" Celeste surrendered.

The three backed away fearfully eying the most cautiously. Ron, Hermione, and Celeste clutched their stomachs from laughter.

Crabbe's pants fell while Goyle's scarf got held in mid-air spinning round along with Goyle, being thrown into the snow like Grabbe.

Draco fell backward and his legs pulled towards the Shrieking Shack. "Ah, Celeste help me!"

The Black wanted to help, but she remembered Draco calling Hermione a 'mudblood' and decided that maybe this is his punishment.

Eventually, after a few minutes, they left screaming and yelling.

The dangles of Ron's hat were pulled making him look ghostly white and Hermione's hair is flattened. Then Celeste's jacket was zipped up properly.

"Harry!"

Harry dropped his invisibility cloak. "Bloody hell that wasn't funny!" Ron babbled.

"How did you get here?"

Harry showed him the map and Celeste couldn't help but think all the strange names were awfully familiar with her charm bracelet.

Celeste sipped on her butterbeer in the three broomsticks. She was sitting close to Hermione.  She glanced up to see Professor McGonagall and a couple of more teachers.

She covered Harry with the invisibility cloak and the quartet listened in on the conversation.

The mention of Sirius Black made shivers run up Celeste's spine.

"You say you remember Rosmerta, Do you remember who his best friend was?" McGonagall questioned, the woman let out a loud chuckle.

"Naturally. Never saw one without the other did you? the number of times I had them here-oh they used to make me laugh! Quite the double act. Sirius Black and James Potter!"  Celeste nearly choked on her butterbeer.

Harry dropped his tankard with a loud clunk. Ron kicked Harry and swatted Celeste's arm.

"Precisely." Professor McGonagall sighed, a distant look in her eyes. "Black and Potter. Ringleaders of their little gang. Both very bright, of course-exceptionally bright, in fact-But I don't think we've ever had such a pair of troublemakers--"

"I dunno." Hagrid chuckled. "The Weasley twins could give me a run for their money!"

"You would have thought Black, Potter, and De Martel were siblings!" Flitwick chimed in.

"Inseparable!"

"Of course they were." Fudge mumbled, taking a sip of his drink. "Potter trusted Black beyond all his other friends. Nothing changed when they left school. Black was the best man when James got married to Lily. When Black got married James was the best man. They named his godfather of Harry, he has no idea of course. You can imagine how that would torment him."

"I would have never ever suspected Black to do such a thing. When Harry and Celeste were only babes, they would often let me babysit them from time to time." McGonagall sighed, imagining the two children when they were only infants.

"He adored Celeste like she was his own...after Regulus left out of the blue." sniffled the Gryffindor Head of House.

"Oh, poor Reyna De Martel...her love with Regulus Black was doomed from the start." Madam Rosmerta sighed sadly. "After Hogwarts, she was arranged to marry Regulus Black. A week later he left her widowed and pregnant." she scowled.

"Regulus and Reyna did love each other, but it was the wrong time. Sirius Black may not have killed Reyna Black and the Potters but he was responsible for their deaths."

She was too young to die. Reyna De Martel was barely nineteen. Hagrid grabbed a napkin and blew into it.  "Celeste Black is not only the last Heiress of the Ancient House of Black but the last line of Merlin. Lily Evans was practically Reyna's older sister."

Celeste's face morphed in shock. Even Sirius Black fooled McGonagall and Hagrid.

"Alas, If we only had. It was not we who should have found him. It was little Peter Pettigrew-another friend. Maddened by grief, no doubt and knowing Black himself had been the Potter's secret keeper, he went right after Black himself."

"Pettigrew...that fat little boy who was always tagging around after them at Hogwarts." Rosmerta pondered thoughtfully at the familiar-sized boy.

"Hero-worshipped Black and Potter. Pettigrew also had a small crush on De Martel. It was so obvious." Professor McGonagall spoke.

"never quite in their league, talent-wise." I was often rather sharp with him." the Professor sighed. "You can imagine I-how I regret that now..."

"There, now Minerva." Fudge consoled her.

"Pettigrew died a hero's death. Eyewitnessed-muggles of course, we wiped their memories later and told us Pettigrew cornered Black. He was sobbing, 'James,Lily, and Reyna! Sirius how could you? and then went for his wand. Well, of course, Black was quicker. Blew Pettigrew to smithereens."  Fudge's voice stopped abruptly. There was the sound of four noises.

"Well, there you have it, Rosmerta." Fudge stood up and dusted his robes. "Black was taken away by twenty members of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad and Pettigrew received the Order of Merlin, First Class, which I think was some comfort to his poor mother. Black's been in Azkaban ever since."

"With Black on the loose, Celeste has no choice but to open her Will that will reveal Reyna's last words of where she should go to live. I'm afraid Arabella Figg's cannot protect her any longer.

Celeste couldn't bear to look at her friends as they escaped outside.

"He...He was their friend! And he betrayed them." Harry cried out in anguish.

Celeste didn't realize she was crying until Harry embraced her in a tight hug.

"I hope Sirius Black finds us...so when he does I'm going to kill him myself!"
