Tattoos talk. Not physically, but it is a form of human artwork that can hide a mysterious story written within the ink.

Rather than meaning something literal and universal, the art on people's bodies can often be personal or complicated. And some designs shout a very particular meaning that can be mistakenly confused for something else.

If they could talk, these tattoos would tell us stories of honor, pain, hurt, and the real truth their owners are hiding!

When Marlene Brennan found a tattoo on her companion's thigh, she lost her self-control. In order to release her anger, she did the inevitable - by paying for a one way ticket on the Amtrak train headed for California.

After three months of learning about her new identity; she flew back to her hometown to be with her brother and friends. She also wanted to see her part-time lover - Owen Thomas again, but was only left at the airport crying at the hands of her best friends, and had to take home his letter and journal instead.

This love, Owen, was known to be a handsome, smooth and cocky guy; a 'hotshot' or otherwise known as a ladies' man. This kind of 'person' may seem to be the type who impresses women with their looks, and might not know the real meaning behind a decent 'romantic relationship'.

And I am sure, every woman like myself, have met these types of gentlemen before. However, there must be some reason why these men do it. They can't be labeled as one when they were brought into this world, could they?

Well, in Owen's story, he has quite a tale to tell Marlene before he comes back to her.

Sometimes, people have to learn that others need to continue their own journeys in order to find their self-identities. We shouldn't be selfish and think that they just abandoned us. Everybody needs a bit of space to figure things out.

Please note that all of the baseball teams that will be used in this story are purely fictional. The characters are also made-up, but most of the names are of people that have really inspired me throughout the years. And my gift to them is through my priceless writing. But this book is practically fictitious; if there are any resemblances to it, it is quite coincidental.

I will share a YouTube music video in some of the chapters. I feel that music makes a story more animated.

If you ever had a special song of a memorable event, you too would like to keep it close to your heart. You might or may not like the songs I put up, but please listen to them - to me lyrics tell the 'whole story'.  It  evokes a feeling that cannot be told by words alone.
