Carmen's POV

I wake up to my phone ringing and answer it. "This had better be important" I grumbles.

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed" Aiden says with a chuckle.

"I was having a lovely dream until you calling woke me up" I tell him.

"How about I make it up to you tonight?" he suggests. "There's going to be a Halloween party at school. I was wondering if you'd go with me" he states.

"I do love Halloween" I tell him. "Fine, I'll meet you there tonight. Spending the day with my brothers for some sibling bonding" I state. Which is a not a complete lie. I'm catching up with Damon while Stefan trains Vicki. They stopped her from killing Aiden's older brother last night.

"Great, I'll be the one covered in fur" he states.

"I'll be in red" I state and hang up. I got ready for the day and head to the living room. Where Vicki is whining about being stuck inside.

"Why can't I just go home?" she whines.

"My question exactly" I state as I drop onto the couch with a book to read.

"Because you're changing, Vicki, and it's not something you wanna do alone" Stefan states.

"There's nothin' about that Logan guy I killed in here. Not a word" Damon states putting down the paper.

"Someone's obviously covering it up" I tell him. He rolls his eyes and looks at the vampire compass. He took it after he killed Logan last night.

"What is that?" Vicki asks him.

"That is a very special, very old compass" I tell her.

"What was Logan Fell doing with it? Aren't you curious?" Damon asks Stefan and I.

"Nope, we have it so they can't use it. So we're safe as long as we keep a low profile" I state.

"Well, if you're so worried that somebody's onto you, why don't you just leave town, Damon?" Stefan suggests.

"Can't we have one day without this conversation?" I grumble and they ignore me.

"We should all be worried" Damon tells us.

"Hey, um, I'm hungry. Do you have anything to eat?" Vicki asks. No way is she going near my stash. Or I'll kill her for real. Stefan hands her a cup of animal blood. Yuck, tried it once. Couldn't stand it. "What is it?" she asks him.

"What you're craving" he answers and I giggle. So not what she's craving.

"Don't lie to the girl. It's so not what you're craving, but it'll do in a pinch, right, Stef?" Damon asks as he looks at him.

"What is it?" Vicki asks again and I smirk.

"Yeah, what is it Stefan? Is it a skunk? Saint Bernard? Bambi?" I ask as I look up at Stefan.

"Go on. Give it a try" Stefan tells Vicki and she takes a sip.

"She's new. She needs people blood. She can't sustain on that stuff" Damon tells him.

"If you want her to have people blood, you train her" I tell him.

"Yeah, why can't I have people blood?" Vicki asks Stefan.

"Because it's wrong to pray on innocent people, Vicki" he tells her. True. But that's why snatch, eat, erase (S. E. E) was invited.

"You don't have to kill to feed. Just find someone really tasty and then erase their memory after wards. It's so easy" Damon tells her smiling.

"So easy" I agree as I flip through my book bored.

"There's no guarantee that you can control yourself, okay? It takes years to learn that. You could easily kill somebody, and then you have to carry that with you for the rest of your life, which, if I haven't made clear, is eternity" Stefan tells her.

"Don't listen to him. He walks on a moral plane way out of our eye line. I say snatch, eat, erase" Damon states. I roll my eyes, he said he didn't want to train her. But he contradicts Stefan's methods and his choice of her diet. He should either take over or leave Stefan to it.

"Hey, look at me. We choose our own path. Our values and our actions, they define who we are" Stefan explains to Vicki.

"Okay, count deepak. I am outta here. Come on Carmen" Damon says.

"Fine, I need to find an outfit for tonight anyway" I state. I close my book and follow him to the door. We open it to be greeted by Elena. "Morning" I say with a small smile.

"Hey, is Stefan here?" she asks me.

"Yep" Damon answers.

"Where is he?" she asks as she enters the house.

"And good morning to you, little miss " I'm on a mission"" Damon says.

"Stefan is upstairs" I tell Elena and try to push Damon out of the house.

"Thank you Carmen" she says with a smile then turns to Damon. "How can you be so arrogant and glib after everything that you've done?" she asks him.

"And how can you be so brave and stupid to call a vampire arrogant and glib?"  he asks her.

"If you wanted me dead, I'd be dead" she states.

"She's got you there brother" I say smirking.

"But I'm not" she adds.

"Yet" Damon says and we leave. "Where to baby sister?" he asks me.

"Costume store, I need an out fit for tonight's Halloween party at school. I'm meeting a friend there" I tell him.

"This a male or female friend?" he asks me.

"None of your business" I tell him. We arrive at the store and I find the perfect red riding hood outfit. We then go home. Damon goes to check on Vicki and Stefan while I get ready for the party. I hear the three of them go outside and look out my window. Damon shows Vicki superspeed and she disappears.

Great, but not my problem. I'm going to go hang out with Aiden. I sneak out while my brothers worry about Vicki. I arrive at the party and am pulled into a classroom. I slam the person against a wall and relax when I hear Aiden shout "whoa!"

"Don't sneak up on me" I tell him as I let him go.

"You're strong for a little thing" he states.

"My brothers made sure I knew how to defend myself" I state shrugging. "Nice costume, what do you think of mine?" I ask twirling.

"You look hot" he states. "Come on, the main party is in the gym" he adds. We leave the classroom and he takes me to the gym. We head onto the dance floor and dance to the upbeat music. "Having fun?" he asks me.

"A blast" I tell him smiling. He picks me up and twirls me as I laugh. "You're strong to, then again you are a football player" I state. "I'm thirsty" I add as the song ends.

"I'll get us each a cup of my family's special cider" he states. He leaves and gets us each a cup. "Careful it's strong" he tells me.

"Trust me, I'm not light weight" I assure him and drink it. "That is strong" I tell him. I then spot Vicki with Jeremy Gilbert and groan. "You got to be kidding me" I say.

"Something wrong?" Aiden asks me.

"Just a family problem, I have to call Damon. I'll be right back" I tell him and head to the bathroom. I call Damon. "Vicki Donovan is at the school dance" I state.

"Stefan's on it" he tells me.

"He won't be there in time, she's alone with Jeremy Gilbert" I tell him. "I'll find her and keep her hidden until he takes her back to the house" I add. I hang up and go look for Vicki. I soon smell blood and rush towards it. I arrive at the back of the school to see Vicki attacking Jeremy.

I throw Vicki off of Jeremy. "I hate newbies, can never control themselves or keep the secret. I'll only tell you this once Vicki return to the boarding house and stay there until you gain control. Or I kill you now" I tell her. "I don't care which" I add.

Elena arrives with Stefan and Stefan throws Vicki against the bus. "Go, get inside. Go!" he shouts at Elena who grabs Jeremy and runs. Vicki pushes Jeremy out of the way and grabs Elena. She bites Elena. Stefan stabs Vicki with a wooden stake, killing her.

"Get Jeremy out of here, I've got this" I tell Stefan. He grabs Jeremy and leaves. "You should go Elena, your wounds are bleeding" I tell her as I approach Vicki.

"This is Damon's fault" she states.

"You confuse him with someone who feels remorse Elena, he doesn't. None of this matters to him. None of it" I tell her.

"People die around him. How could it not matter? It matters, and you know it" she tells me.

"I know it does, but it doesn't to Damon unless our family gets exposed. Which won't happen" I state.  "Your wounds are bleeding and you need to leave" I repeat flashing my eyes. She leaves and I sigh. So much for a fun night. I message Aiden saying I was busted by one of my brothers and was taken home.

I message Damon the situation and he said he'd go to Elena's. I take Vicki's body and bury it. Leaving no headstone. Then gone home and shower before calling it a night.
