Let the Right one In:

So Carmen was home being a good girl while reading her 1910s journal. When Damon comes in and nicks her phone. He calls Stefan and no answer. He tells her how he can't get a hold of Stefan. She tells him to try Elena's and he dragged her along. Not wanting to leave her alone. But not even Elena could reach Stefan.

Turned out he was taken by the tomb vampires. Damon tried to get in, but the owner of the house was compelled not to let him in. Carmen volunteered to go alone, but Damon wouldn't allow it. So they went to Alaric for help. They saved Stefan and he killed Fredrick after drinking Elena's blood.

After that Carmen is no longer grounded. But can't go anywhere without one of her brothers. On a bad note Vicki's body was found. Also Stefan is high on human blood. Now Carmen and Damon have to try get him back onto the animal diet without Lexi's help.

Under Control:

Carmen is getting annoyed with both of her brothers. Stefan's denail and Damon's over protectiveness. So she jumped at the chance when Aiden invited her to a Founder's party. She went on a shopping trip alone to find the perfect outfit. Leaving Damon to deal Stefan. After she was ready she meet Aiden at the Founders hall. Where he introduces her to John Gilbert, before taking her to get a drink.

When they return to the main room. Carmen notice both of her brothers are there. She told Aiden, she had to go greet them and that she'd find him later. He agreed and left. She went over to her brothers and Damon goes to scold her. But she gave him a pointed look, reminding him she is not a child anymore. She asks Stefan how he's feeling and she assured her he was fine. She told him to call if he has trouble and leaves to go find Aiden. She found him as the speech started. Afterwards Aiden pulls her onto the dance floor as a more upbeat song starts to play. Afterwards Aiden escorted Carmen home.

Miss Mystic Falls:

Carmen returned to school and sees Bonnie. She hugged her welcoming her back and wishing her luck. Before they went to their separate classes. After school though Caroline drags her and Bonnie on a shopping trip. As Caroline is in the running for Miss Mystic Falls. Carmen went, feeling like she deserved a girls day out.

She even agreed to help Caroline get ready for the contest the next day. While Bonnie went with Caroline to her dance lesson. Carmen remembers when she used to do the dance with her brothers. Dreaming about when she'd be old enough to run for Miss Mystic Falls. Guess that'll never happen now.

The next day Carmen helped Caroline get ready for the Founders ball. With Bonnie's help. She then joined Damon downstairs to watch the dance. But Stefan had disappeared and Damon took his place as Elena's dance partner. While Carmen went in search of Stefan. She found signs of a struggle in the bathroom and blood. She told Damon and Elena, they go outside. To see Stefan attacking Amber. Carmen pulled him off and he ran away.

When Damon and Carmen returned to the boarding house with Elena. She vervained Stefan and they locked him in the cellar. Elena choose to stay the night while Carmen went to bed. Leaving Damon with Elena in the cellar.

Blood Siblings:

While waiting for Stefan to drink animal blood. Carmen remembers when her brothers made her tag along to try save Katherine in 1864. Back when she saw Katherine as an older sister. When she was compelled to like her. How they were shot dead.

She remembers waking up by the lake with her dead brothers beside her. Wearing her daylight ring. Emily was there and explained what was happening to her & her brothers. Damon woke up next and they sat by the lake together. Him moaning the death of Katherine, while Carmen focused on her hatred for her. But at least she'd be able to say goodbye to her brothers before letting death take her.

Stefan woke up and went to say goodbye to their father. While the other two stayed at the lake. That night Stefan returned a vampire and made his siblings drink blood. Damon promised him an entirety of misery and left with Carmen. Who at the time hated Stefan for turning her into a monster.

Meanwhile Damon got a device from Pearl, that John was after. Stefan told Elena how he became a vampire by accidentally killing his father. She left him in the unlocked cellar with his ring. She went upstairs where Carmen told her how he made Damon and her complete the transition all those years ago. Elena then ran back into the cellar to see Stefan gone and grabbed his ring heading for the lake. She found him and convinced him to continue on living and they returned to boarding house. Where Carmen hugged him, saying she'd forgave him look ago for what happened in the past. She then went to her room leaving her brothers to talk.

Isobel:

Carmen is called to Alaric's classroom with Stefan, Damon and Elena. Where Alaric tells them how Isobel is in town and wants to see Elena. So Stefan and Carmen go with Elena to the grill. They played pool while Elena sat at the bar. Alaric and Damon outside as they were told not to go in.

Turns out Isobel is after the Gilbert device Pearl gave Damon. Isobel threatens to kill everyone Elena loves if she doesn't get the device from Damon. Carmen went with Aiden to help prepare floats for the Founders Day Parade. Where Matt got his arm broken from a float falling on it. Bonnie agreed to dispel the device and did so. Which Elena then gave to Isobel, not knowing Bonnie had lied about dispelling it.

Founder's Day:

Carmen went to help Elena get ready for the parade. As she knows how to do the hairstyle from 1864. Jenna did Elena's corset though. Carmen is happy she never had to wear one. As it was only girls 13 and older that had to wear them. Anyway she curled Elena's hair and did it half up half down. Honestly it was like seeing Katherine looking back at her.

They went to the parade together and meet Carmen's brother. Elena and Stefan went to their float. While Carmen went to spend the day with Aiden. He tells her about the fireworks that were going to be on later that night. She agreed to go with him.

But things turn bad when the fireworks start. Carmen falls to the ground holding her head in pain. Before Aiden could take her somewhere else. A deputy vervains her and takes her to the Gilbert old doctor's office. She's placed by Damon and left there to burn. But Damon woke up and started to drag her to safety. Stefan appeared and helped get them out, while the other tomb vampires and dead Mayor Lockwood burned.

Carmen finds Aiden and finds out that Tyler was in a car crash. She told him about his dad and how she was nearly burned alive. They comforted each other. Until Damon calls Carmen telling her to come home.
