👑Chapter 12: Miracles In Disguise & Truth Bombs👑

Third Person P.O.V.

Ella smiled as she and Ben played at a picnic table with some paint and artwork. The day was beautiful outside and the little girl wanted to go out and sketch some of her surroundings.

"Let's see what you have." Ben said as he looked at a couple of her paintings. He smiled at them and hugged her.

"These are beautiful, Sweetheart." he said.

"Look at this one. It's Mal as a dragon." she told him as she showed him.

"It's amazing." he told her.

"I want to give this as a present." Ella said to Ben.

"Are you sure? I'm not sure she likes presents." he asked.

It was then the little girl began to pout, which made him feel guilty for saying that.

"You know what? She loves them. You can give it to her." he reassured her.

Her eyes lit up and she hugged him. "Thank you, Benny!" she said.

Ella had begun playing in the sandbox, making sand castles. Ben had walked off to help the nearby construction workers get hydrated.

She was doing her third sand castle until she saw it get stomped on and destroyed.

She looked up and saw a group of kids, one boy and two girls.

"Why did you do that?" Ella asked sadly.

"Because we felt like it. You think you can do this because your a princess?" one of the girls said.

"Your parents never spend time with you! You're a loser!" the boy told her.

Ella was starting to cry at the point. Nobody ever talked to her like that. Not even the other kids she would play with.

One of the girls got her stuffed dalmatian and threw it on the sand.

"No, stop! Please!" Ella cried as they stomped on it and threw sand on her.

Ella had tears streaming down her face. She didn't know what to do at this point. She felt helpless.

"Hey!"

The three kids turned and looked in fear as the four villain kids walked over to them. Mal had her spell book and her eyes were glowing green.

Ella smiled as she saw them. The sons and daughters of villains were coming to her rescue.

"Fog as mysterious as the night, allow these pests to be filled with fright." Mal chanted.

A green mist came out in the form of a dragon and roared at the three bullies, making them scream and run away.

Ella wiped her tears as Evie helped her up. "Oh, sweetheart."

Carlos picked up Ella's stuffed dalmatian and brushed the sand off it, giving it back to her.

"It's okay, El. They won't hurt you anymore. Not while we're around." Jay reassured her.

Mal couldn't help but have anger towards Ben. Why wasn't here with her?

"Sweetface, where's your brother?" the purple-haired teenager asked.

Ella sniffled and pointed to where Ben was talking with the construction workers.

"Really? He leaves you to talk to them?" Mal asked.

Ella shrugged. "He always leaves and then things like this happen. Does he not want to spend time with me?"

Carlos couldn't help but feel anger towards the prince of Auradon. He was sure he or Jay would have been a better brother to her than Ben. 'Why would he just leave her alone? She's only five. Not everyone in this filthy place is rainbows and sunshine.' he thought.

They glared at the prince who was walking towards them. Evie held the little girl close to her, not wanting to let her go. She already felt a sisterly bond with the girl and wouldn't dare let anyone else hurt her.

"Ella, what happened? Why are you crying?" Ben asked as he saw his sister sniffling, her eyes blood shot.

"I don't know, Prince! You tell us!" Mal arued.

"What's going on? Calm down." Ben said.

"Your sister was getting bullied and we had to come and help her! Why weren't you around? Why are you busy talking with workers when your sister is vulnerable?" Evie argued.

"Ella, I'm sorry. Come on, I'll make it up to you." he said.

"For what? Just so you can leave her again?" Carlos asked, standing in front of Ella and Evie protectively.

"No, let-" Mal cut Ben off.

"Listen, Beasty Boy. I understand that you're going to be the next king and all, but this is ridiculous. You can't even push aside your duties for a bit to spend time with your sister. My mom was always busy ruling the Isle, but she still made time to teach me what I know now. Your parents barely even spend time with her! What kind of brother does that?" Mal shouted.

Evie placed a hand on her best friend's shoulder before looking at Ben. 'We're going to let her stay with us until you open your eyes. Don't even think about sending guards because we wouldn't lay a finger on this girl."

Ben knew they cared about the girl, so that's why he didn't stop them when they walked away with his sister. He just stayed frozen as the truth sunk in.

As for the VKs, Carlos held Ella's hand as they walked back to where they were going; to Jay and Carlos' room to play video games, watch movies, and eat snacks.

Ella felt safe near the VKs, all the kids who were known to be bullies scurried in fear when they saw her with them.

They all knew that Ella wasn't alone anymore. She had a pack. She had friends. She had backup.

And they happened to be from the Isle of The Lost.
