Carlisle P.O.V.

After I finished up with that patient, they said there were enough people working at the hospital today and that I could go home if I wanted. I offered to work the night shift, and they thought that was a good idea. So now I'm going home.

I walk to my shiny car. It's overcast today and that makes it easier for us to go outside. I step into my car and start the engine.

I'm so curious who Edward's mate is. Does she have dark or blond hair?
Dark hair and brown eyes. That's the perfect girl for Edward.

I step on the gas pedal and drive towards home. I drive fast.
Suddenly a car cuts me off and I stopped the car. I noticed the other car stopped too. I look to see who's driving and my heart makes a leap. A young woman with brown hair and deep beautiful brown eyes is staring at me.

She smiles when she sees me looking at her and makes a gesture to say "sorry" because she cut me off.
I smile back at her.
The only thing I can think of is. Wow, she is beautiful. I can't keep my eyes off her.

She starts to drive again and I am driving behind her.
On the back of her car is a sticker. The sign of the Police.
She's Chiefs Swan daughter. She turns left at the sign for the High School.
I drive further. I stare at her until I can't see her anymore.
It feels like I'm more alive than before our near accident.
Maybe she is my mate?
