Peter knew most people had a mom, but he never questioned why he didn't. Whenever he'd go over and play at other kid's houses, it was always the same. They had a mom and a dad. Peter always just assumed he was special because he had not one, but two dads. But it didn't take long for him to realize he was wrong.

"Dad, Friday is parents day at school! Are you and Pops gonna come?" Tony looked at the ten year old with sorrow in his eyes. "I'm sorry, kid. I'm not gonna be able to make it. But Pops will be there, I promise." Tony couldn't tell him the real reason why he couldn't come. He knew he was disappointing his son, but he had to other choice. "But Dad!" The boy grabbed onto Tony's leg and pouted his lip. "No buts. Now go get ready for bed, I'll be in there in a minute."

"Okay, Dad." And Peter ran down the hallway to his room. Tony sat down on the couch, letting out a large sigh. He was comforted by the touch of his husband. "Tony, what's wrong?"

"We have to tell him. It's getting too dangerous." Steve sat down on he couch next to him. "Tell him what?"

"About everything. He needs to know why he has two dads, and what could happen if someone finds out! Parents day is on Friday, and I don't want him running around telling other kids his second dad couldn't make it." Steve knew Tony was right, he just wished it didn't have to be this way.

"Okay, we'll tell him together."
