"Dude, I'm so excited for college! I can't believe we got the same dorm room, it's gonna be sick!" I talked into my phone while driving to my new college campus.

"I know! This year is gonna be fuckin' epic!" My friend Annabelle cried.

"Have you already unpacked?" I asked, knowing she had already gotten to the dorms.

"Yeah, pretty much, are you almost here?"

"Yeah, I'm coming up on it right now. I'm gonna hang up, see ya in a few."

"See ya," She giggled from excitement, I did as well before hanging up, and pulling into the parking lot. As soon as I was out of the car, someone drove through. Their music was blasting and they drove fast, nearly hitting me.

"Sorry, sweetheart!" The guy called.

"Oh, it's fine! I'm fine..." He didn't hear me... doesn't really matter... why is someone speeding through a parking lot anyways!? That's just an accident waiting to happen...

Just as I opened the trunk of my little Volkswagen bug, the sound of footsteps came from behind me. Quickly, I turned around to see Annabelle. As soon as her green eyes met mine, she jumped into my arms.

"Y/n! Oh I missed you!"

"I missed you too!" We giggled, "I can't wait to start the year, it's gonna be so fun!"

"It totally will, lemme help you with your stuff." She grabbed a box, I did as well.

"Thanks, I dunno what I'd do without you." I smiled.

"Same here, but with you of course," We giggled once more as we made it up to our dorm, "It's this one, right here, room one twenty four."

"Wait, one twenty four? I have one sixty nine."

"Haha, nice."

"That's what I said, but that's so weird. Aren't we supposed to have the same room?" I asked.

"Yeah, here, lemme see if I got the room right," She opened the door, letting me inside as she scanned her information packet, "Yeah, room one twenty four."

"Really? That's so weird..." I said, setting my box down, "Oh wow, your room is so cute!" Looking around, she had little stuffies on her bed with a pretty comforter, that entire half of the room had already been completely decorated. While the other side was bare, and empty.

"Aww, thanks. Oh, I have a thing!"

"A thing?" I asked, curious.

"Yeah, a thing!" She pulled out a little gift bag and handed it to me, "It's for you, I hope you like it."

"Aww, thank you," I said, pulling out the tissue paper, at the bottom of the bag was a stuffed frog that matched the same one laying on her bed, "Oh my! He's so cute! We're matching now!"

"Yeah! I knew you'd like it," She smiled, "Maybe we should head over to room one sixty nine, just to see if anyone's there that we can talk to."

"Yeah, let's go," I set the little frog in my box, "Should we take the boxes?"

"Nah, once we get this all sorted out, you'll be bunking with me anyways." She said.

"Okay, let's go then." We left the little room, she locked it before we were off.

"I really hope I won't have to bunk with some weirdo." I giggled.

"I know, bleh." She stuck her tongue out in disgust. Just as we approached the door, I pulled out my key and unlocked it.

"Frank?" A voice asked from the other side. Sitting on one of the beds was a nervous looking boy, with black hair and boxes waiting to be unpacked surrounding his bed. He sent a confused look as we walked in.

"Hi, this is room one sixty nine, right?" I asked him.

"Y-yeah... yeah..." I turned to Annabelle standing behind me, sending her a look saying, 'are you sure about this?' She pushed me further into the room as to get out of the doorway.

"Hey, so it turns out that my friend here, Y/n, she somehow fucked up us getting a room together and now she somehow got a room with you and-"

"Gerard!? Where the hell is he..." There was a yell from behind us, I know that voice...

"Frank!" The boy got up, and walked through the door. We watched as they had a similar conversation as we had just moments ago.

"Are you kidding me!? How did this happen!?" A guy with nasty dreads and a short stature cried after hearing the news.

"I dunno!" The other boy cried. Frank set down the box he was carrying and pulled out his packet from inside.

"It says I'm in room one eighty two!" He groaned, then looked to us, "Why are you here?"

"I'm supposed to be rooming with Annabelle," I pointed to her, "But I somehow got a room with him." I pointed to the boy, not entirely sure what his name was. Frank let out a frustrated sigh and picked up his box.

"Where are you going?" The boy asked.

"Room one eighty two to see what's going on with whoever's in there." He said.

"Can I come with you?" The boy asked, his hands were shaking.

"Yeah, your new friends can come too." He nodded at us. As he walked away, the boy walked by his side, while Annabelle and I walked behind.

"I can't believe they messed up our rooms, it's total bull!" She cried to me.

"I know! So much for being 'a great school' with 'easy to navigate campus.'" We giggled as I did an impression from the commercials.

We came up upon room one eighty two and Frank unlocked it. The two boys walked in, while we just peered in. There was a curly haired boy, sat on a bed, with a comic book in his hands. He didn't bother to look up until his eyes had hit the bottom of the page.

"Uh, hi?" He greeted, sort of.

"Is this room one eighty two?" Frank asked.

"Yeah," The boy pushed up his little circular glasses.

"Well, I'm Frank."

"Ray," The boy nodded, then went back to his comic, clearly uninterested in what was going on with the four of us.

"Uh, Ray, you seem like a good guy, could you possibly help us out?" Asked Frank.

"Help with what?"

"Well, you see, Gerard and I were supposed to have the same room and these two girls were supposed to have the same room and now it's all messy."

"So? How would I be able to help?"

"I just feel like if we have a large ban of kids go down to the principal's office and went in with a mob mentality, then we'd all get what we want."

"I dunno Frank, doesn't sound too good." The black haired boy said.

"I'm not going," Ray said before Frank could say anymore to the boy, "I don't wanna get in trouble on my first day." He pushed up on his glasses and went back to his comic book.

"Fine, we'll just have to go down there," He looked to us, "Unless you're gonna bail?"

"No, I wanna room with my best friend just as much as you do!" Annabelle answered.

"Good, let's go." Frank left his box in room one eighty two before we left. We walked down the stairs and outside to the front of the main building. The principal stood out front, talking to teachers and new students alike.

"Uh, sir, hi," I caught his attention, but before another word left my lips, Frank broke in.

"Mr. Cuomo sir, our dorms got mixed up. See, I was supposed to room with my friend Gerard here, and these girls were supposed to room together, but it got all mixed up."

Gerard? Is that what he said? I heard him say it the first time, but wasn't sure if it was right...

"I can't do anything about that, you're going to want to go inside to the front office." He explained, then instantly turned to another student.

The four of us then stood inside the front office, which was already littered with confused freshmen like ourselves.

"What are your names?" Frank asked as we waited.

"I'm Annabelle, and this is Y/n."

"Cool, I'm Frank, this is Gerard," Gerard sent us a little nervous wave, "You guys are freshmen too, right?" He asked, desperately trying to make conversation.

"Yeah, how long have you two been here? On campus, I mean." Annabelle asked.

"I just got here, Gerard has been here for an hour or two. What about you?"

"Well, I got here yesterday and Y/n just got here too."

"Wait," Frank smirked, "You're the girl I saw in the parking lot! I almost ran you over!"

"Uh, yeah..." I said.

"Sorry bout that, I like to drive fast." He said.

"Even through parking lots? Dude, you coulda killed my best friend! Not cool!" Annabelle said.

"Yeah, we-"

"What can I help you with?" The lady asked. Frank turned towards her and began talking.

"Well, we got our dorms mixed up, is there anything we can do to fix that?" He asked.

"Yesterday was for dorm problems and parking placement. I can't do anything for you now."

"Really? Can't you do something?" He persisted.

"Nope, sorry, shoulda been here yesterday. Next!" Frank groaned and turned to us.

"Guess I can't bunk with you, sorry Gee."

"It's alright, it's not like we're in separate buildings or anything. Besides, I think I might like my new roommate." He said, intending on only Frank to hear, but I heard loud and clear.

"Annabelle, let's get outta here. I have more things to unpack, could you help me?" I asked.

"Duh! Of course I will, let's go." She took my hand as we made it out of the main building, to my car. We unpacked, decorated my side of the room, and talked about old high school pals as the beginning of the new school year came upon us.
