The opening starts by depicting the hallways of a school with tons of students walking from a side to another at a fast pace, in a slideshow-like style. Once the guitar starts playing, the title "Cardfight!! Vanguard: Spiral Soul" starts appearing, followed by "-War Against the Incomplete Arcana Arc-" under it, though this sub-title appears all at once instead of appearing slowly like the main title.

The opening becomes black and white after the title disappears. The boxing ring in the Arcana's tower is shown, and in it, Ryuuga and Gin are back to back with each other, like in the Ending. Notably, Masato is in front of the ring. In the dark background, Brandt Ringer's silhouette, which is white, appears for a split second like a lightning bolt, and when it disappears, Masato is also gone.

The scene changes into an empty black space with a white floor. Alan appears, holding the Blaster Blade (yes, the weapon Blaster unit's use are their unit names). Joe appears in front of Alan, and in response, Alan strikes him down, though Joe disappears like mist. Another Joe appears behind Alan and end sup striked down by the Blaster Dagger. This cycle of a mist Joe appearing around Alan and then getting striked down continues, with Alan using the Blaster Arrow, then the Blaster Rapier, then the Blaster Javelin and finally, the real Joe appears, which is notable by being in his astral form and not as mist. Joe starts moving torward towards Alan, who impales him with Messianic Lord Blaster's sword, though that doesn't stop Joe. Joe continues to move forward and places his arms around Alan.

The scene changes into the hallway between the elevator and the door to the room where the boxing ring is, still in black and white. Ryuuga, in the hallway, starts moving towards the door.

(Instrumental)

During this short scene, the scene changes and shows the Ryuuga from Spiral Terra, characterized by his shorter hair. He is looking down with his eyes closed. He starts lifting his head, which turns into General Seifried, then into the Ryuuga from early on in Spiral Soul, characterized from a worried look in his eyes for having so much work, then into Jamyocongo, then into Ryuuga during the Tokyo's Finest, characterized by a confident smile on his face, then into Akatsuki Hanzo, then into the current Ryuuga, who doesn't has a smile, but carries a diamond-strong determined look in his eyes. The final changes happens, but instead of a unit, a silhouette of a unit appears and it's two blue eyes shine. Their light is enough to show part of the red scarft around it's neck and part of it's mechanical face.

Right after the eyes of the silhouette from the previous scene shine, the scene changes into Chronojet Dragon's thrusters, which ignite as he jets upward towards Brandt, going in for a punch that Brandt dodges. Brandt becomes surrounded by a black cloud and turns into Brandt Ringer, who fires upon Chronojet Dragon. Chronojet evades the attack and flies behind the giant Brandt Ringer, disappearing and then re-appearing as Chronodragon Nextage. A cannon comes out of each of Nextage's thrusters and a blast is fired upon Brandt Ringer. This blast comes in a light blue colour instead of white.

The scene changes into Hinata, as Egordiel, surrounded by a black cloud of shadows. Wolf heads with gleaming red eyes blast out of this cloud, trying to attack Hinata but she dodges them. After she dodges two of these wolf heads, Isabelle jumps out of the shadows, also with gleaming red eyes and a snarl, giving it a more feral look.

Hora mikata ni kaete

The scene changes into Harmonics Messiah, with the two planets on it's shoulders shining a white light over a field filled with Blaster units.

The scene rapidly changes into Brandt and Chronojet's right fists colliding against each other.

The scene reverts into the boxing ring, though now Gin is alone and has his back turned away from the viewer. He starts to turn around and the camera shifts, showing Ryuuga pressing down the center and bottom ropes of one of the sides of the ring's down with his foot and lifting the upper rope with his left hand. 

We can catch the game

Ryuuga extends his right hand to Gin, who takes it and the opening regains it's colour.

The title appears once again, followed up with Brandt appearing on the left side and Chronojet appearing on the right. On the bottom of the screen appears the phrase "Here and now, fly through countless possibilities, and reveal to us the future we truly desire!" (the phrase is in quotation marks when it appears).
