-Part 2

Six months passed.

Yeah, we're skipping that far ahead, this cour only has this part left and there's no way in hell an entire God of Combat is gonna fit in it.

So we're skipping a bit ahead.

Well, we're skipping very ahead.

Like to the final round.

More like, to the final moments.

Like to when Izuru's final opponent, some random ass american thinking his boxing can beat an asakusan's sheer will to beat the shit out of someone was gonna work, finally dropped after eating a triple kick like how Gakuganji ate Izuru's fist at the end of the first cour.

Izuru was just left standing there, in the middle of the ring, feeling extra disappointed while everyone in the stadium cheered.

Yeah.

'Dude... What a waste of half a year...' Izuru thought, staring blankly at his hands. 'I spent six whole months using a translation app to survive just to fight the most underwhelming guy in the world... FUCK, I SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN JAPAN AND FOUGHT SHIN OVER SOME DUCKS OR SOMETHING!'

The announcer, and by extension, the organizer of this entire thing, ran into the stage and raised Izuru's hand to declare him the winner. Yeah, it was Ryuzaki, who else would waste a ton of money on this thing.

"And that's it! The end of this fire-hot battle between fighters that was the God of Combat! Our winner is none other than the recently graduated fellow who likes the knockout rich people, Sawada Izuruuuuuuuuuuuuu!" Ryuzaki exclaimed into his microphone. "So, whaddya want?!"

"Huh? What do I want?"

"Huh, yeah? Dude, you won this thing, you get to have your wish made true. That's like, the entire point of this thing? Anyway, tell me whaddya want and I'll make it happen if I can! I can't do something as stupid as buy a planet or give you a company, but I can give you anything aslong as its in my power to do so! So, what you want? Want a good Revenger rear-guard? Want me to finally print Realizing Form Dragon? Oh wait, want me to ban the shit outta Gurguit?! Or better yet, you wanna finally punch me?!"

"No, I can punch you at any time..." Izuru shrugged and crossed his arms. 'Oh I think I have a funny idea...' "Hm... What do I want out this underwhelming event that made me waste six whole months... So what's your plan if I want money?"

"I put aside a hefty sum in case the winner wants money. Why? You want the money I saved for the winner?"

"No. You said you gotta provide the prize aslong as it's in your power to do so, right?" 'Oh this is gonna be so funny...'

"I literally just said that. What? You want me to buy you Bushiroad? If you promise to not make stupid triggers for the next reboot, I'll consi-"

"I want 51% of your money." 'The look on his face is gonna be priceless!'

Oh look, turns out the overconfidant shit-eating smug grin comes with being voiced by the legend.

"-der... H-huh...?" Ryuzaki blinked.

"It's in your power to give me over half of your fortune, right? So hand it over, sucker." Izuru grinned. 'Yeah, no way this'll fly, but seeing that look on his face was the best!'

Ryuzaki slowly looked over at his old and reliable best friend, who was one of the judges for the event. Yeah, we're not ending this without Maverick showing up at least once. He quickly browsed through the rulebook and nooded.

"He can do it."

'...eh?' Izuru thought.

"AH?! NO WAY! HE CAN GET THE MILLIONS I HAD READY FOR THE WINNER, NOT RIP ME OFF HALF MY FORTUNE! I DON'T CARE I CAN MAKE IT BACK AND DOUBLE IT IN HOURS, IN THE TIME IT'LL TAKE ME TO THAT, I WON'T-!"

Ryuzaki made back his money and doubled it in three hours, but being richer than Ryuzaki regardless of the duration is still one hell of a conquest. And the best part was that punching him would now be extra funny. He could still get sued by Kaido and Ryuzaki, but who cares.

Now that the God of Combat was done and wasting six months on a fight outranked by the Churroman didn't feel as bad, Izuru flew back to Tokyo the day after the ending of the event, since he wanted to spend a day enjoying Seoul like a tourist for once.

Upon reaching Narita Airport and grabbing his bags, Izuru was meet by Ibuki and Ban, the former rushing to his arms.

"Six months was too long, dude... Next time, go fight in japanese tournaments!" Ibuki cried. "I missed you so much..."

"Me too... How many clothes did you burn with the iron?" Izuru asked.

"More than I should!"

"Dude... I'm back now, so just leave it to me, Ibuki!"

"Welcome back, you first rate scumbag." Ban greeted with a smirk. "Did taking Ryuzaki's money feel better than punching him?"

"I swear I jokingly did it... And I'm back." Izuru replied with his own smirk. "Huh? Where's everyone else?"

"Dude, it's a tuesday, Yumi, Rio and Nobu are at Heiwa, the rest had classes at this hour. Hell, I gotta go back to Fukushima after this."

"Wait, for real?! I didn't even think of that... What about you, Ibuki? Wanna spend the day together?"

"Ahahah, y'see... I got classes this morning and a photoshoot in the afternoon so..." Ibuki sweatdropped. "But don't worry, my weekend's free so we can spend it by ourselves!"

"And Harui." Ban pointed out.

"And Harui-chan! But Harui-chan said she'd sleep at her new friend's house from saturday to sunday, so we have that whole night to ourselves! Now let's go, I'll drive you home and then head off to uni!"

"Yeah, let's go. I've missed our place!" Izuru nodded.

Getting back to his old place after half a year of living in a nice apartment by himself paid by Ryuzaki was the biggest whiplash Izuru had felt in a while.

But at the very least, Ibuki had a special surprise for him before she had to leave.

"You disgusting pig..." Ibuki scoffed, looking down on Izuru the way someone looks at their garbage can, all while holding her skirt up.

"I've missed you so much, Ibuki...!" Izuru sobbed.

"Of course you did. I'm the great Ibuki Nino-kami-sama afterall!" She laughed, lifting Izuru's head to kiss his forehead. "But I need to go now, so see ya later!"

"See ya." He waved. "Hm... The hell do I do now..."

It was Gakuganji who said that rich men do weird things when facing major boredom. In Izuru's case, his brilliant idea was to pay Sumireko a visit, since he was that dry for ideas.

The only problem was that she was working for once and could only meet him at her clinic's reception.

"Oh hey, look who's back from South Korea!" Sumireko laughed. "Hard to believe you came to see me. Did Nino-chan left you hanging?"

"Nino-cha- Ibuki had classes, same with everyone else, so I came to see if you were free to have coffee or something." Izuru sighed.

"I'd like to, but a bunch of guys riding bycicles at the park had an accident because of a bald man and his pet ducks, so I'm busy at the moment..." She sweatdropped. "But hey, it was good to see you. Why not go see if Endo's free?"

"Endo, huh...? Sure, why not." He shrugged. "By the way, have you replaced your coffee machine yet?"

"Huh... Y-yeah, totally, not like I've been indoctrinated into drinking the piss awful coffee it makes out of laziness to go buy a new coffee machine, ahah..."

Sumireko did not lie as naturally as she breathed.

Since even her was too busy to spend time with Izuru, he went to the next best thing: Heiwa. Walking through the empty halls of the school he left behind half a year ago filled him with a sense of nostalgia that he immediatly discarded for the sake of kicking Endo's door open.

"HEY ENDO, I'M BACK!"

Only that Endo was nowhere to be seen since he was under his desk, and upon hearing the yelling, he got startled and hit his head.

"Ow... Who goes there?" Endo grunted, returning to his seat. "Oh, you're back already? What brings you here?"

"I'm bored and lonely, wanna hang out?"

"Izuru, I have a job... Regardless of how hellish this year's first years are and how much they're putting the annual budget in danger this early into the second semester, I still need to do it... Tuesdays aren't easy to boot, it's the only day in which Airi can't come in the morning." He sighed.

"Ah. Sounds depressing. Okay bye now!" Izuru said, running out of there to save himself from the possibility of being Endo's assistant for the day.

"Six months have gone by, yet you're the same... I'm glad you're back." Endo chuckled to himself, before letting the most despair-filled sigh of his life as he looked at his paperwork. "I now understand where Aimi-san was coming from..."

Since even Endo was out of the picture, Izuru began heading out of Heiwa, but as he reached the stairway leading to the ground floor, he came face to face with the King of Heiwa's Royalty.

"Senpai... HOLY CRAP, SENPAI, YOU'RE BACK!" Nobu cried, leaping onto Izuru's arms. "SENPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI! I MISSED YOU MUCH! I WATCHED ALL YOUR FIGHTS ON TV, AND I EVEN RECORDED THEM AND REWATCHED THEM WHENEVER I FELT SAD! WELCOME BACK, SENPAI!"

"Oxygen... Not going... T-to lungs..." Izuru wheezed, struggling to leave Nobu's grip.

But then, a quick and deadly impact to between his legs rendered Izuru immobile, and made him fall on the ground while screeching in pain.

"M-my asakusan... Bleh..."

"SENPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"Nyehehehehehe! That's what you get for leaving me to eat Neetama's crappy food for six months! I'm gonna repay you with six months of pure hell!" Harui maniacally laughed.

"W-wha... What the hell are you doing here, Harui?!"

"Huh? Neetama didn't tell you? I transfered to Heiwa Middle at the start of the school year. I'm coming to Heiwa for high school anyway, so why not get an early start and do my last two middle school years in the middle school section?"

"Fair enough... Wait..."

That's when Izuru took notice of the dark haired girl hiding behind Harui and watching over the scene with her yellowish eyes.

"Wait, she was being for real?! You really made a friend?!"

That earned him a nice kick to the nads!

"I knew you had it in you to not be friendless, Harui-chan!" Nobu exclaimed.

And that also earned him a nice kick to the nads!

"Morons, of course I can make friends! Come on, present yourself." Harui sighed, moving out of the way.

"M-my name is Kiba Yukie... Nice to meet you..." She meekly nodded.

"Nice to meet you too." Izuru bowed after swallowing the pain and getting up. "Wait... Kiba? Are you the fourth of the Kiba siblings?"

"Kiba siblings? As in the Ace that was in your bro's team back in the day, senpai?" Nobu asked.

"Y-yes, I'm the youngest of the four... There's Emon, Ichika, Takumi, and then me, Yukie..." Yukie explained.

"Yeah, anyway, what the hell are you doing here, Izuru?" Harui asked.

"Well... All my friends are busy with classes, Sumireko is busy with work, Endo's busy with work, so... I guess I'm heading home now."

"Oh man, I'd love to spend the day with you senpai, but I gotta keep my attendance record perfect! Hell, I'm only out here to run some errands for my homeroom teacher!"

"Yeah, don't worry about it, Nobu." Izuru chuckled, patting his back. "Want me to come pick you up later, Harui?"

"Nah, me and Yukie are meeting the our own Vanguard Club later today. I'll text you when we're done." Harui explained. "But hey, you know who's in the club and in our year? The bakegani's little brother!"

"You dragged me with you into the club, I want to leave it..." Yukie sweatdropped.

"Oh yeah, Satoru-kun's a student in Heiwa Middle too. I think Yukiko-senpai mentioned it before."

"Hopefully he isn't his like his sister..." Izuru shivered. He was better off not thinking about what Yukiko was doing at the moment.

Actually it's not that bad, she's in her weekly one on one baseball game against Kagekiyo with Kasumi as the arbiter. They're tied with five wins and five losses each.

"Oh wait, I got an idea! Just go to Risei-san's coffee place, senpai! The place's never super full, so you spend time with him!" Nobu suggested.

"Nobu... You absolute genius!"

And so, he left to Risei's cafe!

"Sorry Izuru, I gotta train the new guy. Today's not a great day." Risei shook his head.

And even he was too busy!

"You're replacing me?! With Nakano-senpai at that?!" Izuru asked.

"Making various types of coffee is harder than I imagined... I'm starting to miss food delivery..." Nakano sighed.

"You're gonna master it eventually, so hang in there, Ren." Yuzuriha smiled. Oh yeah, she was there having some coffee.

"Hm... Thanks, Yuzu." He smiled in return.

"No complaining or dating while working. Also, didn't you get a bunch of money off Ryuzaki? Why'd you wanna work here? Pretty sure you and your great great great grandchildren won't have to work a day in their lives." Risei pointed out.

"Oh..." Izuru sighed. "I just wanted to keep living my normal life while having a few extra yen in the bank... But if you're too busy, I'll leave."

"Don't worry Izuru, you're gonna find something to do to pass time!" Sakuya giggled. Oh yeah, she was also there having some coffee.

"Yeah, I hope so... Hey, wait a second! Tate returned from Portugal last week, and he's not in uni like the rest of the guys, so he has to be free at the moment, right?!"

"Actually... Tate-kun had to Portugal earlier than expected. He left yesterday. If you had returned a day earlier, you could have been with him. Oh, but don't worry, he said he'll be back for Christmas!"

"O-oh... So I just missed him, huh..." Izuru muttered, looking down on the counter. "W-well, better get going then, see you guys later... And good luck on the new job, Nakano-senpai..."

"I hope you find something to do, Izuru-san. And welcome home." Nakano said with a small smile.

With no one left in Japan to be with him, Izuru ended up at Ikebukuro Global Ring, sitting on some bench by himself and dwelling on how bad his day was going.

"I could have been with him if I had come a day earlier... This sucks... If only I hadn't been such an idiot...! I had six months to be in Seoul, why did I save doing all the tourist crap to the last day...?" He grunted, gritting his teeth. "Idiot, idiot, idiot!"

But then...

(Media - Don't Boo! Donbrothers)

"Miyuki!"

Izuru looked to his right, and there he was, standing there in all of his russian glory. The one and only thunder wonder, Heiwa's own Serebryakov Tametomo, or just Tate.

"Tate... You're here... Y-you're here...?!"

"Huh, yeah? Dude, what's the big plan, getting back to Japan and not telling me anything?!" Tate laughed, running over to Izuru's side. "That wasn't cool!"

"Y-you're really here... But Sakuya said you went back to Portugal yesterday!"

"That's weird. I got into the school but the school year only starts January next year, so I'm spending the rest of the year here in Japan!"

"I see... Yeah, of course, that makes sense!" Izuru nodded, smiling. "Wait, how did you find me here?"

"Tachibana-san called saying you were in Ikebukuro and- Oh..."

"That Sakuya's more mischievous than I thought..."

"Yeah... Tachibana-san's just the best, right?!" Tate asked.

"Heh, you're cut of the same cloth to some degree..." Izuru chuckled. "You wanna get out of here?"

"Sure! Oh, actually, I know where we should go!"

With Tate's suggestion in mind, the two got on their bikes and rode out to the place where their lives were once flipped around in the blink of an eye: the riverbank where Izuru and Junpei first fought. The two sat on a bench under a tree that had been planted there months earlier.

"This was the last place I expected you to think off." Izuru admitted with a small laugh.

"This place isn't a curse for us anymore, so why be scared of it, right?" Tate asked with a big grin. "Besides, the tree's shade just the best. I came to Japan for a week during summer and this tree was a life saver! I had my first kiss with Tachibana-san under it and everything!"

"That's ni- Huh? You guys have kissed already?! Dude, how come you haven't told me anything?! I thought we were best friends!"

"We are, but you had to focus on beating tons of ass in South Korea first." He chuckled. "So what are you gonna do with all the money you got, Miyuki?"

"Honestly...? I only got this money because I thought it'd be funny to ask for it... I didn't think I'd get this far! I just got rich, and here's how it went down! I jokingly told Ryuzaki I wanted over half of his money! It was a joke! Anyway with half a braincell would know I jokingly said it as a joke!"

"Oh dude, you should buy Heiwa off Endo and become the new headmaster! That'd blow Nobu's tiny whisks off!"

"Hell no! The student council was enough pain, being a headmaster is probably a hundred times worse! What if I get my own variant of the tiny whisk thief?! What if I have to deal with some dipshit who lives to cuck me at all the time?! I'm not ready to become Endo!"

"I'm joking, I'm joking!" Tate laughed, patting Izuru's back. "Oh yeah, I've been meaning to ask... Why're you carrying a backpack with you? You don't got classes."

"Oh, I'm using it to hold some paperwork." Izuru answered, passing it to Tate.

"Paperwork? What do you mean- H-HOLY SHIT!"

"Ah, I see you've found the masterpiece I worked on while in-"

"A-are these papers f-for real?! Y-you're adopting Harui-chan?!"

"What? No. That legal crap only makes me and Ibuki Harui's guardians, not her parents..." Izuru sweatdropped, snatching the backpack from Tate's hands.

After putting away the documents related to Harui, he grabbed a notebook that he passed over to Tate.

""Cardight!! Vanguard: Heiwa"... Huh, what's this, Miyuki?"

"I've spent the last six months compiling my memories ever since the second year started into twenty nine chapters. I was doing it to spend the time, but since I'm swimming in money now, I might aswell adapt my texts into an audio autobiography. I'm thinking of doing the first semester as the first volume and end it with the first time me and Endo fought on the roof, the summer and the second semester as the second and end it with New Yeare visit to Ryuuga's temple, and since not alot happened in the third semester and third year, I'm piling them together as the third and final volume. The last chapter was just me winning the God of Combat, but I'm thinking of adding my glorious return to Japan to it." Izuru explained with a very confident smirk.

"Miyuki... This the worst idea you ever had, you can't narrate to save your life!"

"Bet." He said, taking the notebook off Tate's hands and jumping off the bench. "Ahem... Honour-!"

Izuru's complete lack of narration skills not only made the first volume tank, but also make him put the project on hold until someone found the notebook years later and narrated them like a true pro, wink wink.

"T-that's enough, Miyuki! Spare me of your terrible narration!" Tate screeched, rushing to steal the notebook from Izuru's hands for his own sake.

"My narration isn't terrible, people just aren't cultured!"

"I've never heard something so objectivelly wrong in my life..." He sweatdropped. "Also, minor criticism, but isn't only doing twenty nine chapters kinda off-putting? Why not round it to thirty?"

"Hm... You're right on that, one volume being shorter does feel weird..." Izuru sighed, rubbing his chin. "But I just don't know what to make the last chapter about..."

A certain narrator does, however!

But in order to do that, we'll have to skip ahead, this time, further than ever before, to a Heiwa that was capable of saving itself!

That's right...

It wasn't a joke when I said we'd be in 2082 by the time the story was over!
