Sagashiteru sagashiteru mirai wo shitte iku

The opening starts off with the camera flying through Heiwa's hallways.

Kitto mada mada todokanai

The camera arrives at the door of the old student council room, which now serves as the headmaster's office, and goes through it. Inside the office are Izuru, sitting behind the desk, Aimi and Endo, by his side, and Harui, Yukie and Satoru sitting in the couches

Yorube nai bokura no uta wo

The camera then flies through the window and reaches Heiwa's gates, focusing on Hibiki, Ichika, Taro, Miho, Sawa and Ichijou as they arrive at the school,. Taro then proceeds to drop the studiest line anyone ever heard and becomes the victim of Ichika's large amounts of violence. Sawa and Miho try to get her off him, but Ichijou and Hibiki cheer her on.

The scene is cut by three images flashing by. The first is the Ryuzaki & Co. headquarters, now with the name Mikazuchi Technologies; the second is a poster saying "M.G.P." with the title "Messiah Grand Prix" under it; and the final one is an image of a team learboard. The lowest ranking team is Team Gits, and the names and ranks of their members appear under it. Taro is listed as Category Two, Hibiki as Category Six and Ichika as Category Seven.

The learboard begins fading away, giving way for the title "Cardfight!! Vanguard: Heiwa" to appear one final time. That's right, we're almost done.

Todokanai omoi da to shitte shizundeiru kokoro wo waratteiru

The opening shifts over to Miho, Ichijou and Sawa, as they go their separate ways, and splits into three. Miho goes to the library with Ichika, Ichijou heads over to the new student council room, and Sawa goes to the cafeteria.

Ima isshun no shoudou mou sonna no wa kekkou

The scene suddenly changes, and the three are by themselves in a virtual-looking Heiwa. They each put on a special pair of glasses, making a card slowly descend in front of them.

Ichijou holds his hand before the card, making it shatter, which in turn leads Bastion to appear.

Miho breaks her card with a fan, making Seraph Snow appear.

And Sawa punches through her card, making Lianorn appear.

The screen stops being split in three and the three units come together, with Bastion being back to back with Seraph Snow and Lianorn.

Mayowanaide bokura wa zutto susunde iku tame ni te wo toriatteiru

The opening moves on to behind the school, where Mitsuaki, Kaito and Misora sit under the school's shade. Misora is pouting and blatantly staring at Mitsuaki as he looks at some photos in his phone, and since Kaito doesn't want to be part of whatever that is, he's just watching some Ultraman Decker on his phone. Come on Toei, even Ultraman's doing it, upload the episodes on Youtube.

Kitto itsu shika mieru mono ga aru hazu

The screen is split into three again. Kaito and Misora put on their glasses, making their cards begin to descend, and since Mitsuaki already wears glasses, his card just appears.

Kaito grabs his card and points it at the sky, making it shatter. Orfist Regis then appears, flying towards the camera while expanding in size.

Misora kicks her card, in turn making Baromagnes appear.

Mitsuaki lets his card fall on his hand and breaks within his fist, making Flagburg's long neck rise from behind him.

The screen stops being split and the three units come together. Baromagnes stands on top of Orfist Regis' head while Flagburg looks down on them from the distance. Yes, he's that big.

Shousoukan ni aorarete imi no nai kotoba wo sagashitemo

Next up is the roof, where Nikaido is napping while Kahono is screaming at Gentoku. Gentoku shrugs it off and offers her some money for candy. What a good uncle, it's not like his dad married three times by now.

Itsu nantoki mo seikai ga tarinai

Nikaido wakes up thanks to all the shouting and puts on her glasses, in turn making Kahono stop her bickering and putting hers aswell. Gentoku puts his glasses on aswell, though his are a special version. They're sunglasses with silver lens.

The screen doesn't split for once, and their cards begin to descend.

Kahono simply slaps hers, making Feltyroza appear behind her.

Nikaido grabs her card and hugs it, making it turn into Trickstar.

Gentoku grabs his card and throws it at the sky, where it becomes Mahar Nirvana.

Hora baitai nante nan datte ii no tsutaetai nara hakkiri shite yo

The scene changes to a third year classroom, where the only students are Izumi, Yasahiro and Mutsuki. They already have their glasses on, so their units are there already.

Izumi is sitting at her desk and using Hexaorb's thighs as a pillow.

Mutsuki is standing by the window, with Gravidia Nordlinger's eyes peeking into the room.

Yasahiro is leaning against the wall, with Greedon by his side.

Midway through the verse, the scene changes to the new student council room, where Takeru and Dan are. They too have their glasses on already, so their units are present aswell.

Dan is sitting on a couch, typing away on his computer with Eugene by his side. He's probably calculating how much damnation playing Eugene provides.

On the other hand, Takeru is sitting behind his desk, scrolling through the leaderboard list. His unit, Bruce, stands behind him like a bodyguard.

Ima nigotte saraete tadashite koshiraete

It's back to the headmaster's office but not really, since Harui, Yukie and Satoru are walking out.

They don't put their glasses on, but their shadows become their main units. Satoru's is Rorowa, Yukie's is Tamayura, and Harui's, while split into Ashlei and Raging Form at first, forms Thegrea.

Inochi mo keshiki mo subete wa ukiyo

The scene changes to an office in the Mikazuchi Technologies building, where Takatora sits behind his desk working. He coughs but gets back to work, making Magnolia, who was laying on a couch in the office, raise his head.

Ima da ni koko wa akenai

Bakin steps into the office to bring Takatora some tasty paperwork. Behind her stands Obscudeid, probably thinking of how Bushi robbed him of being the coolest deck ever.

Zutto sagashiteru sagashiteru mirai wo shitte iku

The opening goes back to Heiwa, now focusing on Hibiki, Ichika and Taro, all of which already have their glasses on. Taro has an even more special version of glasses, and it aren't even glasses, it's a metallic visor with three horizontal red lines.

The screens splits into three as their cards begin to descend, but then comes together once again.

Ichika reaches for hers, making it ignite into a blue blaze that turns into Bavsargra wielding Aadhitya and Swayanbuh. She twirls her spear and swings it down, blasting a wave of dragons made of blue flames forward.

After the flames go by, Taro breaks his card with a confidant grin. Doing so makes the entire image be sucked into the card like a black hole. Out of the black hole comes Taro's hand, which grabs a golden coin. The camera pans out, revealing he's sitting on a golden throne atop a mountain of gold and jewels as golden coins rain down. Behind it is Drajeweled.

One of the falling golden coins is taken by the window and followed by the camera, which reaches Youth. The winds swirl around him, creating within them pieces of black armour. Once completed, the armour equips itself to Youth, forming Youthberk. Its lone eye shines red as his two Revolforms, Zest and Gust, step out from behind him.

Kitto mada mada todokanai

The three units head out to fight their respective opponents.

Ichika and Bavsargra take on Misora and Baromagnes, who pushes all of blaze maiden's attacks away with his gravity, and then goes on the offensive himself.

On the other hand, Taro and Drajeweled take on Kaito and Orfist Regis. Drajeweled vomits a wave of purple flames, burning away the Shadow Army tokens. Taro reaches his hand out, as cards fly around him as if he was the eye of a tornado.

And finally, Youthberk flies towards the skies, swapping between forms as Flagburg's lightning shoots him down. On the ground, Hibiki and Mitsuaki clash heads. Mitsuaki's looking calm but confidant, while Hibiki is gritting his teeth.

Yorube nai bokura no uta wo tadotte ikitain da

The opening shifts over to the end of the school day, as Hibiki, Ichika and Taro are heading out of school. Taro grabs his phone and projects an holographic version of the leaderboards, and their asses are still dead last.

They sigh but move on with their day, and are soon joined by Miho, Sawa and Ichijou.

Izuru and Endo watch them leave from the school's rooftop. They share a glance and smile.

Tsuzuite iku mirai wo

The opening ends with Izuru arriving home, just in time for Ibuki to greet him.
