The opening begins with a zoomed in shot of the chain in Junpei's jacket, followed by a zoomed in shot of Tate's cleats, and then a zoomed in shot of Izuru's topknot.

Then, the scene changes to the three walking up the stairway leading to Gakuganji, and as they walk the title "Vanguard: Heiwa" appears behind them.

In the short instrumental that follows, Raging Form, Giraffa and Scharhrot are shown in quick succession.

Kaze ga oshiete iru
The wind tells me

In Heiwa's garden, the Heiwa students are looking up.

Tsuyosa wa jibun no naka ni
That my strength is inside me

In Shinjuku's, Nakano, Yasuke, Ibuki and Shin look up.

Osore sae norikonaseru nara
If I can handle even fear

The scene changes to Junpei, as images of his moments with Yasuke and Nakano begin flashing next to him.

Shinka shiteku
Then I'll move forward

The scenes changes to Tate, and the same happens, though in his case, it's images of his moments with Izuru and Ban.

Kaze wo kitte hashiru
I run, slicing through the wind

It changes to Izuru, the same happens, but his images are his moments with Ibuki and Harui.

Tomadoi mo mayoi mo sute
Throwing away my confusion

The scene changes to Gakuganji, who stands at the top of the stairway. As he sees the three approaching, he turns his back to them and walks into the temple behind him.

Dokomademo tooku e ikeru to
Shinjite mitai
I want to believe
That I can go anywhere, no matter how far

The three arrive at the temple and walk into it, walking past Endo and Airi in the process.

Jirenma ni sakebu koe wa
Fukanou wo kowashiteku
A voice cries out amid my dilemma
Breaking down all impossibilities

The scene changes to Junpei standing in the storage room in Shinjuku Tech, followed by Tate standing under the bridge where Izuru fought Junpei, and then Izuru standing in front of his and Ibuki's house.

The three turn their backs to those places and walk forward, shattering them like glass and revealing Gakuganji stand across them.

The three put their Fusion Cards in their buckles, and their V Buckles on their waists, and start making the poses they make before they pull the side handle.

They their side handles and yell out "Stand Up!".

The scene changes to Tate, as Scharhrot, blasting the bones on his back at Gakuganji, who, as Daihouzan, evades the attacks and leaps at Tate, drawing his sword.

Tashika ni tojikomete
I know it's inside me

Gakuganji swings his sword at Tate, but his blocked by Giraffa's pincer and pushed back.

Mienai chikara michibiku yo blade
An invisible power guides me, blade

Raging Form appears behind Gakuganji and swings his axe down at him, but Gakuganji sheaths his sword, making large cuts appear all throughout the bodies of the three units and forcing them to fall.

Nemuri mezameru toki
When I awake from sleeping

Izuru, Tate and Junpei lay on the ground, following the attack on their units. But then, Izuru starts to stand up.

Mirai kanashimi ga owaru basho
I'm in the future, the place where my sadness ends

Tate and Junpei stand aswell, and the three, powerless and near defeat, charge at Gakuganji.
