-Part 7
"What yet another nice day."
Izuru stepped out of his house and yet the bright sunday sun, this time in a more formal combo of clothes consisting of a white turtle shirt under a black trench coat, with blue jeans and dark brown shoes, and this time, lacking the titular headphones he wore around his neck. He got out his phone and turned on the screen to check the time, it being little past one in the afternoon. After returning to the belt phone case on the back part of his belt, hidden by his blazer, he sighed.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!" Izuru groaned, with his hands on his head. "What the hell was that answer?! How does one blurt out something as stupid as that when told something like that?! I've played the right games, I should know the right answers!"
He was refering to the words spoken to him yesterday, which he began playing on his mind.
"Izuru-kun! I... I love you!"
And then the answer he'd thought would best handle the situation.
"I love you... Oh, the poem by Okita Daishouri? I didn't knew they began teaching that on the first year, I thought it was a third year only thing. Well, I did prepare myself in case that ever came up on a test, it's really not that hard. The basic premise of the poem is that the narrator feels an intense love for a woman in a coma, who happens to be his patient. She was his childhood friend, but she was never able to confess his feelings for her and vice-versa because of an arranged marriage with the man was now the president of the hospital where the narrator worked at. Basically, one day the woman wakes up and the narrator confesses his feelings and the two run away, without ever looking back and consedering the consequences of their actions. In another words, it's a poem praising anarchy over governmental systems. I don't know why it's being taught in high school but your guess is as good as mine. Just write that the writer wanted to live outside the bounds of high society crap or something. Well then, see ya."
"Izu-chan, you really are becoming older. Not even your grandfather uses one of these and he's like a hundred years old."
Crouching behind Izuru was the bearer of those words, an adult woman with dark brown hair in a pink shirt and white skirt with a blue apron put on, who held his coat up to check his phone case.
"Let go of me, you old hag!" Izuru said, leaping away from the woman and then looking at her. "My pockets are for my hands, not my phone! And that's a lie, it was grandpa who gave me this one!"
"It's not very nice to call that to your mother, Izu-chan." The woman said. She was Sawada Yu, Izuru's mother. "By the way, did you scream earlier? I heard something weird from the garden and came running to make sure you were safe!"
"I wasn't shouting, I was just contemplating my poorly made wording choices." Izuru said with a click of his tongue.
"Ah, each day you grow closer to Ryuu-chan!"
"You shouldn't be proud of that, that guy began all of the bad traditions in this family!"
"And now you're about to follow on his footsteps!" Yu giggled. "First a date with your cute senpai, and the next moment I'm body slamming you on the floor for asking me to give you money to marry her right away!"
"Get out of dreamland, you old hag! I'm not doing any of that! And it's not a date, it's a... Friend hang out because midterms kind of- Point is, it's not a date!"
"Ahh look at you, you're so flustered! It reminds me of when your dad and I went on our first date!" She beamed.
"...the stereotype of mothers going crazy after their son mentioning a female friend truly is real and I'm its number one victim." Izuru said and placed his hands in his pockets. "I'm gonna be late at this point so I'm gonna dip. She might have a personal driver to take her there but good old me has a train to catch."
"Bye bye! Have fun at Ikebukuro!"
"Maybe I should have offered to go pick up Miyuki-kun instead of having him take the train..." Chika muttered, looking at her phone.
Sitting by herself at the Global Ring Theatre in Ikebukuro was Chika, either checking the time or looking at the people who walked by to pass the time, awaiting for Izuru's arrival for the past twenty minutes ever since she had arrived at the location. Out of her school uniform and in more casual clothes, Chika wore a white wool blouse designed to reveal her shoulders, a black plait skirt with with black tights and dark brown shoes, with a small crossbody purse and grey-framed glasses with circular lens, only worn as a style choice.
"Sheesh, he's taking so long..."
Giving reason to the saying 'Speaking of the devil', Izuru arrived right as she said that. He chuckled and gave her a small wave.
"Sorry for the wait, senpai. I got lost at the station."
"I-it's fine, Miyuki-" Chika raised her head and became silent. "...kun?"
"Hm? Is there a gang member behind me?!" Izuru suddenly turned around, and being confronted with nothing but air, slumped his shoulders. "My genius plan of coming to Ikebukuro to see a gang member failed..."
"N-no no, it's not that, it's just that... I never expected you have such a modern style. Tate-kun always described you outside as a lazy lump with no care for his looks." Chika explained.
'Ah. He's taking one to the head first thing it tonight's games, that's for sure.' Izuru thought. "I'm not that much of a lazy lump, it's just that I'm a max minimalist on the clothing side of things. My plan was to live off whatever clothes my brother would give me to after they stopped fitting him, but as fate, being the merciless cunt he is towards my wallet, would have it... I can't wear them by one single teeny weeny size difference... So I just rip off whatever cool looking clothes I see and order them online."
"Pffft." Chika cackled, then gave out a small giggle, but then just began laughing.
"Yes, I laugh too when I see my bills at the end of the month. Genetics are fun."
"I-it isn't that, I swear, Miyuki-kun." Chika said, finishing her laugh. "I know you're vocal about certain things in school, but I never expect you to be this open outside school."
"You know what they say. Jack of all trades, master of none... And that was something that sounded way better in mind, I think I'm gonna go home now."
"No no, it sounded good in it's own weird way!" Chika chuckled, rushing off her bench to join Izuru's side. "Now then. Shall we get going?"
The first destination of the afternoon, requested by Chika and much to Izuru's surprise, was a local game arcade Izuru was familiar with after some visits with his brother a couple of years back, called "Ikebukuro Game Kingdom".
Upon entering the arcade illuminated by the lights of the long rows of game machines spread out across the bottom floor of the building, Izuru looked around to see the new machines added ever since his last visit.
"Eh, they added some good stuff ever since the last time I came here. But they still took away my highest record when the initial machine got busted. Stupid assholes." Izuru scoffed. "Anywho, why an arcade, sen- Senpai?"
Chika stood next to him gripping tightly onto the strings of her bar, staring at all the machines in pure awe. If not for Izuru pinching her nose after waving his hand a few times in front of her face, she wouldn't have awakened from her trance.
"Eek, that wasn't needed, Miyuki-kun!" Chika pouted, rubbing her nose between her fingers.
"You looked like you were a man in the middle of greek mythology and had just arrived at an island where a woman with a large bust awaited you but you were a gentlemen and stared at her eyes instead." Izuru chuckled. "And that's another thing that sounded way better in my head..."
"I-it's okay, I'm familiar with the Medusa mythos too! It's just that everything was so bright and the lights were so beautiful... I've seen anything like this inside a building before!"
"You never were to an arcade? I know it's mostly a guy-type of place but even some girls come here. I swear I've seen one girl enter an arcade before. I guess the student council last year really had you busy."
"R-right, I was a very busy person with everything going on." Chika nodded, slightly frowning.
Upon seeing that frown, Izuru pounded his chest with a pround smirk.
"Worry not, Mitsuki Chika-senpai! I, long time arcade member Sawada Izuru, shall be your guide into this underworld of old games that will trigger you for their difficulty and newer games that will trigger you for RNG! Whoever thought making an arcade version of a gacha game was smoking the type of stuff you can really only find in western culture!" Izuru proudly declared.
"M-miyuki-!"
"Allow me to guide you down this rabbit hole, senpai!" Izuru exclaimed, grabbing Chika's hand and running away from the entrance.
The first game was one Izuru was too familiar with, and not for any good reasons. If anything, that game's mobile version was the bane of his existence for the countless hours (and money burned away without his parents ever knowing) he put into it only to gain nothing in return.
Standing in front a of sky-blue game machine with images of the games' characters, Izuru got out his arcade membership card from his wallet and waved it around with a confident smirk.
"Some may see me as quite the unlucky man ever since I ended up running in last year's sports festival and losing against Tate, but when it comes to this game, I am the epitome of good luck. Some would call me he who stands upon the Mount Ganbatte." A blunt lie mentioning a non-existing place.
"Pfft..." Like when they were back at the Global Ring, Chika first cackled, then let out a soft giggle, and then just began laughing loudly.
"I know it's a corny lie but come on, I'm trying here..."
"I-it isn't that, Miyuki-kun! I swear!" Chika said, wipping away a small tear. "It's just that I never saw you being like this at school. So pumped up about something, so expressive, so... Shining, in a sense."
"A-anyway!" Izuru coughed, looking away. "Allow me to show you the true extent of my luck skill. With a swipe from this card, I shall summon one of the best characters in this franchise! It took my time to get it, but I swear upon my grave that I shall summon the greatest character in the franchise! The king of conquerors, the ultimate king of Macedon, Alexander the Great himself!" Izuru swipped the card and turned to face Chika. "Or how he is better known, Iskan-"
"Ohhh, she's so cute! It's a little purple haired girl in a cloak with a scythe! The game Tate-kun says you sink your time in for no reason has such cute characters!"
'That little gremlin child is getting curb stomped one of these days...' Izuru thought as he looked at the screen with a despair-filled stare. "Ah... I summoned Ana... She is my favourite character in the game but still..."
"I don't mind it, Miyuki-kun. She's so cute that I couldn't ask for anything else!" Chika exclaimed, picking up the card featuring the summoned character as it left the machine. "So she's called Medusa? And we were just talking about her!"
"You've betrayed me, Asakawa Yuu..." Izuru muttered. "No matter, I shall keep trying until I-!"
"It's fine, Miyuki-kun! I'm happy with what you got for me, you don't have to waste any more money! I'll treasure it forever!"
"You're too nice, senpai... But I must keep trying!"
"Let's go check another game!" Chika exclaimed, pulling Izuru away from the machine.
"I'll come back for you, Iskandar! Just you wait!"
The next game was yet another one well known by Izuru, titled "Miyuki's Space Adventure". It was a shooting game about a space ranger shooting aliens and nothing else. Just a raw fun game lacking any bit of a potential storyline.
"Miyuki's Space Adventure..." Chika mumbled as she looked at the toy gun in her hands. "Wait, is your nickname-"
"Yup. Not even Tate himself has figured it out yet but he's a dumbass so what can we do." Izuru shrugged. "Me and my brother got the highest record on this game before they changed the machines some years ago and used Miyuki as our name. We got so many tickets out of it that we bought the headphones displayed on the prize room." Izuru explained, twirling his gun on his finger before starting to shoot a barrage against the enemies.
"Eh? Your brother sounds like an amazing-"
"He is not." Izuru said bluntly. "He's the worst of the worst, a lazy bump who began the three cursed traditions of the Sawada family. The first, being overworked. The second, having the presence of a violent maid in your life. The third, a questionable luck in the field of love. In his case, it was proposing to his current wife back when they were in high school."
"Romatic!" Chika beamed.
"You should have seen his face when our mom body slammed him for asking her for money to get married right away. I'm sad I didn't get to record it." Izuru chuckled.
"It seems your brother is a true dumbass, in all senses of the word." Chika giggled.
"Exactly!"
"By the way, I couldn't help but notice that there's something on your belt."
"I see you've taken notice to my ultimate fashion choice, senpai. It is indeed a belt phone case, the perfectly place where to carry my phone. My pockets are for my hands and-"
"Miyuki-kun, are you one of those people scared of somehow breaking your phone while it's in your pocket?"
"I am, nothing terrifies me more than randomly squatting and shattering my screen between my leg and whatever material makes up my pants, the phone goes in the belt case or a pocket in my jacket and nowhere else."
After leaving the arcade and picking their next destination, Izuru and Chika walked through the filled streets side by side, eying their surroundings. Eventually, Chika stopped in front of a clpthing atore's display to look at the displayed products.
"Ah, it's a shame the leftover winter cold is almost gone, that scarf looks so cute!" Chika commented. "Miyuki-kun, what do you- Miyuko-kun?"
Izuru's eyes were focused om a store on the other side of the street, staring in awe at the diamond in the rough that was the store that still stood despite the modern times.
"I can't believe it... It's a... It's a..." Izuru muttered.
"O-oh my, that's amazing..."
"After almost fourty years of streaming services owning the system, a movie rental shop still exists... I thought they had gone extinct around 2020 but one actual exists here in Ikebukuro... S-senpai! I beg of you, we must go inside it! This is an one in a lifetime experience!"
"E-eh?! Y-you don't have to beg f-for anything, Miyuki-kun! I think there's an old DVD player somewhere back at home, so this might actually lead to something!"
"F-for real?!"
"Mhm!" Chika nodded. "My father has a room dedicated to projecting old movies, and old movies by his standards must mean DVDs!"
"In that case... Let us take a step forward into a brand new experience!"
And some moments later, they walkes out of the shop with the DVD case of an old action movie at hand.
"Hmmm, maybe this was a rash decision." Izuru said.
"Paying all that just to rent an 80s movie about Sasaki Kojiro's battle against Saito Hajime sounds as impulsive as it gets." Chika giggled.
"The Hajime on the cover looked like the type of guy who'd be the storm approaching. My impulsive ass is too used to associating Saito Hajime as a Vergil looking guy. And I'm pretty sure these two didn't live on the same time periods. Oh god, we picked a terroble movie. I can tell."
"Ahah..." Chika chuckled softly in the hopes to lift the mood. "W-why don't we go have something to eat?"
"Yeah, we have been walking for a while now. So, what're you feeling up to, senpai? There's probably a cafe somewhere around here or-"
"A-actually... Can we go to a place that serves ramen?" Chika asked.
The next destination was a restaurant close to where the two were, vaguely known by Izuru for the occasional visit he and Tate made whenever they came to Ikebukuro, and as per Chika's request, instead of having their meal in the main room with most of other clients, they instead went to a private room to have their meal, where they sat on coushions placed around a small table.
"Heh, I'm surprised by your choice. Never thought you'd want to come to a ramen place... And ask for a private room at that." Izuru sweatdropped.
"E-eh?! I-i- I-it's just that- I never had r-ramen in public so I don't want to make a mess of myself s-surrounded by people!" Chika explained.
"Wait. Really? Pfff, well isn't that something I never thought I'd hear." Izuru chuckled. "Where did the old student council even go to eat on special occasions? To a curry place?"
"W-we didn't go anywhere, I just celebrated in the council room..." Chika said quietly. "And I rarely ever have ramen back at home, so I'm not very used to how to eat it right. That's kinda of embarassing for someone who never left Japan." She chuckled.
"Eh, I can't blame you. I spent most of time during my childhood using a knife and fork. I think my mother took pictures of me trying to eat ramen with a knife and fork and instead dunking my head on the soup when I was much younger." Izuru chuckled aswell.
"Oh?! That sounds adorable! I must see them!"
"No way, no way! Even I can get embarassed at certain things!"
"Are you ready to order?" The waiter asked from outside the room.
"R-right! I'll have... Hm... I'll have... W-what do you recommend, Miyuki-kun?"
"If you're going with ramen... I can only suggest the one with bell peppers and fried pork. It's the absolute, greatest, ultimate way of having noodles of any kind! Bell peppers are the greatest vegetable to ever sprout from this earth, and fried pork is the only type of meat anyone could ever ask for! Any ramen that isn't ramen with bell peppers and fried pork isn't even ramen! ...ignoring the ones listed on the ramen page of this menu."
"In that case, I'll take that!"
"And the sir?"
"Didn't you heard me, man? I'll have the same, obvious-"
"The clients before you ordered the same so we only have enough pork for the lady's ramen. I apologize in behalf of the restaurant. Allow us to repay with a free side dish."
"-ly... Ah fine, I'll take the ramen with the spicy mapo tofu. And bring some rice with grilled eel as side dishes."
"Understood. Your food will arrive shortly."
"Karma is truly something, no doubt about it." Izuru nodded with his arms crossed.
"You can just have some of mine, Miyuki-kun." Chika sweatdropped.
"I mustn't! You must enjoy the entire bowl by yourself, or else you will not have the finext experience of your life! Tate says dating is good but has he ever tasted the greatest ramen bowl in the world?! He has not!"
"Tate-kun also says that you a very lonely person."
"...senpai, that heathen eats raw potatoes in order to practise his russian voodoo magic, the truth in his words is as real as the chances of me winning a race in a sports festival." Izuru said bluntly. 'Gremlin child. Curb stomped. FIRST THING IN THE MORNING!'
"E-eh?! Is that true?!"
"Yes, I can assure you that my words are as true as the fact of the sun rising tomorrow, senpai. That man only speaks lies to deceive others of his supernatural acts with his evil voodoo magic! You know he rarely studies, so how do you think he got that passing grade on math on the second semester's midterms last year?"
"T-that is true!"
"Indeed! It's a mystery of the-!"
"Sir, your food is here." The waiter said.
"-occult... How fast are you guys?"
"Apparently faster than you in a race, according to your earlier words about never winning a race, sir."
And so Izuru's heart grew a little colder.
"These damn employees are the worst!" Izuru grunted, slamming down his empty rice bowl after eating it all in a flash to drown the pain from that earlier comment.
"This grilled eel is delicious!" Chika nodded, placing down her bowl like a normal person. "I heard that the kendo club liked rice with grilled eel and I can see why!"
"Because most of us are a bunch of weebs who watched that one samurai anime where they ate rice with grilled eel for one episode and then never again."
"Eh?"
"Nevermind. Now, let's get into the main dish!"
"W-wait, you forgot to clean you face!" Chika exclaimed. She grabbed and napkin and softly rubbed it next to Izuru's bottom lip, wipping away a leftover rice grain. "There, much-"
The two blinked as they stared at each other and rapidly looked away.
"I-i mean, w-what if that grain fell into your bowl and ruined your meal?!"
"E-exactly! I-it could destroy the entire experience! A-anyway, thanks for the food!"
"Thanks for the food!" Chika clapped her hands and began eating her noodles. "Oh my- These are amazing!"
"Yes, these noodles do taste- Hmph!" Izuru placed his bowl down and shugged down his entire cup of water. "Spicy!"
"If you can't handle spicy food then why did you order it?!"
"I can handle it, just not as good as some other either people!"
"Then just have some of mine!"
"I can't, you need to eat all of them to fully enjoy the experience!"
"I'm already enjoying the experience so shut up and eat!" Chika exclaimed, forcing some her noodles into Izuru's mouth. Looking up at his surprised face, she smiled with a slight blush. "Today's been alot of fun, Miyuki-kun."
Back outside, the duo walked through a narrow street where a small street marker was being held. Izuru walked a step behind Chika with his hands in his pockets, whilst she walked ahead with a proud smile.
"That was cruel, senpai." Izuru sighed.
"It had to be done." Chika replied.
"You tackled me to the floor the moment I reached for my wallet! I should have been the one to pay for the meals, not you!"
"What kind of senpai would I be if I let my houhai pay for my meal?!" Chika asked, looking back.
"Well... What kind of kouhai would I be if I let my senpai pay for my meal?!"
"E-eh... H-huh... I-i mean... H-hey look at those cute earrings!" Chika said, shifting her gaze to a small stand that sold acessories, and focusing on the earring section. "Hm... I was never the earring type but... These heart shaped earrings are so cute! What do you think, Miyuki-kun?"
"Hm... These blue snowflake-shaped ones don't seem that bad either."
"Eh, they also look super cute! Alright, I'll take those then!"
"But to be honest, I don't understand the first thing about acessories at all. My phone case is the only I need."
"Yeah the only one you need to spend the rest of your life alone."
"R-right..."
"I-i'm sorry! I-i was just joking, I swear!"
"Well, since you hurt me that much... I guess you'll just have to do something to pay me back."
"E-eh?!"
"Hey shop guy-san, I'll be taking these earrings. And throw that necklace with the same blue snowflake." Izuru said, drawing his wallet from his jacket.
"W-wait!"
"This will repay for that insult that could have made my heart grow a little colder." Izuru replied, giving the man behind the stand the money for the acessories. "Here, let me help out."
"M-miyuki-kun..." Chika blushed as Izuru tucked her hair behind her ears and put the earrings in her ears.
"Heh, I guess I do have a keen eye. They really do a combo with your eyes."
"Y-you moron, Miyuki-kun..." Chika snatched the necklacke from Izuru's hands and put it around his neck. "T-there, we're even..."
"Thanks, senpai. Hm? It seems there's something going on there." Izuru commented, looking at the crowd at the end of the street.
"What do you think it is?" Chika asked, looking back.
"Only one way to find. Make sure you don't get separated from me, senpai." Izuru said, grabbing hold of Chika's hand and dashing head-first into the crowd.
"W-wait, M-miyuki-kun!"
"You really didn't had to come all this way, Miyuki-kun. The next bus won't come by in an hour, you didn't had to wait that long." Chika said.
"Nah. It's fine like this, senpai."
Izuru and Chika walked side by side under the moonlight, alongside the tall metal fances that limited the territory of a mansion. The day had come to an end, but an unexpected call from Chika's driver Moriarty lead to her taking the bus back home, which stopped near the area, and as per Izuru's choice, he walked her from the stop to the front gates.
"Here we are." Chika said, stopping in front of the gates.
"Wait so all of that belonged to your family...? Sheesh, there's so much ground one can't even figure out what to do with it." Izuru chuckled.
"It's nothing that special, Miyuki-kun. I don't care how big my house or how extensive the ground around is. In fact, it can get lonely being by yourself in that house. That's why I'm blessed to have Moriarty-san and Ryougi-san in my life. Well... I guess this is where we part ways, Miyuki-kun. I had alot of fun today. Thank you for taking time out of your day for this." Chika said, bowing.
"You don't have to says thanks for anything, senpai. I should be the one thanking you for actually wanting to spend time with a bump like me." Izuru chuckled. "I had fun too. We should repeat this after we're done with midterms."
"E-eh? Mhm!" Chika nodded.
"I'll see you tomorrow at school. Have a good night, senpai." Izuru said, waving at the purple-haired girl from behind the closed gates.
"You too, Miyuki-kun."
Chika waved back briefly, and then looked at the extensive path from the gates to the actual mansion, devoid of light or life. Upon remembering the bright, filled day she had as she watched over the dark and empty path that awaited, Chika began taking deep breaths, the feeling of uneasiness in each one being bigger than the last.
But this feeling of uneasiness came to an end once she felt a hand touching back. Looking to her left, she saw Izuru smiling at her.
"The path from here to the front doors is kinda big, isn't it? I have time so I might aswell just walk you there too."
"Miyuki-kun... Mhm." Chika nodded. "A-actually... Since you have so much time until the bus comes, why don't we go to the greenhouse behind the mansion?"
"Sounds lovely."
And so they made their way down the lightless path together, but instead of stopping in front of the mansion's doors, they made their way around it and into a small greenhouse located behind it. As they entered it, they came across long rows of plant vases holding variously coloured flowers, aswell as a small workbench with an unfinished flower crown on it and two stolls under it, with a couch behind it.
"I still don't get the whole plant raising thing. Is it the new trendy thing to do?" Izuru asked.
"Ahah, I don't really know. I've been doing this ever since I started high school." Chika chuckled.
"I really need a hobbie that doesn't include me burning my eyes in front of a screen..." Izuru sweatdropped as he look around, though his eyes quickly fell on the unfinished flower crown. "Senpai... Did you made this?"
"I began trying to make a flower crown some time ago... But it seems I never managed to finish it. I don't really know how to make one the right way."
"I see... Mind if I take a try?"
"Eh? You know how to make flower crowns?"
"Someone... Taught me some time ago." Izuru answered, pulling out one of the stolls and sitting down.
"Who?" Chika asked, taking a seat next to him.
Izuru's mind trailed off to an old memory as he heard that question.
It was from when he was much younger, during the time his older brother was still in middle school. It was the end of the day, making the living room of the Sawada household be a mix of black shadows and orange light. Izuru's small hands struggled to finish a flower crown, but they were helped by a pair of much bigger, manly hands.
"Shouto, one of my parents." Izuru answered quietly. "My mother spent some years in the hospital, so Shouto taught me how to make flower crowns for her. Ryuuga was too busy with learning history and different languages for his silly dream of traveling the world, so only I learned how to make these. I always tried to make one every day, even if that meant not spending time with what little friends I had or not study for tests. My biggest concern was always finishing the flower crowns, nothing else."
"Miyuki-kun..."
"Ah. I said some things nobody cared about. My bad for dropping down the mood." Izuru laughed.
"That laugh isn't real, I know it isn't..." Chika muttered and looked away. "These flowers were my friends for the longest I can remember. The reason I never went to an arcade with the student council or go out to eat with them was because we were never truly friends. I was with them because I was a pretty face that'd get votes, and the role of president just happened to fall on me. We never hanged out as friends, we always did things as professionals. So instead I grew these plants and made them the friends I never had during high school. The actual first friend I made was you, Miyuki-kun. Until you reached out to me after you and Aimi-chan won the elections, I was just some friendless girl who happened to have been the student council president. Ah, I said some things nobody cared about. My bad for dropping down the mood." She chuckled.
"Senpai..." Izuru muttered, looking at the finished flower crown. A small smile formed in his face as an idea struck him. He slowly move Chika's stoll to make her face him and placed the flower crown on her head. Then, much to her surprised, he grabbed her hands. "You don't have to worry about a thing, senpai. Even if no one else notices the wonderful person you are, I do. So I'll be here for you. Forever."
"Miyuki... Kun..." Chika looked up at Izuru, his image becoming distorted by the tears forming in her eyes. "Izuru..." She leaned forward, and pressed her lips against his in a gentle kiss.
