-Part 6

Izuru and Aimi hurried to get to Heiwa Academy, both hoping that the delay hadn't affected them so much, but by the time they arrived, a woman awaited them in front of the school's gates. She had long grey hair and brown eyes with a hint of mauve red, and her nails were painted in violet. When it came to her clothing, she wore a black business suit and a black turtle neck, with the cuffs and lower part of her blazer having a clamshell-like design. She also wore earings and necklace of a section sign.

"You're late." The woman said. "Move on to the stage immediately." She commanded.

Aimi and Izuru nodded and entered the school grounds, heading towards the stage that was set up behind the mains chool building. As he walked through the gates, the grey haired woman looked at Izuru with a spiteful glare that she didn't bother to hide when Izuru noticed it.

'I see she hasn't changed at all.' Izuru thought.

Now on the backstage, Aimi and Izuru watched as the grey haired woman from before walked into the main stage from the right side and stopped in front of a wooden podium where the microphone was being held. In the crowd of sitted students in fron the stage, Yumi and Tate watched the ceremony.

"Good morning, students of Heiwa Academy. I will keep this brief. I am Nijimura, the assistant of the current headmaster, and the one who you shall come to in case you have any matter to discuss with the headmaster. Now please rise for headmaster Endo Mitsuaki-sama."

As the students got up from their seats, the woman, Nijimura, walked to the side and bowed as the headmaster entered the stage from the same side she had. The headmaster, Endo Mitsuaki, was a tall and young man with black curtained hair and dark eyes, who wore a black suit over a white shirt with a red tie. The headmaster stopped in front of the counter and bowed to Nijimura, and then to the students.

"Endo Mitsuaki. This is the guy who became the headmaster of Heiwa a year after my brother left."

"Good morning and welcome to what may either be the start or continuation of your lives as high school students. I welcome you to Heiwa Academy with all my heart and soul. Over the years I've been headmaster, I've given freedom to my students, because without freedom, there may not be peace. And that is what Heiwa means. Peace. You can see it on the emblem of your uniforms, the flying dove, representing peace, and the shield, our promise to mantain and uphold peace."

"He's treated Heiwa like if it was some sort business. He separated the student council and Royalty and made the student council the higher student body. The Royalty only serves to represent Heiwa in Vanguard events. He might have given freedom to the students, but the Royalty and student council are cutthroat. He started by organizing an obligatory tournament for all students recorded as Vanguard fighters who had more than five years worth of experience and that have won some small events. The top five get to move on to the Royalty and it's up to him to organize them as King, Queen, Jack, Ace and Joker. As for the student council, to form a party to participate in campaigns, all participants must meet a certain academic criteria. Me and Aimi managed to enter since the two of us were the best students of our year. Because of our good work during our first year, he has decided to not make a second election and the student council will continue as it is, which isn't the best considering we're still lacking a treasurer."

"Heiwa Academy has increased in both popularity and stature over the past four years and with good reason. Our students work as hard as the teachers to maintain a healthy educational environment, whilst also having a perfect balance between school activities and free time."

"Another example of him treating Heiwa as a business. Over the three years he's been here, Heiwa's been skyrocketing lists without anything holding it back. On last year's rankings, Heiwa was placed as the sixth best school in Japan, and the second best school of Tokyo. There's a school on an island, and if that school were to be seen as the educational deity in the ocean, then this one would be the educational deity in the land. If Endo Mitsuaki would have become headmaster while Ryuuga was still in Heiwa, I don't have any doubt he'd use his fame to increase Heiwa's reputation even more."

"I wish you luck in your educational journey with us in Heiwa Academy. Now I will pass the word to the student council."

The headmaster bowed once again to the students and began walking back into the backstage alongside Nijimura. At the same time, Izuru and Aimi began entering the stage. Izuru walked past the headmaster, and for a very brief moment, the two shared a glance.
