Issa island but here goes

1. We gained our independence in 1966 (Thanks britian). My grandma was about 12~ years old when they became independent, so she's older than barbados

2. Sugar cane used to be it's biggest business, but now it's alcohol

3. Their are 11 parishes

4. My favorite place is Bathsheba

FAVORITE FOOD?
Macaroni pie and breadfruit. Also flying fish is the best thing you could ever eat 👌👌👌😣😣

I low-key hate wearing dashikis so probably my long wrap dress I wear everytime we go

HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE YOUR CULTURE?
Their is this big ass festival that goes on in July called cropover, which celebrates our culture.

WHY ARE YOU PROUD OF YOUR CULTURE?
I'm proud of my aboriginal side because even after everyone got their freedoms, we were still treated terribly, and still are

I'm proud of my BAJAN side because we have worked so hard for our independence and are overall strong people
