No Name
The men sit down outside at the local pizza shop on the street Evan used to live on. Jonathan sits with their new kitten in a box while Evan rushes in to order their pizza. While waiting, the photographer sticks his hand in the box and plays with the kitten. He opens the box and takes the kitten out. The kitten lays on Jonathan’s lap. Vibrations from the kitten’s purring sounds from Jon’s leg. “What should we name you?” He questions aloud to the animal, and slowly pets his soft head. Suddenly Evan pops out of the restaurant and sits down, “Our food will be ready shortly- Oh, you’re playing with the kitten, have you come with a name for the little guy yet?” Jonathan smiles at his boyfriend and shakes his head, “No, I mean what about Delirious?” Evan immediately rejects that name, “No, that’s technically your name.” The couple quietly chuckles. “How about Rynx-?”
“No Jonathan! It can’t be our own names,” Evan reminds his boyfriend, both of them laughing. The kitten meows after their laughter. That’s when Evan notices his different colored eyes. “Awe, he has a blue eye with his spot and a brown eye.” Evan gawks at the tiny animal on his boyfriend’s jeans. “What shall we name him?” Jonathan questions once again, the soft black fur rubbing against his pallid hands. The couple sits there, listening to the soft breeze and purring of their new kitten. Jonathan chuckles at his next thought, “It’s like that episode of Spongebob where the jellyfish doesn’t have a name and Spongebob just calls it ‘No Name’.” Evan shakes his head and laughs at his boyfriend’s stupid comment. He smiles at his bright red boyfriend, his photographer, his employer.
“What if we call him Pepperoni?” After Jonathan’s suggestion an audible growling is heard. Evan shakes his head and laughs, “No, you’re just hungry.”
“We should name him after something that special to the both of us. Like how people give their children the first name of someone they felt close to, for the child’s middle name.” A sweet and warm mood floats around the couple as their finger intertwine. Suddenly Jonathan laughs loudly, his “Delirious” laugh. “Oh no, what did you think of?” Evan questions, seldom afraid of the answer. “No, no, we can’t call him Sex,” Jonathan spits out between his laughs. Evan’s face goes dark, “Wow, so creative.” The model playfully kicks the older man in his shin. “Ouch, okay, you wanna go?”
“No! The pizza should be done soon,” Evan half lies. The couple continues chatting, little meows here and there joining their conversation.
“So, how does it feel to be 30?”
“Actually, I don’t turn 30 until 10:04 tonight,” the model outsmarts his employer. “Oh whatever, old man.”
“You’re 5 years older than me.”
“You’re 5 years younger.”
“That’s basically what I just said, but backwards-” Evan is interrupted by their waitress setting down a steaming pizza. They both mumble their “thank you”s and dig in. Jonathan sets the kitten’s box on the ground beside his leg. While they chow down the kitten manages to knock the box over and tumble out of it. Thankfully for the kitten, the collar wasn’t on yet; the bell would have alarmed his owners.
He explores the chair his one owner is sitting in, how it was a weird pattern. The kitten soon becomes bored of the chair and moves onto a flower bed near the black fence surrounding the outside of the restaurant. He plays with the tall flowers, picking petals off of some of them.
Evan notices something moving in the flower bed beside them. He sets his pizza down and stares at the blue flowers moving around. He finally spots the little ball of black playing with the beautiful flowers. An idea hits the younger man, “Blue.” Jonathan stops eating his pizza and looks at his love. “What did you say?”
“Blue,” Evan smiles, “the color of your wonderful eyes, of most of your clothing, and of the flowers our kitten is currently playing in.” Jonathan turns to his side and snatches the kitten up. One blue petal sticks to his paw. Evan chuckles and quickly grabs his phone while his boyfriend plays with the petal on the cat’s poor claw. Evan captures a quick picture of the adorableness. In the picture there’s so much blue. Blue skies, blue eyes, blue hoodie, and a blue petal.
Jonathan confront Evan about the photo, “Ah, so my model has now become my photographer, and I have become the model.” Evan gives his employer a cheeky smile, his dimples blowing his world away. He loves this man so much. Which reminds the photographer, he gets into his satchel and pulls out a tiny red box. Not the type of box you would think of. He didn’t know if he was ready to marry Evan yet. “Here, I have another gift.” Evan gracefully takes the box from Jonathan’s hand. Evan undoes the bow and pulls the lid off of the box. A yarn bracelet sits in the box. It is yellow with a little metal object in the middle. Evan grabs the bracelet and examines the metal object. The name Jonathan is written across it, with a small heart at the end. Evan covers his mouth with his hand and looks up at his love. Jonathan shows Evan his wrist, a blue bracelet on his. He leans closer to show Evan his own name on his lover’s wrist. Evan stands and walks over to his love. His hand runs up to Jonathan’s cheek. The younger man hesitates and finally smashes his lips onto Jonathan’s. “I fucking love you.” Evan mumbles on the lips of his partner. Jonathan chuckles, “I love you too.” Evan goes to sit down again, but Jonathan pulls on his collar, making Evan’s nerves jump. The photographer pulls his model closer, “I’m going to show you how much I love you, as soon as we get home.” The younger man nearly melts right then and there. They get a take out box for their pizza, and ride home with their new kitten and heads full of horniness ready to be taken care of. Evan is going to have the best night of his life.

Y’all, sorry for the lack of updates. None of y’all would probably care to know why.
