Chapter 5, Back to Miyagi

THIRD POV

The girls waved goodbye to Tendo as he watched them go inside the car. They were heading back to Miyagi.

Shirome was hard to wake up last night, she fell asleep at the 3rd movie. The ride back to the Hotel consisted of Ameri trying to not get Shirome killed as she occasionally swayed due to her sleepiness.

Tendo watched as they left, the car getting smaller and smaller. He smiled, he had fun. The gradient head did really remind him of Ameri when they were both still young.

He retreated back to his school, trying to move Shirome as far as it can to the corner of his mind and focus on his training and school instead. Goshiki asked him if Shirome and his cousin left safely, which he just nodded to. Goshiki was confused at how silent he is, but brushed it off.

And so, Shiratorizawa continued training. He successfully forgot about her for a while and focused on his game instead.

"Phew," Shirome sighed as she laid on her bed. It was a rough 5 hour ride, it made her body stiff. She frowned, remembering that they have day practice.

As if on cue, her phone made a ping and she opened it. She saw a text from Kuro.

6:12 PM

Did you get home safely?

To: Kuro ♡

6:12 PM

Yeah, me and Ameri did. Thank you for asking.

6:13 PM

Right, yeah. Her too. Both of you are exempted at practice today by the way. When did both you leave Miyagi?

6:14 PM

12:30 PM.

I see. Rest now, both of you got a match tomorrow.

She left Kuro on seen and set her phone down. Walking to the bathroom with comfortable clothes, she sighed. Miyagi was fun, but Shirome felt like she forgot something. There was something missing.

She wondered what she could have forgot. The cold water dripped on her body as she thought deeply. Her eyes almost twitched in annoyance.

Finally done showering, she put a bath bomb on the tub that was filled with warm water. She watched as the bath bomb's color spread. She sighed again before chilling on the tub.

What could I possibly forget? She thought.

She lowered herself on the tub, blowing slightly to make bubbling noises. Then she jolted up with sudden realization.

I forgot to ask for Satori's contacts. She winced.

After resting on the warm bath, she got up and rinsed. She wore the towel robe and grabbed her phone off her nightstand. She texted Ameri.

6:59 PM

I forgot to ask for Satori-nii's contacts. Could I have it please?

Changing into her nightdress, she let her hair air dry. She cleansed her face with a face cleanser and combed her wet hair. She grabbed her phone and opened the curtains as she stared at the purple and pink sky. She opened her phone.

The gradient head scrolled through her contacts while waiting for Tendo to text, she came across a familiar name.

I totally forgot about Eita-senpai. She mentally facepalmed.

She snickered and waited for his reply, he did immediately.

The small girl stifled a laughter as she saw his text, meanwhile the boy was smiling behind his screen.

The boy frowned immediately as he felt his heart break.

The boy almost cried out of relief and adorableness, he clutched his heart and inhaled sharply. He squeezed his eyes shut a he savored the warm fluttery feeking he's experiencing.

She chuckled as she closed the curtains of her window. She flopped on her bed on her stomach and set an alarm for tomorrow. The boy made her forget the usual schedule of her crying at night and waking up with a heavy head due to continuous crying.

She closed her phone, dozing off to dreamland. Completely forgetting about waiting for Tendo's text.
