Chapter 34, Amusement Park

THIRD POV

"Shiro," Bokuto whined at the girl who was walking.

"Shirome, what do you mean 'Tetsuro already won'? Is that Tetsuro, Kuroo-san?" Akaashi questioned her, although he already knows the answer.

She suddenly laughed, making the two confused. The girl turned with a bright smile but a teasing look, "I didn't know it affected you both so much. I was just kidding, we're not dating."

Both of then released a heavy sigh of relief, Shirome snickered and continued to walk.

"Hey, Shiro. Where are we going?" Bokuto happily asked as he skipped beside Shirome.

"Hm. Not telling, you'll both know when we get there," She giggled, making the boys' hearts flutter.

Both of them shrugged and hummed.

Bokuto was dressed in a white shirt, gold bomber jacket, black ripped jeans, and a pair of pretty black and gold shoes.

Akaashi was dressed in a slightly oversized baby blue hoodie, black jeans, and a pair of cool blue shoes.

Shirome was dressed in a black turtleneck underneath a crimson red sleeveless dress that stopped at her mid thighs, and a pair of clean white shoes.

Overall, the three of them looked stunning.

"Ah, we're here," Shirome turned to both boys and smiled, "Welcome to my favorite Amusement Park!"

Both boys were in awe, the amusment park looked absolutely awesome. It has various of rides and so much more.

So many food stalls. Bokuto drooled in his mind.

So many toys to give Shirome. Akaashi smiled internally.

"Do you guys like it?" Shirome asked them. They both immediately nodded and grabbed her to go inside the amusement park.

"Wait, slow down," She laughed.

"Sorry," They sheepishly smiled.

"Hm, I'm supposed to reserve this place. But I figured it would be boring if it's just the three of us playing."

Akaashi smiled and Bokuto laughed, "Shirome, you don't need to that. Just you by our side, we're happy enough."

She smiled, "I have 2 rules by the way."

The boys hummed in confusion.

"1, don't get lost," She glanced at Bokuto, "And 2, have fun," She glanced at Akaashi.

"Aye!" Both of them saluted.

Shirome couldn't stop Akaashi who paid for their tickets in, because she was held by Bokuto. He smiled at her when he let go, she pouted. Akaashi laughed and ruffled her hair.

"Today, we treat you well. We'll make sure you don't spend a single currency in any shop here. It's our treat, and our time to make you happy," Akaashi smiled and lightly pinched her cheek.

Bokuto nodded, "Yup!"

She sighed, "I have no other choice but to agree, do I?" They both nodded.

"Come on! Let's try those roller coasters!".

"Bokuto-san, you're emptying the seller's shop," Akaashi smiled as Bokuto ate one of the last takoyaki from the shop.

"Mwhaht?" He asked?

"You need to stop, Bokuto-san. Look, the seller's kind of crying," Akaashi frowned and pointed at the seller. Bokuto just frowned and continued eating.

Akaashi face palmed and Shirome stood on her tip toes to wipe the sauce on the corner of his lips using a tissue. Bokuto froze and stopped chewing, staring at her with wide eyes.

Shirome sighed, "You need to stop, Kou. We still need to try a few rides."

"Y-Yesh ma'am!" He saluted with his cheeks still puffed with takoyaki.

Akaashi took a takoyaki from Bokuto, making him whine. He ate the takoyaki, purposely smudging a bit of sauce on the corner of his lip.

"Not you too, Keiji," She laughed and got a new tissue, doing the same to Akaashi.

He looked down at her intensely and lazily smiled, making Shirome's heart flutter.

"Keiji?" She quietly asked him, confused at his actions.

Bokuto shoved a takoyaki in Shirome's mouth, startling her and Akaashi, "Hehe, the takoyaki is delicious! Right, Akaashi?" Bokuto smiled widely before slightly looking at Akaashi with a warning look.

"Yes, it does," He said laughing. Shirome happily chewed the takoyaki, slightly blushing at how delicious it was. She bowed to the seller with a smile, he waved her off.

"Let's go! I wanna play that shooting game," Shirome dragged both of the boys' hands to a game stall.

"I'll play for you, Shirome. Do you want that toy? I'll get it for you," Akaashi said, approaching the stall.

"No, I'll get it for you," Bokuto approached it too.

"Bokuto-san, I have great aim. I'm a setter," Akaashi looked at him.

Bokuto smirked, "I also have great aim. Have you seen my line shots?"

Shirome cleared her throat, making them look at her, "I'm the one playing. I wanna get you both that toys," She said with a smile, pointing to one horned and one barred owl. Both of the boys smiled at her.

"Do your best, Shiro-chan! Although, I doubt you'd get it. I have greater aim," Bokuto winked at her. Akaashi smiled at her, "I'm counting on you, Shiro."

She nodded and went to the stall after Akaashi had paid for it. Akaashi was in charge of paying the games and rides, Bokuto was in charge of paying for the food. And Shirome is the one getting spoiled.

"Alright," She muttered as she cocked the gun, standing straight and making sure her posture is perfect.

"And...start!"

The owner made a timer of 15 seconds for Shirome to shoot down anything she likes. He smirked at her.

You've got a pretty face, but no one has ever got more than 3 toys within 15 seconds. The owner laughed maliciously in his mind.

"Hey, that's the popular game right? I heard it was hard!

"Yeah, I bet she won't even hit any."

They were all dumfounded when she started playing. She shot the 2 owls, 2 cats, and a cute cherry shaped pillow within 10 seconds.

I knew it. Bokuto and Akaashi sweatdropped.

The owner dropped to the ground on his knees, "How?!"

Shirome was confused at why there was people around them, and why the owner was kneeling.

The remaining 5 seconds ended and it was time for her prize. The owner sniffled and handed her the 5 stuff toys. She smiled at him with a thanks and handed the boys' toys. They smiled and patted her head.

Bokuto had bought Shirome a cute backpack for the toys, so she won't be tired from holding it all on her arms. They smiled at how cute but pretty at the same time Shirome was.

"Wait, I need to go to the comfort room. Some kid accidentally hit my face with a freshly painted ball," Bokuto frowned. Shirome laughed and told him they'll wait for him.

When Bokuto got to the restroom, Akaashi immediately pulled Shirome away and to a quiet area. It was slightly hidden from the people.

"Keiji?" She raised a brow.

He blinked, "Oh uh, sorry," He chuckled, "The crowd is kind of making me nervous."

"It's okay," She smiled and looked at the restroom from afar.

"Hey, Shirome," Akaashi bit the bottom of his lip, suddenly getting nervous.

"Hm?" She turned to him.

"Remember when we were at training camp?" He fiddled with his fingers, Shirome looked confused before nodding.

"Yeah, why?"

"Bokuto-san told me something," He said, "He said he likes you. He said 'I might have a crush on Shiro-chan', his words."

"Hmm?" Shirome just hummed at him in confusion.

"It's hard to get him to stop once he starts crushing on someone," He bit his lip, "I really want him focused this Nationals."

"I see...," Shirome teasingly smiled, "Do you like me, Keiji?"

Akaashi's eyes almost popped out off of its pockets, "No! I mean, I do but – I'm not crushing on you like Bokuto-san is.."

She laughed, "I jest!"

"What's your plan?" He asked her as they started to walk again.

The girl could only hum, "I didn't really have the luxury of time to think about liking someone. I'm used to confessions, they're almost a daily routine for me. Sometimes I feel guilty, you know? Because knowing myself, I can't like someone back. At least not now? Maybe I'm too busy, maybe I'm too numb. Both?"

"I see. It's not an easy feat to be a busy person," Akaashi grinned, "You've been doing great so far and you know your priorities."

The gradient head nodded, "The club has also become part of my family. I would do anything for them. Some of them wants to go Pro, and some just wants to stick by," She giggled, "They're my cute teammates and I would do everything in my power to improve them. That's why I never really gave relationships a thought. I'm already occupied as it is. It's either my nose is buried in work, school, the club, or all."

"I understand," Akaashi nodded, "I just want what's good for Bokuto-san, and I know that you'll be good to him. But I know it's not your obligation to reciprocate anyone."

Shirome smiled. She likes talks like this.

"I'll do what I possibly can. Until then, Keiji," She grabbed his hand and gave it a quick squeeze before letting go, "Don't let your eyes off of Koutaro. Okay?"

"Always," He smiled as they waited for Bokuto to return.
