Chapter 33, Which
THIRD POV
"Furumi-sama, your friends are here," A butler told the empty girl.
I'm pathetic.
"Who?" She quietly asked, eyes never leaving the ceiling.
I've been confined in my own house for 3 days. Is it saturday right now?
"Bokuto-sama and Akaashi-sama."
She froze and forced herself to stand up, wincing. The small girl fell back on the bed with a sigh.
"Shiro, don't push yourself."
She heard Akaashi say softly. Two footsteps approached her and sat at the chairs beside her bed.
The medical staff in the house recovered and cleaned Shirome's appearance these past 3 days. The glow in her hair was back, her milky skin paired with her rosy cheeks were back, her lips are soft and pink.
They might have repaired her physically, but she looks like an empty shell. She looked soulless. Her eyes were dark and empty, her facial expression was really blank.
Bokuto teared up, "Shiro, you worried us..."
"Bokuto-san...you sound like you're accusing her. Please stop," Akaashi softly whispered to him.
Bokuto nodded and reached for her hand, but she whimpered and pulls away. She immediately sat up and got away from him. Bokuto's eyes widened and his heart broke.
Realizing what she did, her eyes widened and she began to cry. Her breath shook, "S-Sorry...I didn't mean to. Kou-Koutaro...here, I'm fine....s-see??" She shakily took his hand and softly touched it.
Bokuto release tears and gently hugged her, softly sobbing on her shoulder. She was breathing shakily while crying, but she couldn't sob. She hugged him back carefully and took in his warmth. Bokuto breathed in her sweet scent that was mixed with the smell of sanitizers.
Akaashi teared up but sniffled and looked away, his lips were slightly trembling. Although Shirome wasn't that close with them, they still felt pain seeing her like that.
Shirome heard Akaashi and softly pulled back from Bokuto, she turned to him and pulled him in a hug. The ravenette responded immediately, caressing her back and whispered soothing words to her. Bokuto took a tissue from a small table and dried his wet face. She pulled away and kissed the tears that fell from Akaashi's face, "Don't cry. I'm not dying you know. Just tired," She smiled as she lightly joked at him sweetly. He nodded with a slight blush.
She turned to Bokuto who was pouting, she let out a light chuckle and leaned to kiss his cheek. When she pulled back, he was flaring red and frozen. She didn't mind though, she took a tissue and dried Akaashi's face with it. She dried Bokuto's after.
"We're stupid, we're supposed to be comforting you," Akaashi frowned, and Bokuto still sat with a red face but nodded.
"It's okay, I'm feeling fine now. Sorry I didn't get to hang out with both of you," She smiled sadly and fiddled with her fingers.
"N-No! Don't apologize, you've done nothing wrong," Bokuto said and hugged her again.
"Bokuto-san, if you keep hugging Shiro she will have difficulty breathing," Akaashi tried to reason out with him.
"Oh, right. Sorry," He smiled.
"It's fine," She smiled and turned to the clock.
It was 9 AM.
"Wait, why aren't you both at school? Or practicing?" She asked both of them with furrowed brows.
"It's sunday today and coach allowed us to visit you," Akaashi comfortingly smiled at her, Bokuto nodded happily.
"What...? You have to prioritize your training–"
"Hmp!"
Akaashi and Shirome looked at each other, then at Bokuto.
He wore a pout with his arms crossed, he refused to look at Shirome. Akaashi face palmed and massaged his temples, he had enough of his shit.
"Bokuto-san," Akaashi warned.
"But Akaashi! Shirome totally thought training was more important than her! Who wouldn't be mad! Hmp!" He turned away from them and looked to the corner of the room, still being a baby.
"Bokuto-san, I get that. But you didn't have to–," He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Hey, Akaashi. I'm well enough to go outside the room today. Let's go outside?" Shirome asked, pissing Bokuto off.
Akaashi smiled, knowing what she was doing. He nodded, "Of course. Come on, Shiro. Grab my arm so you won't fall."
Bokuto's ears perked up and turned to Shirome. He tackled her to the bed and snuggled close to her, hugging her waist while his face was buried on her neck, "No! Don't leave yet! Don't leave me!" He whined. Akaashi just rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
Shirome laughed and played with Bokuto's hair, "Hey, Akaashi?"
"On it," He moved closer, trying to pry Bokuto's thick arms off of her.
"W-Wait no! Why do you want me off, Shiro?" Bokuto whined.
She laughed, "I need to freshen up and change. I'm taking us somewhere. I have no schedule today, and I'm free to go."
They both happily smiled and Bokuto immediately sat up with wide excited eyes. Shirome laughed once more and got off of the bed with the help of Akaashi. He helped her out of the room and she went to her own to prepare for the day.

"Oh? Kokoshiro, who are these fine young men?" Her mom teasingly smiled at her as she entered the living room. Akaashi was braiding two parts of Shirome's hair as Bokuto waited while playing on his phone.
"Mom," She frowned as both boys froze and blushed.
Akaashi tied her hair and bowed to her mom, "I'm Akaashi Keiji, sorry for the intrusion. I wanted to see how your daughter was doing."
Bokuto stumbled to his feet and bowed, almost falling, "H-Hello, Shiro's mom! I mean, Furumi-san, Furumi-sama–"
Akaashi face palmed along with Shirome, her mom laughed at his cuteness.
"I'm Shihana Furumi, Shirome's mom. May I get you anything before you leave?" She kindly asked as she motioned for a maid to come over.
"Mom, it's okay. We're off now, see you at dinner," She slightly bowed her head.
"Ah, no no. It's okay if you don't come for dinner, as long as if both of them spent the day with you," She smiled and sent an apologetic look to the maid.
"T-Thank you for letting us hang out with Shiro!" Bokuto smiled happily.
She laughed, "It's okay, I'm happy for her honestly. She never hangs out with boys except Kenma, so this was new," Her mom exposed her.
"M-Mom!" Shirome blushed and narrowed her eyes at her mom.
Bokuto and Akaashi smirked at her, "Never? Does this mean we're special, Shiro~?" Bokuto teased her, completely ignoring the mention of Kenma.
She sighed, "Well, I guess so."
"Eep! So cute," Shihana squealed like a teenager, "So, who's the boyfriend?"
Shirome blushed, "W-What–"
"So cute!! Let me take a picture of you three!" She brought her phone out.
Shirome was centered with Akaashi and Bokuto at the sides, slightly crouching to reach her height, she frowned but both boys lifted the corner of her lips with their pointer fingers. The camera clicked, capturing the picture.
"Hey," Shirome pouted, her mom and the boys laughed at her.
"Well, I got to go now. I still have a meeting. Both of you bring her safely home, okay? It's okay what time you did, just make sure she gets home unharmed. I'll be waiting who wins the boyfriend award," She winked and disappeared to the other room.
"Well, that was my mom I guess," Shirome sweatdropped and turned to the boys. They were having a stare off.
"I'll win, Akaashi," Bokuto smirked at him.
Akaashi raised a brow, "Okay?"
"Stop it, both of you. Let's leave now," She said and was about to exit the house, but turned to both of them.
She smirked, "By the way, Tetsurou already won," She joked and got out.
Both of them froze.
You're dead, Kuro. Both of them thought.
