EMMAS POV

"Annabelle, what were you thinking!" I shouted while I drived home from school.

"You could of harmed someone" Killian finished.

"I said I'm sorry, it was suppose to hit that boy" Annabelle said from the back seat.

"And that's better!" I yelled as I slammed the brakes in front of the house.

"Emma, please calm down" Killian whispered to me.

I got out of the car and slammed the door shut.

KILLIANS POV

"Daddy, I'm sorry, mommy won't let me explain...she hates me" Annabelle said right after Emma got out of the car.

"She doesn't hate you sweetheart, she's just...been through a lot today, I'll go talk to her, you go into the house, go" I said managing to smile.

Annabelle got out of the car, and into the house.

Emma was standing in the middle of the front yard pacing back and forth.

I got out of the car and walked up to her.

"Emma, love, you don't have to yell at her, what happened back there, it was so unlike you" I said.

"Killian! You don't understand, I'm trying to protect her, and if she doesn't listen, there is nothing, nothing, I can do!" She shouted letting a tear roll down her cheek.

"And screaming is not helping the issue" I said.

"But..."

"But nothing" I cut her off "if you scream at her, she's going to not listen to you even more, you just have to talk to her, and show her that actions have consequences" I finished.

"You want me to ground her" she asked surprised.

"If it'll show her that actions have consequences, than yes" I said.

"Ughh, you're right, I have to calm down, stop yelling, and talk to her"
she finally said.

"Now, shall we go back inside?" I said.

"Yeah...I hate it when your the reasonable parent" she said and walked to the front door, me following behind her.

"I know" I said smiling.

ANNABELLES POV

I was sitting on the couch when mommy and daddy walked in the house.

"I'm sorry, I really am" I said.

"I know" mommy said, she came and kneeled next to me.

"I know your sorry, and I am too, I shouldn't of yelled at you like that, I was just mad, I mean, I want to protect you, but if you don't listen, there is nothing I can do, Annabelle, I need you to listen, can you do that for me?"

"Yeah" I said and hugged her.

"Can I explain what happened now" I said.

"Yes...after I discuss something with you" she said.

"What?" I asked.

"Your punishment"

"What? I'm grounded? But I thought you weren't mad anymore" I said.

"I'm not, but you need to learn" said mommy "and to learn...no TV for a week" she finished.

I frowned.

"Now go get in the shower, after that, do your homework, then you can explain to me what happened" she said.

"Okay" I said and ran to the shower.

EMMAS POV

I stood up and sat on a stool by the kitchen island.

"You did good love" Killian said and walked up to me.

"Yes I did, and I didn't need your help" I said sarcastically.

"May I remind you I'm the one who told you to calm down and talk to her"
He said with a smirk.

"Can you let me feel proud for a minute" I said.

"What are you talking about, you should be proud of yourself, your a wonderful mother, a great daughter, and the best wife, what's not to be proud of" he said sweeping my hair out of my face.

"Okay, you win" I said.

I grabbed his collar and kissed him.
