Zen: Planet Takion came under attack by a race called the Ultralinks, intent on absorbing their T.U.R.B.O. (Tachyon Unlimited Radiant Bio-Optimized Energy) energy and expanding their influence for the glory of their leader Makino. One Takonian warrior named Ja'em Mk'rah was fending off many Ultralinks when he was approached by one name N'Baro Aksteel X377, or commonly known as Steel, who seeks to bond with. Jim questioned why his planet was attacked and that there's no glory in killing innocent lives which made Steel doubt their ways.

Ziana: However when Ja'em was attacked by a Xenoshok, Steel bonds with him and the the resulting blast of energy kill the creature. But it was too late as Makino used the Alphalink to devour Takion. Jim and Steel used a ship of Ja'em to  escape to Earth which was Makino's next target. There he went by the name Jim McGrath and formed N-Tek with Molly Ferrus, Forge Ferrus and Miles Dread to stop Makino's invasion of Earth as well as making the Turbo Star and Morphos, though the latter was shut down due to being considered more dangerous than even Makino himself.

Kira: After repelling, Jim and Molly married and had a son, Maxwell MacGrath. However, Miles was making a device that harnesses T.U.R.B.O. for his own gain. However things went wrong as it causes an explosion that nearly kills him, Jim and ultimately shutting down Steel for 16 years. However, things changed when Max, who turned 16, was running away from bullies and let out a massive explosion of T.U.R.B.O. energy which caught Forge's attention.

Ziana: Forge introduced Max to N-Tek and kept him in a chamber to keep his power under control. But he too caused an explosion there that wrecks the place. Fortunately, Steel was reactivated and bonds with Max to keep his powers maintained. Despite their rocky start and being captured, Max and Steel became best friends and whenever they fused, they become the one and only, Max Steel!

Kira: Max has your basic superhuman strength, speed and durability in addition to be able to generate huge T.U.R.B.O. Energy thanks to his Takonian heritage. Bu Max's bread and butter are his  Turbo Modes, which he and Max can tap into upon fusing. Strength Mode is obviously super strong, Flight Mode grants him the ability to fly, Cannon Mode will launch him at his desired target like an actual cannon and Speed Mode goes from 0 to 100,000 mph.

Zen: He can whip at a distance with Spike Mode, attack at long range with either Heat, Rocket or Nova Modes and with Clone Mode, Max can duplicate the Turbo Mode he uses like with Cannon Mode. Scuba Modes allows Max to swim in cold temperatures and withstand ocean pressures. And if he's in need of a giant form to battle Kaiju-sized opponents, his Titan Mode can match your expectations.

Popup: Max also learned Duo Strike which allows him to fuse two Turbo Modes at once. Known Duo Strike modes are Cannon Spike, Hydro Heat and Sonic Flight Modes. 

Kira: However, in Turbo-Charged, a villain named Terrorax permanently separated Max and Steel in order to gain a portion of Max's energy-

Zen: Which, I'm sorry, has gotta be the stupidest thing they've ever done. Hellooooo! The series is named Max Steel! What's the point of calling the show that anymore when Max and Steel are unable to fuse?! Why name that show Max Steel anymore?! Who the fuck came up with this idea?! Why I oughta-

Kira: *Shocked*A-Anyways, after being tortured for hours, Max reached his limits and generated a new variation called Green T.U.R.B.O, which was so potent that Steel can't control it, but it's far stronger than its blue predecessor and doesn't destroy electronic devices when touched.

Ziana: And don't worry, for this battle Max will retain his Turbo Modes.

Ziana: Max and Steel proved themselves to be a formidable duo. Max could take hits from nuclear blasts, survived falling from skyscrapers and lift 72,000 tons without much trouble. And with their powers combined, they are capable of defeating a lot of villains who either seek to take Max's T.U.R.B.O. Energy or take over the Earth such as Miles Dread, Extroyer, Morphos, the Elementors, Mortum, Makino and Terrorax.

Zen: *Wakes up and groans* Which is definitely a resume to look at cause many of them are capable of destroying planets. Max in Turbo Cannon Mode took hits from Fire, Water, Earth and Earth Elementors  before taking them all down in one shot. Even then Max Steel bested their fused forms Ultimate and Mega Elementor with Metal Elementor.

Kira: But those guys paled in comparison to Morphos, Makino and Terrorax. Max overpowered Makino who made a drill with enough power to split the Earth in half and easily bested Morphos, who copied the abilities of the Elementors, Miles Dread, Extroyer and Toxzon. But his greatest fight was with Terrorax in his Dragon Mode, whose Terror Energy can annihilate at a molecular level and can output 19.02 Yottatons of TNT. Yet Max was able to best him.

Weaknesses

if Max is separated from Steel for more than 8 hours, Max will overload with T.U.R.B.O. Energy and then will explode, causing his death

If Max is separated from Steel, he can get stuck in a specific Turbo Mode, which can be bad depending the occasion. For example, in Turbo Deep Star Sea, Max got stuck in Turbo Scuba Mode, which made it very difficult to defeat Metal Elementor and the other Ultralinks, since the mode doesn't have super-strength or any special attribute other than its underwater capabilities, such as swimming at high speed.

Max can still get tired

Kira: But being formidable doesn't equal unstoppable. Without Steel to kept his T.U.R.B.O. Energy in check, Max would explode from overloading. And since he needs Steel to change Turbo Modes, he can get in a bad situation if they get separated while Max is stuck in a form that's not suited for the situation. Like the time Max was stuck in Scuba Mode which only has super swimming capabilities and not ideal to fight Metal Elementor since it lacks super strength.

Zen: *Sighs* Though that is no longer the issue when Terrorax permanently separated them. And even then Steel had been kidnapped a lot.

Ziana: But whatever comes their way, Max and Steel will be there to save the day

Max: It's not easy to be proud of something that makes me so different.
