Your voice, it was hoarse but rang like steel chimes,

I missed you so much, you were gone for a year,

I lay down next to you and wiped away the tears.

We first saw your parents, then Henry, your son

All through the hugs, I expected you to run

But you stayed by my side, holding my hand,

Frankly I'm surprised that you could even stand.

I brought you back to my house by the sea,

I lay you in bed and you smiled at me.

You said "Killian I missed you, more than you know,"

I said "Emma, my love for you will only grow,"

Among other words we exchanged before sleep,

My favourite was giving the ring you promised to keep.

It belonged to my mother for her whole life,

I wanted you to have it when I asked you to be my wife.

Thank God you said yes or I don't know what I'd do,

I don't think I could live one more day without you.

We wed in July on the beach by the docks,

The scenery beautiful, the water and rocks,

That night you told me you were with child,

The events after that, well, things got a bit wild.

That year you were absent, I try to forget,

Because when I think of it, I start to fret.

I don't want to lose you like I lost you that day,

But Dark One or not, Emma, I know you'll stay.

Now that we're living the life of our dreams,

I can say quite honestly, it's more than I deemed.
