i wanted to tell you that for the first time in my life, i wanted to be bare
unlike before when i am doubtful enough to show my vulnerability.

i wanted to tell you that you opened a door of willingness to fight for my feelings
unlike before when i am careless enough to let people go without a fight.

i wanted to tell you that i'm still perplexed with the thought of you liking me so i want reassurances
unlike before when i am coward enough to ask for validity.

i wanted to tell you that you completed my unlisted list of ideal standards without both of us knowing it
unlike before when i am busy enough stressing myself with red flags and turn offs.

and most of all, i wanted to tell you that you are the positive thing that has been added into my life that eliminates the blues and clouds in my long dead paradise.

i always wanted to tell you all of this but then i wanted anything but to overwhelm you
so i will just keep this in my pocket until fate tricked me and flew this poem at your hands.
